Chatting with Dumbledore

Harry awoke to sound of someone yelling: “Headmaster, I tell you it’s the Dark Lord controlling the body of Potter’s son! Destroy it now before it’s too late!”

“I’m sure you are mistaken,” replied a second voice that she turned to the sound and opened her eyes. “Ah! It appears he is awake now.”

Harry opened her eyes to gaze upon an elderly man dressed in colourful clothes. The abstract designs on his outfit appeared to be moving. His eyes appeared to be twinkling as he peered at her and she felt his mind gently brush against her’s. Harry counterattacked and looked deeply into his mind. . . . So this was Albus Dumbledore and the other person in the room was Severus Snape, the man she’d met and punished for his role in the death of her parents of this world. She saw Dumbledore’s plans to place her with her mother’s relatives. She wasn’t being gentle with him and he was able to feel her scanning him.

“So Tom, it appears Severus is correct,” mused Dumbledore. “You have taken over the body of young Harry Potter.”

(I’m not Tom Riddle) thought Harry as she projected her thoughts into his mind. At her biological age, speaking clearly was difficult. (Though he was in this body when I arrived. We fought and I won. But I had to destroy him in order to do so.)

“You’re projecting into my mind with a female voice,” observed Dumbledore. “How are you doing this? If you’re not Tom, who are you?”

(In my past life I was named Lyta Alexander. After my death, it seams I have traveled back in time to the 1300s? Though I must not be the only Time traveler. I remember seeing a man in a black leather jacket with a motorcycle?)

“That must have been Sirius Black,” replied Dumbledore.

“Black!” Sneered Severus.

“He loaned his motorized velocipede to Rubeus Hagrid so you could be brought to me,” explained Dumbledore. “So you are a ghost from the future? How were you sent back to the year of our Lord 1981?”

(I was fighting the Psi Cops in Psi Corps headquarters when the nuke hit) replied Harry. (I saw green and suddenly I was in this body.)

“I don’t understand most of what you just said,” replied Dumbledore. “But surely you see you can’t possess young Harry’s body forever. Give the child back control of his body.”

(I would do that if I could) replied Harry. (But after I destroyed Tom Riddle, who was lodged in this body’s forehead, I searched for the original inhabitant of this body and couldn’t find him. I am afraid that Harry Potter is dead.)

“Well I can’t just take your word for it,” countered Dumbledore. “Will you allow me to look into your mind and try to find Harry?”

(I could mentally ‘stand aside’ while you look for him.) agreed Harry. (But you won’t find him.)

“Very well,” said Dumbledore, drawing his wand and pointing it at her. ‘Legitimens!”

After several minutes of searching, the aged Wizard realized the truth.

“It appears the original Harry is truly dead,” admitted Dumbledore. “I was going to send you to Harry’s relatives. But perhaps that would be unwise . . . Your godfather, Sirius seems to have disappeared. . . . Your godmother has a son about the same age as Harry. Perhaps you should go live with the Longbottoms?”
