Chapter 1

I remembered nothing.

Nothing of what happened before that day. Not a single memory.

The only thing that was slightly holding my sense of identity together was the sheet of paper folded in my left coat pocket.

'Your name is Liam' messy cursive handwriting scratched the paper. The note shared no more information. Just my name. Nothing about my age, nothing about my past. Only my name.

' My instructions for you are: locate the train station in London.'

The handwriting progressively started to get worse. The letters jumbled together, occasionally being skipped over entirely.

'Go there next Saturday, no later than 11 o'clock (the train leaves then)

DON'T LET THEM FIND YOU

Love,'

I squinted at the blotch of ink. Vinos? Gewis? The word was completely smeared. If I looked closely at the pocket this note was found in, you could see ink staining the fabric

I found my way to a metal bench. The bench was a perfect place to stare off into space and think. Think of a plan, perhaps. What was I going to do? It's not like I had anywhere to stay.

Just before I could come up with something, a loud BOOM pierced through my skull. The abrupt sound left my ears ringing, resulting in lightheadedness. I steadied myself, even though I was on a bench, and searched for the source of the noise.

After turning my head a bit, I could spy a tiny purple bus. Hm, odd, I thought. I began to relax one more; when the bus started to enlarge. In a blink of an eye, it was twice it's previous size. Then all of a sudden, with a bright flash, the bus stood before me.

With my mouth agape, I stared at the ominous double decker bus.

"Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for the witch or wizard. Just stick out your wand hand, step on board, and we can take you anywhere you want to go-" the voice stopped, "'Choo alright?"

It took me a moment to gather myself. "Er." I paused. What should I say? Oh, yeah. I'm perfectly fine. Just got every single one of my memories wiped. What a lovely day.

The person waved his hand saying, "Don' worry 'bout it. I'm Stan Shunpike. I'll be your conductor this evening."

I looked Stan up and down. Should I trust him?

"Woss your name?" Stan said quickly, only to correct himself seconds later. "'Choo don't even 'ave to say. A Weasley, righ'?"

What is this guy talking about? I looked up into the corner of my eye. Do I know any Weasleys? Ha, even if I did, I wouldnt know cause someone gave me the miracle of not being able to remember shit.

"Red 'air, right?"

I had completely forgot what we were talking about, "What?" I asked.

"'Choo all 'ave red hair."

My hands immediately shot up to my head. I pulled down a strand near the front of my scalp and sure enough, it was fiery red.

I glanced up at Stan, "Right." I said.

Stan nodded. He opened the door to the Knight Bus and made a gesture to it. "Me and your broffer, Bill, go way back. Must've been nice to visit 'im in Egypt. It'd be my pleasure to take 'choo to the Burrow. Free o' charge."

I opened my mouth, then closed it. Hey, at least I would have a roof over my head for a while. Even if it was just on the bus. I began to climb up the stairs.

"This is Ern Prang. An' this is..." Stan stopped mid sentence and looked at me.

"Liam."

Stan continued, "This is Liam. He's one of 'em Weasleys. He's lookin' for a trip to the Burrow." Stan looked back to me, "Y'know what? I don' remember any of the younger Weasley kids needin' glasses-"

"Yeah- uh- I got them quite recently." I interrupted Stan, "For the...new school year." Half the words coming out of my mouth were gibberish to me.

Stan narrowed his eyes, then nodded slowly. He began walking towards one of the many unoccupied beds, "'Ere is your's." he pointed to it.

I strode towards the bed and laid down.

"'ot chocolate is in the back."

I made an aknowledgment to his statement and closed my eyes. These covers were more comfortable than I had thought. My body started to melt into the bed. Must've been a tiring day for me. Oh wait, I can't even remember why.

"Ern! Take 'er away." Stan's voice erupted throughout the bus.

Just as those words were uttered from his mouth, my spine was thrown to the back of my bed. That was going to leave a mark.

***

The bus came to an abrupt halt, slamming my spine into the bed once again.

With a groan, I sat up.

"We're 'ere." A voice echoed.

My mind was still groggy, where was 'here' exactl-

Oh shit.

I put my feet onto the floor of the bus and inched my way to the door. This isn't going to go well. I'm going to die. I don't even know who these people are.

"'Urry up." Stan said.

I grasped onto the handrail and made my way, painfully slow, outside of the bus.

I was now on the ground of a property that wasn't mine, without any weapons, and no clue who I was.

"Ey! You forgot your wand!" Stan hollered as the bus began to take off. I began to turn to say, 'What's a wand??' But before I could even utter those words, a stick was thrown right at the back of my head.

"Mum! See mum, I knew there was someone- oh god."

I fell to my knees, vision wobbly.

"H-hiyA-" I muttered.

And my vision went dark, with a great ringing in my ears.
