Chapter 9: Meeting Freya and three of her Valkyries
Folkvangr, Vanaheim
In the Hall known as Sessrúmnir, a stunningly beautiful woman with floor length blonde hair and sapphire blue eyes (think Emilie de Ravin with long hair) was sitting upon her throne. On the back of her throne was her cloak of feathers.
In the middle of the hall a bright light flashed and when everyone was able to see, they saw a miniature emerald green Amphiptere.
The small Amphiptere flies towards Freya, it opens its mouth and you can hear Loki's voice.
"Lady Freya, I am in need of your help. I have found a Valkyrie hybrid that needs training. Meet me on Midgard at Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place, London, England."
The Amphiptere's mouth snaps close and disappears in a flash of light.
Freya hums. Even though she's been greeting warriors, she's been bored as well.
So Freya stands, and straightens her tight brown, skirted, leather outfit. With a snap of her fingers her long hair ends up in a braid that no longer drags the ground. And the rest of her warrior battle suit appears, a breastplate with Runes inlaid with gold, gauntlets with runes, arms bands that have runes in gold and amber and knee high boots (Think Xena's outfit from Xena: Warrior Princess).
She looks out at her Valkyries, and spots her three lieutenants; Melisandre, Cythereia and Annwyl the Red are the oldest and most powerful than of her Valkyries.
Melisandre was born in 200 B.C. and by the time she was two she was kidnapped from Carthage by Romans. She was given to Roman General Publius Cornelius Scipio when soldiers found her worshiping Anat, Baal Hammon, Resheph and Hawot. She was made to use her abilities to make sure that the Roman Republic won every battle they fought. But at the age of sixteen she went mad as the Roman General made her watch as he killed her mother who was a member of the Barcids family.
It was during her fury and fighting against the Romans that Freya Njördsdottir was watching the fury of the young witch. So when the soldiers finally killed Melisandre, Freya resurrected her as a Valkyrie but at that moment that Melisandre awoken she was able to get her vengeance upon the soldiers of the platoon but wasn't able to kill the Roman General Publius Cornelius Scipio.
Cythereia was born in 147BC on the island of Cythera. She was named so, because her parents worshiped the Goddess Aphrodite, Greek goddess of beauty, love, desire, passion, pleasure, and fertility.
She was born just before The Battle of Nepheris, it was to be the second battle of the Third Punic War. Her parents were pacifists and ran a farm. There they grew and raised Apples, Figs, Myrtle, mussels, rams, Doves and more; each were sacred to the Goddess Aphrodite.
One time when Cythereia was twelve, soldiers from the Roman Empire came to the island of Cythera. They were there to pillage the island, take the men and boys to become soldiers while some of the women were to be raped and kept as slaves with Cythereia and her mother Alexandra being kept as slaves.
In 130 BC at the age of seventeen, during Marcus Perperna's fight with Aristonicus, a soldier killed Alexandra. With her mother's death, Cythereia flew into a terrible rage that threatened everyone. She managed to kill Aristonicus but in the end Marcus Perperna had to kill her because she was slipping into a berserker state.
It was during her berserker state that Freya Njördsdottir took notice. Now Freya wouldn't normally interfere with the lives of Greeks with Melisandre and Cythereia being some of the exceptions.
After becoming a Valkyrie, Cythereia wasn't able to get her vengeance because she had already gotten it against Aristonicus.
But in the end she was able to slaughter some of the Roman soldiers before heading to Folkvangr.
And lastly we come to Annwyl the Red (A/N: named her after a character in a book by G.A. Aiken. I would also apologize for delving into Christianity and Jewish theology.). Annwyl was born Mary Magadalyne (changed up her last name), she was born 10 BC and in some cases people thought that she was a whore. But in reality she was possessed by demons that made her act out of at least she thought so.
It wasn't until Jesus of Nazareth began his work of helping people that Mary came to him and asked for help in one of moments of sanity. While Jesus was healing her, he found out that she in today's world suffered from Schizophrenia and that her demons were split personalities from having what's known as in today's world Dissociative identity disorder.
