Harry sat crying in the astronomy tower. He couldn't take it anymore. All the pressure from being the chosen one, his friends who didn't understand why he feels so bad, all the loved ones who had died... It was just too much. He doesn't want to anymore. Not this way.
All he wants is someone who loves him. Someone who's there for him no matter what. Someone who understands him better than any of his friends ever will.
He just wants to be loved.
The next morning, Harry woke up in the astronomy tower. Completely numb from the coldness and eyes red from crying. He got up and went back to his dorm.
Ron and his other friends looked at him with concern when he entered but said nothing.
Harry got changed in silence.
He went to the Great Hall alone for breakfast.
Hermione and Ron entered the Great Hall a little later.
There was much tension between the three.
Harry had had a fight with them yesterday because Ron and Hermione thought Harry should stop being gloomy.
Harry got very angry with his friends' lack of understanding. He then ran to the astronomy tower.
Harry stared at his egg toast with a dull look.
"... Harry, you have to eat." Hermione said.
Harry said nothing. He just looked at her for a moment. After staring at his plate for a while, he got up and left the Great Hall.
"Harry..." Ron said but Harry just ignored him.
A tear ran down his cheek.
On the way to his dorm he happened to bump into Draco.
"Ah, Potter..." Draco began. He stopped talking when he saw Harry's look.
Harry waited for Draco's insulting comment or scolding. It couldn't get any worse. He didn't care anymore. Perhaps after Draco's remark, he'll finally feel something other than that dull, empty feeling in his heart.
Draco suddenly looked very concerned. "Are you alright?"
"No." Harry said. "But it's not like anyone cares so." Harry smiled but it was anything but happy and a few tears ran down Harry's cheeks.
Draco stared at Harry. Seeing Harry this sad broke his heart, since deep down he cared about him very much. He wrapped his arms around him, not caring about anyone seeing them or anything other than Harry.
Harry couldn't contain himself anymore. He started to cry. He didn't care about being vulnerable while Malfoy was around, he just couldn't take it anymore.
Everyone in the corridor looked at them strangely.
Draco gave them a dirty look, picked Harry up and walked to the Slytherin common room. He didn't care who saw him on the way to his common room or in the common room. All that matters was Harry.
He went into his dorm.
Nott looked at him confused when he came in.
"Leave!" Draco pointed sternly at the door.
Nott didn't hesitate and hurried out of the dorm.
Draco locked the door and used a silencing charm. He still had Harry in his arms who was still crying violently. He sat down on his bed, pulling Harry close to him trying to comfort him with everything he could.
Harry sobbed into Draco's shoulder.
"It's alright, it's going to be alright... I promise." Draco whispered.
