Harry & Tony Stark
As was habit, Tony flicked the porch light on and made sure the spare key was hidden in the same place it always was.
Harry had a home, he had one with Tony, but Tony still spent his nights wondering when Harry would come home.
Tony knew Harry made a mistake, turned back to the drugs that consumed him for so long, but surely Harry knew that Tony would always keep a light on for him.
Bucky said he saw Harry every now and again, but Harry always ran off.
Tony refused to lose his son to drugs, he just wanted him home so badly.
The house that they shared since they found each other when Harry was nineteen always had a light on, always had Tony praying to a God he didn’t believe in that Harry would come home.
The doorknob turned, “Dad?”
Tony was on his feet in an instant and had his son in his arms, clutching him tightly.
“You’re safe,” he murmured over and over. “You’re safe.”
Tony would never turn the porch light off again and no matter how many times Harry slipped, Tony would always be there to catch him.
