What lucky bastards we are!

Harry

The day of the spell.

Harry has done what he needed to do. Gringotts was the first stop of the day, where he transferred all his money over to the muggle bank that Gringotts owned. Harry knew that when he found his soulmates, he would take them as far away from the wizarding world that he could go. He even got a muggle debit card and cheques.

Harry left everything else behind. That life didn’t matter, he could start new. It didn’t matter that he was an orphan, or that he was in a war. He would be Harry Peverelle. Harry didn’t want the reminder of his parents or godfather. That is why he didn’t use  Potter, Evans, or Black.

Harry picked up his quill when he sat down at his desk. He wasn’t sure if they would remember who he was, but he wanted to write this letter to his friends.

Dear Ron & Hermione,

I’m not sure if you will remember me or if you will even get this. I want to tell you how much your friendship has meant to me. We have gone through everything together. Almost everything.

I’m writing to you because I’m leaving. I have to go find them. I can’t live without my soulmates. Waking up every day alone, going to be alone every night. Seeing you and all my friends with their soulmates. It breaks my heart to be angry and jealous because I don’t have what everyone else has. I know this might seem so selfish, but I have never been selfish before.

Even if you don’t remember me, I want to know that my family is taken care of. If you go to Gringotts, you find that there are vaults for you. I wanted to make sure that my future nieces and nephews have what they needed.

I love you so much. I’ll never forget you.

Love,

Harry James Potter

Harry took a shaky breath and rolled the parchment.

“Kreacher!” Harry called and the old house-elf popped into the room. “Please give this to Ron and Hermione.” He waved his hand over the parchment that wouldn’t open until the next day.

“Kreacher will do this for Master Harry Potter.” Kreacher grumbled, then popped away.

Harry closed his eyes as tears fell down his face.

Present Day

Harry again opened his eyes, and he was in a new place. The bed underneath him was comfortable, and it smelled wonderful. He felt hands on his. Harry looked over and saw the two redheads from the pub. His breath caught, his soulmates.

“Where am I? I just remember being at the pub.” Harry held onto their hands. He would not let go. He can’t lose them if he holds on to them.

“We took you back to our house. Please forgive us.”

“We didn’t want you to wake up in a pub and we needed to make sure that you were okay.” The twin in blue cooed as he pushed the hair out of his face. Harry leaned into his touch.

Harry smiled. “So, do I get to know my savior's name?” The two men stood up with a big smiles.

“Well beautiful, I’m Fabian Prewitt .” The one in green kissed his hand.

“And I’m Gideon Prewitt. My precious one.” The one in blue leaned over and kissed his other hand.

Gideon and Fabian, why do those names sound familiar? Oh, gods! Prewitt, they are Ron’s uncles! The ones that died. Oh, gods, they are going to die!

“Do we get to know your name, beautiful?” Fabian asked as he sat down next to him. It brought him out of his head.

“Yes, I’m Harry Peverell.” That was the last name he took when he spoke with the goblins. As tears fell down his cheeks, “ Sorry.” Harry was a mess. This is unreal. He is here.

Gideon cupped his face. “Precious, don’t cry. We are all together now.”

“Yes, beautiful. We have been waiting for you for a long time.” Fabian rubbed his back in circles.

“You don’t know how long I’ve tried to find you. I thought it was impossible. Don’t worry, I will let nothing happen to you.” Harry moved to get out of bed. Two sets of hands pushed him back down.

“Beautiful, you need to rest. Gid you go whip something up for us to eat? After we eat, you can take a shower, then we can chat by the fire with some tea. I’m going to go check on the pub to make sure that James locked it up.” Fabian seemed to be the leader of the two. Harry didn’t care he had his soulmates, and that is all that mattered.

Harry nodded and closed his eyes. He wouldn’t be able to sleep again, not yet at least. He didn’t want this to be a dream. This couldn’t be a dream, right? Once he heard the twins leave, he opened his eyes and looked around the room. He cocked his head to the side. Is that a standing lamp? He looked up at the ceiling and saw a ceiling fan.

