Chapter 8

Seren groaned, his mother had went on another small vacation to 'officially' recover from the shock of their father mentioning divorce in front of two of her followers. Thankfully, not very many of the nobility knew about the affair his father had had. After the disaster at LooLooLand, his father had taken Octavia to StylishOccult and bought her some weird taxidermy of some strange-looking creature most people didn’t even know existed or could even see. It was a purplish-colored creature with a spiral horn atop it’s head and a pig-like nose known as a crumple horned snorkack. Apparently the ability to see the elusive creature was something passed down from special bloodlines so Stolas, Octavia, and Seren could all see it. However, their mother couldn’t despit also being a member of the Ars Goetia bloodline and she had been absolutely furious that they could all see it while she couldn’t. The trait must have come from their paternal grandmother. Once Seren and Octavia had kids of their own then they too would be able to see many other elusive creatures.

After getting weird taxidermy for his sister, they were taken to the pet store that he had wanted to go to. He had managed to bound with an ice phoenix there with gorgeous white feathers and the power over ice. It also had incredible teleportation powers, healing tears, a human-world disguise, and the ability to telepathically communicate with him due to their bound to one another. Through this telepathy, the ice phoenix told him that it was female and that her name was Hedwig. His mother had been ecstatic about his new pet, gushing about how all the other nobles would be incredibly jealous once they saw his bounded familiar and how it proved how superior he was compared to them.

She had wanted to take him along with her to her vacation, but his father had told her that he was staying with him no matter how much she screamed otherwise. In the end, his mother reluctantly left on her vacation without him and promised to come home in time for his birthday ball on July 31st. Unfortunately, now he was stuck dealing with his father’s ‘brilliant’ idea of bonding with his imp lover during what was the human world’s spring break week. Seren sighed in exasperation, he didn't want to be here.

“I know how you feel, kid. I didn’t want this anymore than you did.” Blitzo drawled out.

Seren groaned, “Why doesn’t Via have to be here too? This is so unfair!”

He hadn’t even been at I.M.P headquarters for 30 minutes before his father’s imp lover Blitzo met with his ex-girlfriend Verosika Mayday which eventually evolved into him challenging her and her followers to a demon duel. The imps now had to kill more humans then the incubi and succubi could sleep with. Blitzo then told them his plan that honestly didn’t seem like a plan, but more like Blitzo’s daydream of what would happen. So his father was in love with a dreamer. G r e a t, that was the last thing his father needed. He was going to be stuck with this telenovela drama his life had become until he became an adult.

“Do you have any questions?” Blitzo finished with a self-satisfied smile.

“Uh, yeah. Why was that nonsense?” Moxxie asked.

“That wasn’t a question.” Blitzo replied.

“That wasn’t a plan.” Moxxie tried to explain.

“Sorry, but that was a flawless presentation of what we should do, Mox. It’s not my fault you got a smooth little brain upstairs.” Blitzo told Moxxie condescendingly with a grin as he made circular motions around his temple.

“A what now?” Moxxie asked with a raised eyebrow.

“I’m calling you slow, Moxxie. God! Why don’t you learn to take criticism you talentless, baby-dicked troll!" Blitzo said as he proceeded to aggressively poke Moxxie’s chest with each insult he uttered.

“Well, why don’t you take an art class!” Moxxie snapped back, getting on top of their meeting table angrily.

“Why don’t you see how expensive they are!” Blitzo screamed.

“Is it always like this?” Seren asked the hellhound named Loona.

“Yes, it is.” Loona said as she looked away from her phone to look at him with a smirk before turning to her adoptive father and his employees to ask a question, “Hey, is there a way I can come with you guys this time?”

“Absolutely not! I forbid it! Not going to happen! Sorry, sweetie. Spring break is no place for you vulnerable goth girls! You know the kind of freaks up there who’d drool all over you!” Blitzo said, completely opposed to having his precious adopted daughter join them.

“Well, I can blend in with humans easy enough. Plus, you’re taking prince Seren with you. Just let me tag along!” She argued.

“Wait… say that again…” Blitzo said.

“I can… blend in…” Loona said slowly.

“Do you have a human disguise?” Millie asked.

“Yeah, don’t you?” She asked.

The three imps looked guilty and glanced at one another before looking back at the other two demons which was all the answer they needed. They didn’t.

“You three have been screwing around on Earth this whole fucking time w i t h o u t human disguises!” Loona yelled.

Seren dropped his head into his hands in despair, “Idiot! My father is sleeping with an absolute moron… Are Loona and I the only ones that have a human form?”

“Wait, you have a human form too? Okay, new plan! Loony and the little princeling can lure the humans to us and we’ll take care of the rest.” Blitzo said, “Okay? How about that?”

“Flawless logic.” Millie agreed with a smile.

“I think you’re missing the biggest issue, sir. Isn’t it crucial to have a client that demands enough kills to win this bet? We aren’t just going up to massacre!” Moxxie said.

“I got that covered, Mox.” Blitzo said with a smirk.

They soon went outside and Blitzo put up a single hand-drawn flyer he had made stating that killing victims for spring break was 50% off before walking back to his employees and Seren.

“Now, we wait.” Blitzo told Moxxie with a confident smile.

“Sir… there is noway we are going to get enough clients by the end of the day with one poorly spelt, bad grammar flyer!” Moxxie argued.

They all turned around after noticing loud footsteps in the direction of where Blitzo had put up his flyer and noticed a very long line of eager potential client, much to Blitzo’s delight and Moxxie’s dismay at being proven wrong.

“Now, who’s first?” Blitzo asked as he confidently strides towards the growing crowd of Sinners.