After being healed by Jesus, she found out that she had special abilities like Jesus did. Her abilities were mind healing and healing of the body.
In the end Mary followed Jesus and at one point she became his wife and together they had three kids.
When Jesus was 33 years of age, he began his ministry by performing baptisms, healing those that were ill, performing exorcisms, resurrections, and control over nature. His wife and children helped and followed Jesus wherever he went.
At the age of 37, held the last supper at passover, it was there that he revealed that one of Twelve Apostles would betray him. The betrayer was one Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus to The Sanhedrin for thirty pieces of silver. Judas was to kiss Jesus on the cheek and call him master.
Jesus was arrested in Jerusalem he was then sent to trial held by Jewish Authorities; Jesus was then turned over to the then current Roman government. There he was stripped of his clothing, offered vinegar mixed with myrrh to drink after he told the crowd he was thirsty.
Jesus was then hung between two convicted thieves. At nine am he was crucified and at 3pm he died. Mary Magadalyne was so distraught at the sight of her husband hung from a wooden 'T' and dead.
She watched as one of the Roman soldiers took a spear and stabbed Jesus in the side making sure that he was dead. But a strange thing occurred after the soldier pierced Jesus's side, a torrent of blood and water flew out of the hole.
Mary was furious and was stunned when a red mist (Blood Curse) settled around and in the bodies of some of the soldiers and witnesses to Jesus's crucifixion.
Before his body could be lowered, several supernatural occurrences happened. The sky in Judea turned from daylight to nighttime and the stars themselves hid. Following the darkness and earthquake occurred scaring those still standing about; rocks were being split and tombs of the deceased opened up and the body resurrected and walked about whole and healthy.
Mary Magadalyne noticed that Jesus's mother Mary and Semiramis AKA Salome the most powerful sorceress stood next to her as witnesses to what was happening. She could tell that they weren't happy about the proceedings as well.
They watched as the members of the Apostle cut Jesus down and cover him with a shroud. Mary and Salome watched Mary Magadalyne as her fury grew. They overhear that Judas Iscariot was the one who betrayed Jesus.
In a fit of Fury with her hair blowing back from her head like a Corona, Mary Magadalyne curses Judas to become a vampire to be called as the Wandering Jew to walk the planet until either Jesus, Elohim or some other divine figure can forgive him and she knows that it will be a very long time before that happens.
In Mary's fury she didn't notice the Roman soldier creeping up behind the three, but she realized it when he plunged a dagger into her heart.
In Freya's home of Folkvangr she had been watching the life and death of the one called Jesus who was the son of the Abrahamic God. But it was the woman known as Mary Magadalyne that caught her eye and attention.
When Mary was stabbed and killed, Freya had already decided to bring her back to life as a Valkyrie. Not only that but Freya appeared before Mary and explained what happened.
But there was a huge change with Mary Magadalyne that caught everyone off guard. Upon her resurrection as a Valkyrie she became a hybrid with the powers of a Fury.
Freya let Mary get her vengeance upon the soldier that killed her, Longinus the Roman soldier that pierced the side of Jesus and lastly Pontius Pilate.
Once these three men are deceased, Mary looks to her mother-in-law and Salome and asks them to look after her and Jesus's children Sara la Kali, Jesus Justus II, and Josephes.
The two women agree to look after the kids, and with Freya Njördsdottir, Mary Magadalyne changed her name to Annwyl and left Earth for vanaheim.
Freya walks over to each of these women and taps them on the shoulder. They stand and follow Freya as she leaves the hall.
She says, "Ladies, I must depart for Midgard as there is a heks there that has recently awoken her Valkyrie side."
Melisandre says "Oh really. Are you sure that this isn't some sort of prank by Loki?"
Freya smirks, "Even if it's a prank, I must travel to Midgard to check this heks out. So Melisandre, Cythereia and Annwyl I would like for you three to watch over things while I'm gone."
Melisandre looks at the other two and they nod. "We can do it. Go ahead to Midgard."
Freya teleports away in a flash of a pink heart (Think Sailor Moon's pink heart when she was performing the Moon Spiral Heart Attack in the Crystal version).
