Sirius black wandered into the gryffindor dormitories extremely bored he had just got back from serving detention with slughorn cleaning the potions classroom for hexing a group of slytherins because they were bullying his little brother, now sirius may act like he doesn't care about regulus but regulus was the best thing to happen to him other than his boyfriend and best friend.
Sirius quickly scanned the dormitories looking for a certain messy haired boy with glasses which also goes by the name James potter. Sirius black's best friend and most of the time source of entertainment. The two boys had been practically joined at the hip ever since they met on the train at the age of 11. When he didn’t see the boy but a certain werewolf sat in one of the chairs in the common room with a book in his hands reading.
‘’ hey moony’’
‘’ oh hey pads didn't realise you were back yet’’
‘’ yep have you seen prongs’’
‘’ yeah i have when i went to the library to study with lily he was there studying with someone i'm not sure who though’’ while remus said this he had a small sparkle in his eye always one for mischief.
Now if anyone had told you that Remus Lupin was not a fan of chaos and mischief then they were mistaken.Remus knew James was in the library with none other than Regulus black. Sirius black's little brother that Sirius warned was off limits to all his friends when Regulus first started hogwarts.
Sirius may walk around school acting like he didn’t care for Regulus but Remus could see under his boyfriend's mask. He saw all the curses Sirius threw at people who looked at his brother the wrong way, all the fights he got into just to protect Regulus no matter the consequence.
When Sirius entered the library he didn't see James immediately so he decided to walk around and he eventually found James on the floor behind a bookshelf with a boy he recognised but couldn't quite put a name to it yet as the boy's back was turned to face James it looked like they were kissing.
Sirius let out a small gasp of shock how dare his best friend not tell him he was dating someone. James and Regulus quickly turned their heads wondering who they had just been caught by. When James met the face of his best friend all the colour in his face drained.
Now James was a confident young boy who believed he could handle most things but one thing he could not handle was his best friend being mad at him.
‘’Hey siri’ regulus whispered quietly.
Now Regulus' face may not show it but he was scared of what his brother might think of him dating his best friend. That's one of the reasons they decided to keep their relationship a secret.
‘’ Don't hey siri me what's going on here’’
‘’ uhm were just studying’’
James said unable to meet Sirius' grey eyes as he thought they were full of disappointment as Sirius had warned him that Regulus was not to be dated by any of them. James couldn't
Help himself Regulus was just so beautiful, those glistening grey eyes the way the corner of his mouth quivered everytime he smiled. The way he tried to act all intimidating but was just a huge softie inside. God he loved him.
‘’ This definitely looks like studying doesn't it James you sat here kissing my little brother’’
Sirius whispered harshly and slightly angry.
That hurt james a little bit he hated how mad his best friend was at him but he can't control
Who he loves.
Sirius turned away and walked out. He needed to calm down. He didn't understand why he was so mad at James. He knew James would never hurt his brother. James was the most loving and caring person in the world. James was the one who saved them both and gave them a safe home, one away from those tortuous people who call themselves their parents.
As Sirius walked away Regulus turned to James and saw that he had tears in his eyes.
Regulus' heart broke at the sight he loved James but he hated the fact that he wore his heart on his sleeve. It was so easy for people to hurt him because of how trusting and caring he was towards everybody, even people he didn't know.
‘’Hey jamie it's okay’’
‘’ he's mad at me Reggie’’
‘’No no baby Sirius could never be mad at you i think he's just upset we didn't tell him’’
‘’ i'm sure he will understand cmon baby lets get you cleaned up and then we will go back to the dorm and fix this’’
Once Sirius got back to the dorm he had finally realised what he did. He upset James and he felt so bad. Sirius headed over to the sofa his boyfriend was lying on seeking comfort he knew his boyfriend would give him.
Once Remus realised Sirius was there he immediately put his book down and cuddled up to his boyfriend he could tell the boy was upset.
‘’ hey baby boy whats wrong’’
‘’I went to the library like you said looking for James and saw him kissing Reggie and I got mad i don't even know why moony’’
‘’ oh baby i'm sure James will understand and now that Regulus and James are dating you two will finally be related like you have always wanted to be’’
‘’Always my moony keeping the peace’’ sirius giggled
Remus smiled back at his boyfriend, glad that he was feeling better.
Sirius placed a kiss on his boyfriend's cheek and Remus turned a light shade of red.
Suddenly the common room door burst open and in the doorway stood two boys, who quickly made their way over to Remus and Sirius. James and Sirius both opened their mouths to speak.
‘’Im sor-’’
Both boys burst out laughing and soon Regulus and Remus end up joining in. They eventually calmed down as Sirius began to speak.
‘’ I'm sorry for getting mad at you James. I know you would never do anything to hurt Reggie, you literally saved us both from that house. I'm just scared to lose him. I'm scared to lose you Jamie you both mean the world to me moony too.’’
‘’Aww baby boy you would never lose me. I'm always gonna be here for you’’ Remus reassured his boyfriend.
‘’Same here siri you could never lose me i'm always here for you your my big brother. ‘’
‘’ aww pads you could never lose me i'm always gonna be here for you your my brother i love you not as much as Reggie but i still love you and no one can ever change that and i'm sorry we didn't tell you we were together i guess we were both just scared.’’
Both boys smiled at each other while Regulus' face was a deep shade of red from James' comment. Remus and Regulus were happy that their boyfriends had made up. The couples continued to cuddle together, James' head on Regulus' chest and Sirius laying on top of Remus playing exploding snap. Until Regulus had to go back to his dorm.
After regulus left the three boys headed to there dorm room and layed in bed and while James was drifting off to sleep he heard Sirius say.
‘’ I'm glad your dating my brother James i couldn't think off a better person for him’’
Both boys fell asleep with a smile on their faces.