Electricity? They had electricity. When did wizards use electricity? They didn’t when he was in Hogwarts. This was the 80s. They wouldn’t have had it and taken it away ten years later.

Harry heard footsteps coming closer as he closed his eyes. He was supposed to be resting. The spell must have taken more energy than he thought. Sleep, sleep would help. When he wakes up, he will have answers.

Gideon

Gideon added the noodles to the boiling pot. The quick tomato sauce was simmering on the other burner. He hoped Harry liked Italian. The man was so pale and weak. What has he gone through? Way he talked about how long he tried to find them and thought it was impossible. Then the whole I will let nothing happen to you.

Water bubbled out of the pot. Gideon cursed and turned the burner down. Fabian walked in as he wiped up the water.

“He is still resting. Once he wakes up and gets something in his stomach, we figure out where he is staying. I don’t think I want him out of my sight after what happened at the pub.” His twin crossed his arms and leaned on the counter.

Gideon stirred the sauce and sighed. “What if he is really sick, Ian? We can’t lose him, we just got him! He sounded so scared when he was awake. As if he would lose us?” A hand squeezed his shoulder. He relaxed into his brother’s touch.

“What did I tell you about worrying, Gid? I will make sure that he isn’t sick. I bet he is just exhausted. He probably had a long train ride. I’m sure he will be right as rain after a nap and your delicious spaghetti.” Fabian squeezed his shoulder again and gave him a comforting smile.

Gideon nodded. His brother is usually right about these things. They just needed to let him rest and feed him and all will be well.

“What do you think about our soulmate, brother?” Fabian's eyebrows bounced as he smirked at him. Gideon placed the spoon down and blushed.

“He is the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen. Ian, his eyes are the greenest green. He is the perfect size to cuddle. I can't wait to hold him.”

“I agree Gid. I used to think that the boys were crazy for being how they are but are. I can see why James and Reggie and Remus and Sirius act the way they do.”

“I don’t think we will ever be as bad as Remus and Sirius. Remember when we found them in the cleaning closet?” Fabian groaned and shook his head.

“Don’t remind me. Well, James locked up and I think I’m going to put up a sign that we will be closed for the next couple of days. I know once the bond starts to form, we won’t be able to be that far from each other.”

Gideon smiled at his brother. “That is a great idea. I can’t wait to spend time with Harry. Dinner is almost ready. Do you want to go wake up our soulmate for our first dinner together?”

Gideon truly wanted to wake him up, but he wanted to make sure this dinner was perfect for him. He will get up early tomorrow and make him breakfast in bed. Jealousy wasn’t an issue for him or Fabian. They never have had an issue sharing.

He quickly plated up three heaping servings of pasta. Gideon made sure that the table was clean and, thankfully, they had four chairs. Harry would sit in between both of them.

Fabian

Fabian tiptoed into their room and saw their soulmate sleeping peacefully on their combined beds. That is where he belonged. Gideon brought up a couple of good points about how their soulmate acted when they met. They would not push their soulmate to talk about anything that he wasn’t ready to speak about.

The pads of his fingers trailed down his soulmate’s cheek. “Harry, Beautiful. It’s time for dinner.” The younger man leaned into his touch. It filled Fabian with warmth that he leaned towards his touch.

“Fabian?” Harry mumbled as his eyes opened slowly. Fabian raised his eyebrows. How did he know who he was?

“Yes, how did you know it was me?” Green eyes opened and there was a small smile on Harry’s lips.

“You call me beautiful. No one has ever called me beautiful before.” Red crept onto the smaller man’s cheeks. Fabian loved how he blushed.

“Then everyone that has seen you must have been blind. How did you sleep? Are you feeling better?” The redhead took his soulmate's hand and helped him up out of the bed. Harry didn’t let go of his hand when he was standing.

“I feel much better. It was a long night last night. It was worth it though because I met you.” Fabian watched as Harry looked down at their intertwined fingers.

