Minerva McGonagall was not amused when Fred and George Weasley decided to prank her at the beginning of the school year. She was the Deputy Headmistress, and she expected more respect from her students, especially from the troublemaking Weasley twins. She vowed to get her revenge on them, and she was not going to let them get away with their prank.
She spent months planning her revenge, waiting for the right moment to strike. Finally, she saw her opportunity during a school-wide assembly. The Weasley twins were sitting in the front row, laughing and joking with their friends, completely unaware of what was about to happen.
Minerva cleared her throat and stepped up to the podium. "I have an announcement to make," she said, her voice cold and steely. "It has come to my attention that some students have been engaging in inappropriate behavior, and I am here to put a stop to it."
The Weasley twins exchanged a confused look, but Minerva continued. "As punishment, I have decided to make an example of these two students in particular." She pointed at Fred and George, who looked like they were about to bolt from their seats.
Suddenly, a trapdoor opened beneath their feet, and they fell into a pit filled with feathers, glitter, and confetti. The entire school erupted into laughter as the Weasley twins struggled to free themselves from the sticky mess.
Minerva smirked, satisfied with her revenge. "I hope you boys learned your lesson," she said, as the twins emerged from the pit, covered in feathers and looking thoroughly humiliated.
But Minerva's satisfaction was short-lived. She soon received a summons to Albus Dumbledore's office. She knew she was in trouble, but she never imagined what was about to happen.
Albus Dumbledore was waiting for her when she arrived. His expression was stern, and his eyes were cold as he addressed her. "Minerva, what you did today was unacceptable," he said, his voice low and firm. "Your behavior was unbecoming of a member of the Hogwarts staff, and I cannot allow it to go unpunished."
Minerva's heart sank as Albus continued. "I have no choice but to relieve you of your duties as Deputy Headmistress, effective immediately."
Minerva felt tears stinging her eyes, but she refused to let them fall. "Albus, please," she said, her voice choked with emotion. "I was only trying to teach those boys a lesson. They deserved to be punished for what they did to me."
Albus shook his head. "I understand your frustration, Minerva, but your actions were unacceptable. I cannot allow such behavior to go unpunished, no matter how justified you may feel."
Minerva felt like her world was falling apart. She had devoted her entire life to Hogwarts, and now it was being taken away from her. "Please, Albus," she pleaded. "I beg you to reconsider. This is my life's work. I cannot bear to lose it."
But Albus remained firm. "I'm sorry, Minerva, but my decision is final."
Minerva left Albus's office feeling shattered. She had lost her job, her reputation, and her sense of purpose. She didn't know how she was going to go on.
