Jax’s POV
We had finished the skate rink (thank god) and me and Pomni were walking around toward home. Pomni was talking about how well I skated once I stopped falling on my ass like a dunce. Then the snow started. Pomni looked up and around. “It snowing…” she said a faint smile playing on her lips.
“Yeah I guess it is…” I said looking into her deep blue eyes. They were enchanting and I could get lost in them for hours. Then she started to tear up. “Whoa Pom… you good..?” I asked rubbing her back.
“Yes.. it’s just I miss home!” She said then started crying. Ohhh she’s homesick. I mean it was bound to happen.
“Hey Poms it’s alright! You’ll be back in Russia one day! What do you miss about it?” I asked.
“My papa… *sniff* and my house and my friends…” she said then cried harder.
“Well think about it, you’ve got me and Rags and Gangle and Zooble and Kinger and Hell even Gummigoo! I’m sure you’ll see your dad and your other friends soon!” I said with a cheery smile.
“I mean I guess but it will be a while… I’m being silly…” she said wiping her face.
“No you’re not. You’re homesick. You miss everything.. I get it!” I said.
“You do?” She asked sniffing and wiping her eyes. Gonna be honest she looked like a very tall 5 year old crying like that.
“Yeah! This one time in 5th grade my parents sent me to live with my grandparents in Texas. All my friends were here though and I missed them so much. Sure it was only for the summer but I missed everyone so much! But y’know what, I made lots of new friends and new memories and I’m still friends with some of those people to this day! It’s hard at the beginning but it gets better.” I said wiping a stray tear from her cheek.
“Promise..?” She asked.
“Promise.” I said and hugged her. “Now you wanna grab a bite to eat?” I asked.
She cheered up a bit. “Yeah! I ok with that.”
“Ok! McDonalds sound good?” I asked.
She gasped.
“Ok! Ok. No McDonalds!” I said raising my hands in surrender.
“YES! I haven’t had them since war started! They left country! I want it!” She said with stars in her eyes.
(Hiya! Author here. Guys I just had McDonalds and found out that since 2022 they ARNT in Russia and I was like BISH HUH?! So yeah, oh and Dr Pepper too. Yeah safe to say my bigback ain’t going to Russia any time soon. Now BACK TO THE STORY)
We got to the Restaurant and agreed to split a 10 pice chicken nugget, we each got our own fries and Dr Pepper then left for home. Once we got to my house the snow had stopped and the thunder started. And Pomni looked fucking terrified. “Hey uh.. Pomni do ya wanna sleep in my room tonight…?” I asked. And I’ve never seen someone nod so quickly. She changed into an old band T-shirt and shorts and passed out on my bed. Fuck she looked hot… NO JAX. YOU JUST STARTED DATING LIKE 3 FUCKING WEEKS AGO GIVE IT SOME DAMN TIME. I crawled into bed and fell asleep next to her.
(Sorry this one took me so long. Valentine’s Day and crap but hey GUESS WHOS SINGLE AGAIN!!!! Spoilers it’s me. Anyways happy late Valentine’s Day!🫶)
