"Don't answer that. I can't belive you don't see it. Those auburn short locks, shining in the sunlight, as if it was only made for him, for exactly this moment. His hazelnut brown eyes that are so beautiful, I can't even put it in words. And his hands, OH his hands!!! They are so beautiful while holding his book, I wanna kiss every inch of it. Do you see how he looks at this book? What I would do for him to look at me this way! "

" And OH, those freckles on his nose and cheeks, I wanna count them and mesmerize them until I know every one of them"
" Dude just go over there and do it, he won't mind -"
"I wanna hug him in this exact moment and feel his arms holding me. I wanna inhale his scent because OH GOD he smells so good I wanna snuggle myself in his chest and never let go again"
" Pads, I'm serious -"
"No, you know damn well that I am Sirius"
"Shut up for a minute, would you? Jeez, you're so head over heels for moony, I don't understand how he hasn't noticed already. But then again, he's as oblivious as you are when it comes to both of you."
"What're you trying to say there, Prongs?"
"Well you obviously like him and he obviously likes you too"
"Oh no, you know he doesn't."
"Are you sure about that? Because I am pretty sure, that no other than our beloved fellow moony is gazing longily at you in this exact moment."
"What? No, you must be misunderstanding something. Surely he wouldn't-"
But while turning around to look at Remus again, he catches him looking at him shortly and then reflexively turning his gaze to his book again, a pink blush spreading on his cheeks.
While turning towards James again, a wide grin breaks out in his face and only keeps growing when James continues to talk.
"You two have been pining after each other for so long now, it's been painful to watch for both Peter and me. So get your ass up of this couch and go get your man."
And while doing this exact thing he hears James mumble under his breath: "Jeez, I thought I was the oblivious one"
He's not really thinking when he makes an halt in front of Remus, so he stands still when he gazes down to him. He didn't really think about what he should say and his first doubts were becoming to form.
But he wouldn't be Sirius Black if he'd let them be in his way of getting what he wanted. So without thinking, he looks down at Remus, folding into half internally under Remus' gaze, but still standing upright and sais with a strong voice (and definetly without a stumble, he's Sirius Black!):
"Uhm, hi! So I meant to ask you something for a long time, but I never catched the right time, so I wasn't able to, but I swear if I would have had find the right moment, I totally would've asked you this by now, because it's really not that important and I can totally do this, nothing to be afraid about, and James and I were just talking and he told me to just go for it, because what could happen, except making a total fool about myself and totally ruining our friendship which would result in ruining our whole friend group, so it's really nothing to be worried about and-"
" Sirius, what do you want?" Remus sighs and looks up at him with an unreadable expression.
" Right, yeah, uhm, so I wanted to ask you if you would want to, only if you'd want to of course, I'd never do anything that you wouldn't want to do, because you're my friend and I care about you a lot, and that really wasn't what I wanted to say. Jeez, this is harder than I thought it would be. So, uhm, would you like want to, uhm, go out with me? Like on a date? Like I said, only if you want to, because I'd like to do that, but if you don't see me that way, than that's totally fine, I understand that, really, I'm being honest! I could totally work with that too and-"
" Sirius, it's okay, I totally like you back and I totally would like to go on a date with you. "
" You... do? "
" Yes of course I do, dumbass. I like you a lot more than only as a friend and I'm very, very glad that you do too"
"Oh, thank god, I totally would've died if you wouldn't see me this way.
Wait. Did you just call me a dumbass? You know, maybe I will overthink the date thing again, I really can't date someone that calls me stupid, would be kind of inappropriate, wouldn't it? But then again, if you'd bring me breakfast to bed the whole next week, maybe I'd go back to your offer of going on a date with you."
"You forget that you were the one asking"
"No, no I remember it differently. Weren't you JUST begging me to go on a date with you? You know, I think-"
With the arguing of those two idiot in the background (don't tell them I called them that), Peter and James exchanged a handful sickles, because everyone knew about them before they did themselves.
And the others REALLY don't want to think about their relationship in the future, with the arguing already starting at their first day of dating.
It would be rough, but worth it in the end.
Because isn't love worth all of it?
