Carmen's POV

Hello I am Carmen Rosales Delgado and until today I would have never guessed that I would be a witch or that I would go to a school for magic, you see I am a shadow hunter at the Mexico Institute and I just turned eleven when I got a letter saying- well I will let the writer tell you but for now I am off I hope you will like this Story and I hope you will listen to this, this means so much to all of us and I hope you find it in your heart not to think unkindly of us.

Carmen woke up to the sound of someone knocking on the door. She let out a small huff and turned over in her covers not like being woken up at all for any reason, she could still hear the door open and light from the witchlight shine in her eyes. Carmen let out a small whimper and burrow herself into her soft gray blanket.

“Carmen, Mi Pequeña Rosa it is time to get up there is something here for you,” said her father softly

She could feel her father come closer and shake her gently, letting out a sigh as she popped her head up from her blanket and looked at her father who was smiling gently at her.

“Okay I am awake Papa” she said softly

“Good Mi Pequeña Rosa, I will see you downstairs in a minute” he replied

Carmen nodded her head with a nod and smiles kindly before getting up as her father walked out he placed a soft kiss on her head and left so she could get ready for the day, she went to her closet to look for something, ‘hmm maybe i should wear a dress today’ she thought and smiled to herself picking out a lavender color dress and matching heels to go with it and placed them on her bed neatly and went to her vanity.

Carmen hummed a soft tune and started singing a song stuck in her head.

You fascinated me
Cloaked in shadows and secrecy

Tomas, who had heard his sister's soft voice and leaned against the wall smiling softly at her, he loved it when she sings she always had a way to make things better on the worst days.

Carmen started to brush her hair from the bottom to the top.

Carmen stopped singing and turned around and let out a small gasp.

“Tomas!” she said in shocked

“That was so beautiful little rose,” he said

Carmen smiled and blushed softly at the compliment.

“Mother wants you down you need to hurry,” said Tomas

Carmen nodded and went to close the door as her brother left and got her dress and heels on she smiles looking in the mirror and smiles happily her look, Carmen went to her collection of flower crowns that Kaeli made for her and picked out a purple flower crown and placed it on her head and walked downstairs

When she walked downstairs she saw an old lady in emerald green robes and the same color pointing hat and a family, a boy her age with crazy hair and honey hazel eyes, a beautiful lady, and a man that looks like the older version of the boy.

“Carmen this is Professor Minerva Mcgonnagal, Euphemia, Fleamont, and their son James Potter,” said her mother

“Hi I’m James,” James said

Carmen being shy rushed and hid behind Tomas who chuckled softly “ Forgive My sister she can be Shy I am Tomas” he said softly smiling

“Mum? Why are they here?” she asked softly looking at her mother Alina

“They are here to tell you something,” said Alina

Carmen walked over to her mother away from her brother and sat down she looked at them and the lady Euphemia gave her a soft smile “You look beautiful my dear” she said

“Thank you ma’am” she replied

“Oh please call me Effie” Effie said said “You can call him Monty”

Carmen couldn’t help but smile and look back at James who just stood there awkwardly, she let out a sigh and tap the couch for him to sit, James smiles brightly at her and sat down right next to her.

“Alina why don’t you explain first and then I will,” said, Minerva

“You see my Rose, our family has a secret that has been unknown to the enclave for centuries, a long time ago one of our ancestors Maria could not bear children, she tried and tried but to no use, one day they found a baby girl with many suitcases on their doorstep not knowing the parents and after weeks of looking they adopted the baby girl and named her Aurelia, but she started showing signs of magic and a very different kind as well from Warlock's, fear of what would happen if someone found out they hid it and raised her as a shadowhunter and let her ascend which is how our bloodline was created” explained Alina

Carmen was quiet for a minute and smiled at her mother “So you mean is that I can do magic?”

Alina and the others laugh and nodded

“Can Tomas?” she asked

“Sadly I can not,” said Tomas “But whatever happens I will be happy just to see the world you will be in “

Euphemia and Fleamont smiled, Tomas was so accepting of his little sister, and Carmen could feel a sense of fear of her brother not being with her.

“So Carmen now that you know about magic I am here to tell you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry” said Minerva “and the Potters will be taking you with them to London until your parents and brother can sort through some things for your other lessons”

Carmen felt scared and James picked up on it and hugged her “It will be okay Carmen, We can get to know each other and I can teach you all about my world!” James said excitingly

Carmen smiles and looks at her mum and dad “Can I tell Kaelie?” she asked

Alina and Cassian looked at each other and nodded

“Wanna go meet my friend?” she asked James who nodded with a smile “Follow me”

James and Carmen ran outside as the adults went to talk about all the things Carmen will need for the following school year and other extra things she could get.

Carmen and James laugh and giggle all the way to the spot where Carmen goes to meet Kaelie.

“Carmen? Who is this” asked Kaelie who was already there

“Hullo I am James, James Fleamont Potter and it is a pleasure to meet you,” James said Politely

Kaelie was shocked she has never met anyone who was polite to her in a kind way and not out of fear before.

James smiled at her and held out a hand, Kaelie could not help and smiled and took his hand.

“I am Kaelie and it is a pleasure to meet you as well” she replied

“Kaelie guess what I get to go to a school for magic,” Carmen said

“Will I get to see you?” Kaelie asked playing with the flowers

“You will during summer break and Christmas, Oh! And spring” explained James

“What school are you going to?” she asked

“Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry” said Carmen

Kaelie smiled and congratulated her and the three of them played until she had to go back.
