He spared a last glance at the boy laying on the bed, beautiful black hair fanned out around his face. His eyes were closed, but Remus could easily picture the striking silver behind the lids. Sirius would be mad when he woke up.
But in the end, it was needed. They didn't have the protection offered by school anymore. It was bad enough to be gay to the outside world. Dating a gay werewolf? Remus would rather die than make Sirius endure that.
Maybe he was dead. It felt like his chest had been ripped apart, leaving his heart bleeding next to the gorgeous boy he loved so much. But it was better this way. The werewolf turned away and walked into the shadows. He could do this.
For Sirius.