“I’m glad that you feel better. Hopefully, we could live up to your worth.” Fabian raised their hands and pressed a kiss on Harry’s. “Come, let's go eat. Gid has made his famous spaghetti. I’m sure he has his homemade bread to dip. My brother is the best chef around.” Fabian loved to talk up his brother. He was proud of him when he graduated from culinary school. Gideon was made to cook in a fancy restaurant, but he wanted to own a restaurant with him. Fabian could never tell his brother no. So after he graduated with a business degree, they opened Double Trouble.

“I can smell it.” Harry took a deep breath. Fabian ushered them out of the room, giving him a small tour of their flat. It wasn’t big. It had one bedroom, one bath, a living room, and then an eat-in kitchen.

“It isn’t much, but it was perfect for us. That is until we met our mate.” There was that blush again on his soulmate's cheeks.

“It’s perfect.”

“Yes, you are. How did you sleep, Precious?” Gideon asked when they stepped into the kitchen. Fabian walked Harry over to the table, and Gideon pulled his chair out.

“I slept well. This smells delicious. Thank you so much, Gideon. I heard from Fabian that you were an amazing chef. I like to cook. Maybe we can cook together sometime.” His brother smiled bigger than ever. This man is perfection. Of course, he would be.

“I’d cook with you anytime!”

“Yes, he tries to get me to help, but I burn toast. My job is to clean up. I do all the business side of things for our pub. The books and inventory would be a mess without me.” Fabian gloated, and Harry smiled at him.

“It would be a mess. I hate being on the phone all day and looking at numbers. I’m not sure how you do it!”

There was a choking sound beside him. Fabian's head snapped over at Harry, who was slapping his chest.

Harry

Harry took a deep breath. Gideon said telephone. Wizards didn’t use telephones. No, he couldn’t have traveled to a place where there wasn’t magic. What does that mean? Is Voldemort gone? Was there not a war? He felt a cold glass at his lips.

“Drink Precious.” Harry opened his lips and let the cold water pool in his mouth before he swallowed. There were muggles! A sense of peace washed over him. That means that there wouldn’t be death eaters and curses. He could keep them much safer. Harry wondered if his magic would still work. It didn’t matter if it did or not. He had his soulmates, and that is all that mattered!

“Sorry,” Harry croaked. “Must have gone down the wrong pipe. This is wonderful Gideon! Thank you so much for taking the time to make me dinner. I would have been okay with a sandwich.” Harry hadn’t eaten many home cook meals recently. He didn’t see the need to cook or have Kreacher cook for just him.

“I’m glad you like it, Harry. What do you do for a living, Precious?” Gideon, whose eyes had a little more gold than Fabian’s. He is sure that he will notice more when he gets to know them more. He was one of the few people that could tell Fred and George apart. Oh, gods, they were Fred and George’s uncles! Fred and George would be children right now! Harry felt a touch on his hand and looked over at Gideon, who was smiling sweetly down at him.

“What was the question? I’m sorry.” Gideon squeezed his hand.

“No worries Precious. I asked, what do you do for a living?” Harry bit his bottom lip. He couldn’t tell them what he did. Muggles didn’t need wand builders.

“A carpenter!” Harry rushed out. A carpenter would be like a wand builder. He worked with wood.

“A carpenter! That is fantastic! I bet what you make is beautiful and strong.”  Fabian squeezed his other hand. “Harry, with your accent, I’m assuming you are not from around here. You don’t attend Hogwarts. We would have seen you by now, I think.”

Harry took another bite of his dinner, which gave him a few extra moments to tell his soulmates that he was practically homeless and lived in a hotel because he left everything behind for them.

“I… Well, I’m actually from South London. I’m currently staying at the hotel here.” Harry looked down at his plate. It’s not like his soulmates would kick him out for being homeless. “I don’t really have a home anymore. When I set out to find both of you, I left everything.”

“Oh, Precious.” “Oh, Beautiful.” Both of his soulmates whispered.

“No, don't do that. I don’t want pity. I decided to come to find you. I have a room until I figure out what the next steps are. I am just happy that I have you now.” Harry didn’t meet their eyes. He pushed his dinner around the plate with his fork.

“Harry, you have a place here.”

