The End of the Hogwarts Years

Severus Snape grew up impoverished and isolated. This is a look at why this existance came to be, and what happened to his mother.Involves threats of infantacide, discussion of abortion, unwanted pregnancy, threats of unwanted marriages, self-mutilation, and extreme depression/self-destructive behavior. Neither of his parents are perfect, and unfortunately their imperfections clash catastrophically with their circumstances.

This is the same universe as my Severus Snape series, but covers some of the material that is relevant but just doesn't come up naturally in the Severus series. Some little quirks that are personally amusing to me emerge if you read both, but they can be stand-alone. Severus is by far my favorite character, and so everything I write will come back to him somehow. This series is specifically exploring who Eileen was and who she became, and why. It's dark. I'm not sure if the most traumatic bits will happen in this series or in the Severus series, but since they are connected, this is my warning that this is going to be a very morally gray area series- one example, there will be rampant drug use in both as well as acts of terrorism, child abuse, and animal abuse. I don't like these things, I'm not glorifying them. But horrible shit happens and this is one way I have to deal with it.
