Remus, being the over achiever he is, learnt Latin in his spare time to read as many of the books in the library as possible. All of the Marauders teased him for this as it was such a Remus thing to do. Remus tolerated the teasing from Sirius because he knew that Sirius had to learn Latin as a child at home. Sirius would sometimes help Remus out with a translation in one of his books and Remus would come back to the dorm and see a post-it note with the correct translation on. Remus would just smile and not out Sirius' secret to the other Marauders because that's what true friends do. Keep each other's secrets.
