Tony/Steve
Tony glides across the grass and stops behind the person in front of the headstone.
“I need you, baby. Please, I'm so so sorry.”
Tony looks on as the person lets out a guttural sob and wonders why they even came.
Tony was dead to them long before his body was put into the ground. Tony was dead to them the minute they left him in that bunker in Siberia.
Tony was the villain in that story while Steve got to play the hero and now here they are. Tony dead and haunting his lost love and Steve cursing the sky for taking him away.
As if it was anyone’s fault but his own.
“Please, come back.” Steve cries out as he punches the ground.
Tony turns and leaves, refusing to watch Steve’s tears ricochet against his headstone at his death when there wasn’t a drop to be found as he rammed his shield into Tony’s chest.
