Sirius
When nothing felt like home anymore, where was Sirius meant to go?
James and Lily were gone, their home burned to the ground.
Remus thought Sirius was the traitor, his home was locked against him.
Albus stole Sirius’ godson, the only reason he had to live.
Where was Sirius meant to go?
Sirius walked the streets at night, his eyes hollow and haunted, memories assaulting him.
“Good one, Padfoot!” James laughed, high-fiving Sirius in Transfiguration.
“I love you,” Remus whispered against Sirius’ lips, his breath smelling like chocolate.
“We want you to be godfather,” Lily said sweetly with her hands folded over the bump beneath her shirt.
All of Sirius’ homes were gone, taken from him, and he was alone.
So Sirius continued to walk, the baggage he carried in his mind heavy, in search of a home that was gone.
