Telling his family
Christmas holidays came to an end. Fred, George, Percy and Charlie had all gone back to hogwarts Bill went back to work in Egypt and the house was extremely quiet.
Ron kept his secret of him being trans to himself. He wasn't sure how the rest of his family would take it and he was so nervous of them finding out.
Bill sent secret letters to him using his actual name and checking up on him which he greatly appreciated and made all of this feel a little more bearable.
February came around and everyone was asking what he wanted for his birthday. He created a small list mainly Chudley Cannon merchandise.
4 days before his birthday Bill showed up. He had got injured in Egypt and had to take sick leave and decided to come home for Ron's birthday during it.
Ron was ecstatic that his brother was home. Finally he didn't have to hide himself infront of every family member.
March 1st came round and Ron woke up early and super excited for his birthday! He was really hoping to get that poster he'd been talking about for weeks! He ran to Bill's room to wake him up. Bill got up after a bit of protesting on needing more sleep and gave Ron his present from him.
He held the little flat square package in his hand for a small moment before ripping of the paper.
"Boxers!" He gasped looking up at Bill with amazement glistening in his eyes
"Thought they might help you feel more like you," he replied smiling.
When everyone else woke up they all went downstairs so Ron could open his presents.
A dress from Mum. Dad had got him a chudley cannon jumper and poster that he really wanted. Ginny had got him Chudley Cannon notebook. Charlie and Bill got him a joint present of a book on all the players and the history of the Chudley Cannons.
He had a great birthday and loved all his presents except the dress. It was so pink and frilly and it was a freaking dress.
He avoided wearing it at all costs but Molly kept complaining at him that she spent a lot of money on it and he should be more greatful.
It was almost a year later in June. No one had found out he was trans but the clock was ticking. It was nearly August and he didn't want to go hogwarts as a girl he knew he needed to tell them soon but he didn't know how.
Then one morning him and Ginny were sat on the sofa talking and playing. Bill was home again and him and Arthur were eating breakfast together. when Molly walked in looking furious.
"What in heavens are these Rhonda Weasley," yelled Molly in a shrill voice.
He looked over and she was holding his boxers.
"I... I can... e-explain,"
"Oh silly me I must of got mixed up when I put the laundry away last night I was still quite tired from work," butted in Arthur.
Molly looked over at Arthur and then back in Ron.
Arthur gave Ron a confused look when she wasn't looking.
"No," he sighed," he didn't it isn't his fault. I'm transgender," he paused," like Fred and George's friend Lee Jordan,"
"I bought him the boxers," piped up Bill.
"And I want to be called Ronald," he whispered not daring to look up.
Molly stared at him horrified and then put her shoes on grabbed her coat off the hook and walked out the house.
"Where's Mummy gone," asked Ginny.
"I don't know Ginny she's probably just gone for a walk. Do you want to show me your dolls instead," said Bill trying to distract her.
"Yeah," she said enthusiastically and ran upstairs.
Ron looked up at his dad he still hadn't said anything.
"I'm sorry about your mum Ronald but I accept you and love you no matter what,"
"Thanks Dad,"
Then Ginny came hurtling down the stairs both her arms full with dolls. She dropped them all on the table.
"So this is Gary and he's married to Mary and these are their children...,"Ginny said thrusting the dolls into Bill's hand.
"We'll explain to her later," Arthur mouthed at Ron.
Molly didn't get home until later that night and refused to speak to anyone.
The next morning she was still in a bad mood from yesterday and she wouldn't even look at Ron let alone speak to him.
3 days later Ron, Ginny Arthur and Molly were all eating a roast dinner. Bill had to go back to Egypt.
"Ronnn pass me the Yorkshire puddings your hogging them again,"
Molly just snapped. She hadn't even acknowledged Ron's existence the last few days but today she snapped.
"Rhonda. Her name is Rhonda. SHE is your sister not your brother," she turned to look a Ron," You are my daughter you will never be me son you've always been my daughter and you always will be. Now stop this stupid nonsense I just want to enjoy my meal. Don't ruin it,"
Ron pushed his chair back and ran to the bathroom in tears. Why did his own mother hate him. Why couldn't he just be 'normal'. Why did he have to be such a 'freak'.
He looked into the mirror tears streaming down his face. Why did he have to have stupid long hair. He spotted some scissors on the side and without hesitating he grabbed them and just started cutting chunks of his hair. He kept cutting until he looked pretty decent.
He smiled at himself in the mirror finally he actually looked like a boy. Mum was going to kill him but he looked like Ron not Rhonda.
He opened the door quietly. Molly was washing up with her back towards him. He snuck past her and went to his room. He wrote letters to Fred, George, Percy and Charlie explaining that he was trans and everything that had happened with Mum. He sent them using the family owl and then went to find Ginny and Dad to show them his new haircut.
"Hey Ron. Whoaaa YOU LOOK SO COOL. I LOVE IT,"
"Thanks Ginny," Ron replied smiling
"That really suits you Ronald,"
Then a shout came from downstairs," Rhonda, Ginny come downstairs you need to degnome the garden,"
"She'll come around eventually," sighed Mr Weasley
Ron and Ginny went into the backgarden. They were only there for a few minutes when a shrill scream came from inside.
Molly flung open the door amd grabbed Ron's arm and dragged him inside.
"Ow mum let go ow your really hurting me please let go,"
She stopped abruptly in the kitchen and let go of Ron's arm nearly making him fall flat on his face.
"What the hell where you thinking. Where's your beautiful hair gone. How could you do this to me,"
Arthur then walked downstairs.
"He looks very nice doesn't he," said Arthur smiling proudly.
"No she doesn't. Stop encouraging her. This behaviour stops and it stops now. Do you hear me. I SAID DO YOU HEAR ME,"
Ron nodded trying to keep the tears out his eyes.
"Now go back outside and finish your chores. Your father and I need to have a little chat,"
He nodded again and walked outside eyes still watery.
"Why was Mummy mad?"
"It doesn't matter Ginny don't worry,"
"But she yelled and why are you crying. I'm going to make sure Mummy's okay,"
"Mum's fine and she's busy at the moment. Come on let's degnome the garden. Whoever can throw a gnome the furthest wins."
July came around quickly and a hogwarts letter arrived.
Molly was out food shopping so it was just Arthur, Ginny and Ron at home.

"DAD, DAD. LOOK I GOT MY HOGWARTS LETTER," Ron yelled excitedly.
He ran into the kitchen ripping open his letter and taking out the pieces of paper
He excitedly skimmed through his acceptance letter. He couldn't wait to go to hogwarts. He had heard so many cool experiences from his brothers.
Arthur looked through the equipment list. Luckily most of this could be hand me downs so it wouldn't be too expensive.
August came around and it was time to go pick up everyone from platform 9¾.
The train pulled into the station and Ginny and Ron were frantically looking for their brothers.
"Ha I found Fred and George first you owe me 2 sweets," exclaimed Ron.
Charlie and Percy got off the train next (Ginny spotted them first) and then the 4 came over to join the rest of their family.
Before anyone could speak Molly spoke "Rhonda dear would you hold my bag please,"
"Don't worry I will mother and his name is Ron so please use his correct name," said Percy striding forward.
Molly gave him a stern look but then smiled sweetly, "come on everyone let's go home,"
