Summary
My first fanfic. It’s just a thought I had.

Harriet Potter seemed distracted since they left the Express. She wasn’t looking where she was going and constantly bumped into people on the way to Gryffindor Tower. Her mind was solely on the dementors. No matter what she did, here mind went back to the dementors. She kept on thinking about that woman’s scream. She kept on thinking about why she had fainted and no one else did. Harriet bade her best friends, Ron Weasley and Hermes Granger, good night before walking up the stairs to the third year girls dorms.

Later that night, Harriet wasn’t able to fall asleep. Her thoughts kept straying back to the dementors. She turned on her side and realized that what she needed was comfort. She realized that there was only one person that could provide her that.

Harriet threw on her invisibility cloak and crept down the stairs. She rushed to the boys dorms. She slowly opened the door and quickly shut it. She walked closer to Hermes’ bed, careful not to make a sound. She climbed into his bed before securing the Cloak around her. She felt Hermes’ arm wrap around her in his sleep. She rested her head in his chest and closed her eyes.

The next day

Hermes awoke to a weight on his chest. Slowly, he lowered his palm onto his chest. He felt the silky texture of the invisibility cloak. Confused, he slowly lifted the invisibility cloak off what was on his chest and found the messy black hair of his best friend. He thought she looked adorable when she was asleep, so he let her be and just lay there stroking her hair, waiting for her to wake by herself. He realized how light and skinny his closest friend was. He held her closer to himself when he saw scars on her shoulder.

Harriet woke to her best friend holding her to his chest. She remembered what she did last night. She realized that she was in Hermes’ bed. She looked around and saw Hermes looking at her whilst stroking her hair.

“I’m sor-,” Harriet began before being interrupted by Hermes.
“You have nothing to be sorry about,” Hermes said before kissing her forehead.
