The cold wind. That is what was currently causing Sirius' face to feel like it was about to fall off entirely.
It was around 2pm when he had noticed some more storm clouds coming in, which seemed to be quite common this past month. But it was now 5pm, and Sirius was practically running across the courtyard in order to avoid getting drenched. And it was then that he spotted Moony standing with his back to him, talking to some random 3rd year who seemed much more invested in Remus' hair than anything else.
"Oh merlin" he thought to himself as he stomped over to his boyfriend.
Remus almost immediately spun around at the mere presence of Sirius and gave him a small smile.
"There you are, Pads, I've been looking for you"
"Sorry.. I was at the pitch with Marls and it started pouring." As he finished his sentence, he blew a strand of hair out of his face and moved his eyes over to the 3rd year who seemed to be shamelessly staring at HIS boyfriend.
Remus cleared his throat, and the 3rd year almost immediately noticed his mistake and ran away.
It was now Remus' turn to apologize as he kissed Sirius' cheek gently.
All Sirius did was pull Remus closer to him so they were holding eachother in their arms.
"Can't believe it's pouring again, it's like the 400th time this week" Sirius mumbled into his boyfriend's shoulder.
"Fifth time." Remus corrected as he ran his hands down the brunette's back.
Suddenly, an idea popped into Sirius' head and he pulls Remus into the courtyard.
"Love, what're you doing?". Remus asked as he looked down at his lover.
"wann' dance with you." Sirius mumbled shyly into his shoulder.
"That is quite sweet but it's freezing and pouring rain." He replied.
"Please, Moons."
Oh how easily Remus buckled whenever Sirius begged.
"Fine" he replied as he started to slowly sway with his boyfriend.
This continued for a few minutes and only ended when a quite loud Regulus Black yelled across the courtyard.
"Siri, stop waltzing with your bloody boyfriend for a second, will you?!"
Sirius lifted his head from Remus' shoulder and whipped his head around to where his brother stood about 20 feet away from him, and waved to him much more enthusiastically than needed, which caused Remus to stifle a laugh at the brothers shenanigans.
"What is it, Reg?" Sirius yelled back.
"Peter's found your pretty sappy love letters to Lupin, and is having a joyful time" replied the younger Black.
Remus looked down at Sirius, who seemed to be a bit red.
"What is this now? Love letters to me?" Remus asked, in a teasing tone.
"I'm gonna kill Pete.." Sirius grumbled.
When the pair looked back up to Regulus, he was engrossed in a conversation with James, who seemed to have his arm around a very unimpressed and annoyed Reg.
Sirius immediately grabbed Remus' hand and dragged him over to James and Regulus.
"Reg, you cannot be teasing me about love letters, when James here is making heart eyes at you" Sirius chipped at his younger brother.
"That is not my fault" Regulus replied in a tone that Remus wasn't able to make out, possibly embarrassed? And was Regulus blushing slightly?
"I am not making heart eyes at your baby brother, Padfoot". James grumbled as he leaned his head on Regulus' shoulder. Remus was a bit suprised that Reg hadn't shoved him off yet.
"You definitely are" Remus said.
"Maybe you're right, Mr. Black." James said.
"James!" Sirius whined.
Remus looked down at Sirius, who was hiding his face in his hands.
"Just be glad he's not talking about the entire 2 pages you have about "that one sweater that rides up Moony's stomach" and "Moony's muscles that came in over the summer". Regulus replied.
Sirius threw his hands up in exasperation and Remus laughed.
"Come here, don't be embarrassed" Remus said in a teasing tone at his shy boyfriend who was avoiding eye contact with anyone.
Sirius just kissed Remus gently and raked his hands through his hair, and if he noticed Regulus' hand around James' wrist as they walked away, he didn't say anything.
