 I wasn't a hero like Sirius. I'd given in. I'd been branded, drafted into the Dark Lord's service. Given by my family into a term of servitude that would likely end in my death.
 So no. I wasn't like my Gryffindor of a brother. But I was a Slytherin. And like a true Slytherin, I could be my own kind of hero.
 With that final thought, I signed the tiny note. R. A. B.The Lord would know what that meant. Know it was me.
 No, I wasn't like Sirius. But heroes were always painted in different colors. Sometimes, you had to let yourself get close to the enemy to truly take them down. My efforts would be just as important, if not more so, than Sirius's.
