####August 1st, 1997, Hogwarts castle, Scotland Highlands #### Harry Potter had come back to Hogwarts for this day, if something were to go wrong, by special invitation of Headmistress McGonagall. His creations had a habit of coming to life, for one reason or another. He had just finished his newest creation, a metallic archway of sorts, with symbols etched on a rotating ring, based of a telly show that had premiered a few days prior, when the ring containing the symbols started rotating unexpectedly, one symbol lighting up after another, in a manner as one might dial an older rotary phone. Soon, a massive FHOOM and a horizontal column of blue energy eurpted from the gateway, quickly retreating into the gate and settling down into a blue shimmering not unlike the surface of a disturbed pool. Not long after an odd robot came out of the gateway, but not being protected from the magics in the air, quickly shorted out. Harry Potter and his fiance, Hermione Granger, was waiting nearby, in case someone decided to come through after the robot, and soon enough, one did.
####August 1st, 1997, Stargate Command ####
Samantha Carter, who preferred to be called Sam, was in the ops center of Stargate Command, with only a few techs on shift, as it was the night shift, when the Gate suddenly began it's dialling sequence, without input from the techs. "Unauthorized gateway activation!" One of the techs yelled out. Soon enough, the gate had finished it's dialling sequence, and eurpted in it's usual fashion. After nothing came through, Samantha order a MALP (Mobile Analytic Laboratory Probe) sent through to analyze the other side of the gate. As it was sent through, the tracking program gave an... decidedly odd location: the Scottish Highlands, though, it could not provide an exact location beyond that. Not long after it went through, the MALP was fried as if by an EMP. Sam made a snap decision to investigate the other side herself, against regulations and the objections of the techs. She stepped through the gate, expecting anything but what she saw.......