“Gid is right Harry. We just found you. I don’t think I can let you go so soon. The bond will affect us all. Please, just stay here.” Fabian pleaded. Harry looked up to see those hazel eyes.

“I would love to stay. Thank you.” He was gifted with two big smiles.

After dinner, his soulmates ushered him to the shower telling him he needed to relax and wash the day off. Harry wanted to help clean up, but they were not having it.

When his shower was finished, Harry walked out in green tartan pajama pants with a blue jumper. Both were huge on him, but he didn’t care. Harry knew he was wearing something from each of his soulmates.

“Look at him, Ian. Have you seen anything so precious?” Gideon nudged his brother.

“No, I haven’t, and beautiful as well.” Fabian placed a tray that had tea and biscuits on the coffee table.

“What lucky bastards we are!” They both said at the same time with the same smirk.

Harry laughed and shook his head as he walked over to his soulmates.

“I think it is me who is the lucky bastard. Thank you. I needed that shower.” Harry was pulled down in between both of them on the couch.

“You look better.” Fabian brushed his fringe out of his face.

Gideon grabbed his left with both of his. “Harry, y.. You are not sick, right? Or running from someone? You are not in trouble, right?”

Harry saw the emotions in Gideon's eyes and it broke his heart. Then he felt Fabian grab his other hand.

“If you are sick or in trouble, you can tell us we can help. Our brother-in-law works in the government. I’m sure he will…” Harry leaned and pressed a kiss to Fabian's freckled cheek. He felt the stubble on his lips and his magic singed. With that sweet kiss, Fabian stopped talking.

Then Harry leaned the other way and pressed a kiss on Gideon’s cheek. His magic practically purred under his skin.

“I’m neither sick nor running from anyone. I have just been looking for you for so long that I wasn’t taking care of myself.”

Fabian squeezed his hand. “I’m glad that you don’t have to worry about that anymore. We are here to help take care of you, beautiful.”

“Let us have some tea before bed. I’m assuming, my dear brother has the day planned for us already. Ian is our planner. The only thing I have planned is cooking dinner with you.” Gideon poured them tea. It was strange to see everything done without magic. He has been in the magical world for over 15 years. Life will be different now and he is looking forward to it. He wasn’t alone.

“Sounds perfect.”

James

James sat in his bed with a book open. He wanted to read up on the case they were studying in class. Though he couldn’t focus. He felt the bed dip, and he looked over to see Reggie climb in. There was a look of concern on his face.

“What's wrong? You have been kinda off all night. Is it class? You are going to be a great solicitor. You are the smartest man I know.” James smiled and kissed his soulmate gently on the lips.

“I love you, Reggie. I wasn’t thinking about the case. I was thinking about Fabian and Gideon’s soulmate. He looked so familiar. It was like I knew him. I know that is strange because I have never met him in my life. He also looks like he could be my twin except for those green eyes that look scarily like my mother's.”

Regulus leaned his head on James’s shoulder. “Maybe you are related. I know my family is huge. I couldn’t tell you how many cousins and uncles and grandparents. He is Fabian and Gideon’s soulmate, which means he isn’t going anywhere.”

James interlaced their fingers as he kissed his soulmate's hair.

“I know you miss them, Jamie. You are not alone, though. You have me, Siri, and Remy. Gideon, Fabian, and their new soulmate. If he is a long-lost cousin or something, you are not alone! You will graduate this year, become a successful solicitor, and I can be your crazy artist soulmate. We will live happily ever after.”

Regulus looked up at him with those beautiful blue eyes. “Now finish up with this case. I’m going to shower.” His soulmate kissed him deeply before he climbed out of bed. James laughed and shook his head. He wasn’t alone.

This is not edited but here is a plot bunny….. please let me know what you think….

James Fleamont Potter was born a beta, to an older couple of their pack who wanted children for so long. His father is a chemist who came from a wealthy family. His mother is a housewife. James came from a loving family, yes they were demanding when it came to him growing up and becoming a solicitor, he would do anything for his family. They were the most important besides Sirius.

