Chapter 2
To all returning 8th year students
By decree of Minister Shaklebolt, all students between the ages of 18 to 19 must attend a specialized camp for witches and wizards, Camp Craft.
You are required to be in muggle clothing and be at platform 7 at Kings Cross by September 12th, 9:00am. Enclosed is a full and comprehensive list of necessary supplies.
The other letter:
- comfortable clothing for running and exercise (NO ROBES)
- lace up sneakers
- wand and 7th year potion supplies
- writing utensils (pen and notebook preferred, may use quill and parchment). If you are bringing a notebook bring a maximum of 4
- ruler, trigonometry kit (purchasable at Muggle Stationary.co), and telescope
- Backpack and expandable trunk
- one free reading book (novels, graphic novels, and picture books ONLY. Do not bring textbooks)
- water canister
- toiletries (2 towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, shampoo, soap)
- thick winter jacket and boots
- swimwear
There is no set uniform. Please do not bring formal or smart clothing (robes, white button ups, black uniform pants, dress shoes, heels, dresses intended for dance, etc). Please label all belongings.
There will be a shop operating during off-days. You can purchase anything you are missing from there.
Please note that students are not allowed to bring jewelry or expensive items. The camp and its staff will not be responsible if the student brings an item not on the list that is stolen, illegal and found, or lost.
Muggle Stationary.co is located in Knockturn ally, to the left of Borgin and Burkes. Inform the store owner that you are there on behalf of Hermitcraft.
The camp will be cold during the winter. Please pack the appropriate clothing. All potion supplies must be given to Ren at the start of the school and will be stored in a secure place in the potions classroom.
