Chapter 1
Mike leaned on the wooden fence that separated the beach and the pavement. Looking out over the beach, whose sand was sticking to his body. Wind flowing through his now very curly, salty hair as the golden shades of sunset melted into his skin.
“We should do this more often, Nev.” He said, an exited tone laced his voice.
Neville, however, heard nothing. He looked at Mike, at all of him. His glowing skin, the tattoos on his back, the smile on his face. Everything. He was nervous. He knew Mike would accept, but a part of him was frightened. What if he wouldn’t accept?
“Nev? You okay?” Mike asked, followed by a slight chuckle. “Nev?” Mike turned to look at him. When he did, tears formed in his eyes. “Oh my god!” He yelled.
Neville was on one knee, a little box in his hands, and a nervous smile on his face. “Will you… Mike. Will you marry me?”
Mike had tears streaming down his face when he almost cut the other off with his answer. “Yes!!! Of course, always!!” He cried as he sunk down and hugged the other.
After Neville put the ring on Mikes finger, they shared a kiss, which was somehow more passionate than all of the ones they shared before.
“I love you, Nev.”
“I love you too Mike.”