His best mate, and omega. His parents knew how important the omega was to him, and they loved having another child around.  They hated how Sirius' family treated him and how broken the teenager was when he came over that night.

James and Sirius were outside as usual, he was playing futbol as Siri worked on his motorcycle. He loved how his omega looked on his knees working on whatever part he needed. James would never push his omega, he knew what happened with those arsehole alphas. Still doesn’t mean he couldn’t enjoy looking at his omega,

The beta’s eyes wandered over to Lupin's backyard and there was the alpha son reading underneath a tree. James would admit that he had a thing for the alpha, not that he would ever leave Siri. No, that wasn’t an option. It was normal for an Alpha Beta Omega relationship in their pack. He wanted to have that person protecting him, it was nice to be Sirius’ protector but he wanted that too.

He knows that Siri wouldn’t have an alpha, at least not yet. James understood why but maybe one day if he could get enough courage to talk to his omega about it.

“You are looking at him again.” Sirius' voice makes him jump, the smaller teenager laughs. “You know I should feel jealous that you look at him like that… but you look that way at me too. Y.. You know if you wanted to date him, you could… I wouldn’t care. I know that he can give you what I can’t. I know you have fantasized of an alpha protecting you, taking you. He is a good looking alpha, so tall and his eyes are so green. I don’t want to hold you back, I see him looking over here at you.” James’ couldn’t smell as well as an alpha but he could smell the nervousness off his omega.

“No, I wouldn’t do anything without you Siri. I love you, and I told you that I would never leave you.” He pulls the smaller teenager into his arms pressing a sweet kiss on his lips. “My silly omega. You are all I will ever need, but you find him attractive?” He saw a blush on Sirius' cheeks which gave him hope.

“Of course he is attractive, you can tell he is all alpha, even though he is lean you can tell that there are muscles. Plus he reads when is the last time you saw an alpha read. I bet he is smart, and he is mysterious.” The omega shrugs his shoulders trying to make what he said not that important. James could tell that his omega liked the alpha more than he was letting on.

“Hmm mysterious eh? Well are you about finished I need a shower and I don’t want to have you outside by yourself.” Sirius pulls away and moves back over to his tool box and puts his tools away.

“Yeah I promise your mum I would help with dinner. I do wish you wouldn’t shower.” Sirius said as he felt James put his arms around him. The beta nuzzled into his omega’s neck smirking, Sirius had a thing for scents. Well for his scent.

“Oh my poor Omega. I know you hate when I shower, you love when your beta is sweaty. Don’t worry. I left you a shirt on the bed that you can sleep in tonight. I know how much you love to be surrounded by my scent.”  Sirius pouted and pulled away.

“You know what, since you are making fun, I’m going to sleep in my own room tonight. Without your shirt.” The omega picks up his tool box and swishes his hips as he storms off. James groans, he shouldn’t have teased. He has known him since they were 11.

Sirius pouted and ignored him for the rest of the night, he knows that the omega is hormonal because his heat is coming soon. Which they never shared, not yet. They were both too young, but he did make sure that his scent was all over the omega’s room.

His mind wanders as he thinks about Remus and if they both shared Sirius’ heat. It wasn’t the sexual act of it that James loved. No it was knowing that the person he loved and himself were protected and loved. The love of an alpha was something that would never break. He knows that Sirius and himself deserved it.

Yes his parents didn’t have a beta and neither did Remus’ or Sirius because they were a part of the generation that there should only be an alpha and omega or beta and beta. When his great grandparents were alive they had an alpha, beta and omega relationship. The packs were bigger and closer back then.

James heard his door open,he wouldn’t dare smile because he knew that his omega wouldn’t sleep by himself. Sirius didn’t say a word as he climbed into bed with him. His back was to James’ front; he blindly grabs his arm and wraps it around him.

“Don’t say anything you mean beta. Just hold me and be quiet.” Sirius said cuddling back into him. James just laughed and kissed him right under his ear.

“I’m glad you are here, my omega. I couldn’t sleep without you. I love you Siri.” The beta whispered.

“I love you too Jamie.”
