Sirius woke up hours before Remus, as per usual, rubbing his eyes and cursing his sleep schedule for waking him so early on his single day off this week before crawling out of his boyfriends arms to get ready. After lazily throwing on some jeans and one of Remus’ jumpers, he decided to do his makeup since he had the time for once.
He made his way to the bathroom before casting a silencing spell and turning on some music and grabbing the makeup bag that Remus got him from under the counter. He had no idea where Remus found this thing, he assumed Lily had some part in it, but it was one of his favorite items. It was matte black with gold leaves embroidered into it and Remus (or to be more accurate, Lily) had sewn Sirius’ initials into the bottom part of it.
He decided to keep his makeup light today, opting to just put some concealer under his eyes and a tinted chapstick that tasted of vanilla (Remus’ favorite) on his lips before moving to his favorite part, eyeliner. Sirius generally spent way to much time on his “messy” eyeliner, ensuring that it looked absolutely perfect every time he wore it. He started by putting a thick line on his lower lash and lightly rubbing on it before putting a thin line on his upper lashes, finishing with the tiniest bit of brown eyeshadow to smoke it out and putting on a light coat of mascara.
Just as he was finishing his eyes he heard the door open to reveal his beautiful, yet tired looking boyfriend who simply walked over to him without a word before pushing Sirius back and placing himself on the counter between the smaller boy and the mirror. Sirius chuckled as he opened his arms allowing Remus to collapse on his chest.
“What are you doing darling?” the still giggling boy asked, his giggles only intensifying as Remus let out a long exaggerated sight.
“You abandoned me all alone and I couldn’t sleep,” the other boy spoke with upmost sincerity.
“Well I’m sorry my love, I just wanted to look pretty for when you woke up.”
“Well that’s a terrible excuse because you always look pretty…” Remus drifted into thought before quickly moving his hand to point at something “Can I try some of that?” he spoke, finally starting to perk up. Sirius looked to where he was pointing before realizing Remus was pointing at his eyeliner pencil that laid open on the counter.
“Of course baby, but you have to let me do it so you don’t poke your eye out,” Sirius spoke, quite interested in the idea of his boyfriend in eyeliner.
“Fine by me, I’d be terrible at it anyways. Just make it look like yours.”
Sirius immediately got to work, concentrating much more on Remus’ eyes than he usually does his own. After he finally decided it was perfect, he took a step back to admire his work fully and his jaw dropped.
“Oh no, it looks stupid doesn’t it. I knew I wouldn’t be able to pull it off like you do,” Remus said trying to hide his face before Sirius immediately yanked his hands away.
“No, my love. I mean this in the most respectful way I can, you look annoyingly hot and at this moment I would pick you up and throw you onto the bed if you weren’t so much bigger than me,” Sirius said still in shock before finally getting over himself and kissing his boyfriend who immediately accepted. Just as Sirius was starting to deepen the kiss though, Remus found a new sense of confidence pushing Sirius off of him and looking him in the eyes.
“Well I could always carry you?” He spoke before grabbing his boyfriend, walking into the bedroom and throwing him onto their shared bed while their lips were still intertwined and Sirius’ hands began to pull through his hair.
The boys had never been so thankful for a silly eyeliner pencil and the absence of their roommates. After that Remus started to wear eyeliner a lot more often on their days off, and Sirius never once complained about his makeup being stolen.
