James Fleamont Potter
“It was brought to the attention of the Ministry the issue of the children of pureblood families that are currently in Nihil. The Potter House has raised the issue of the morality of the current situation. The Potter House may now take the stand.”
James Potter watched as his father, Fleamont Potter stood up and walked towards the middle of the room. Despite the charisma and the aura he brought into the room, he knew that his father was the most loving man in this entire universe. He knew that no amount of training or reading about the Ministry could ever amount to the brilliance of Fleamont Potter.
His father arrived behind the stand of the council as the Sacred Twenty Eight of the pureblood ancestry waited. The Sacred Twenty Eight; The Blacks, Abbott, Lestrange, Malfoy, Weasleys, and many more. He watched as all of the attention was towards his father. Although some of the seats are still vacant due to the banishment of the Death Eaters, however many of them were still there.
James turned his attention to the Black seat. His lips turned into a smile as his best friend smiled at him back. He was proud that Sirius took the Black seat. His mother, father and Sirius raised the issue of the children of Nihil after the banishment was agreed upon. Sirius did not take the Black seat yet because he was underaged however he still fought for Regulus.
Every day, he begged Euphemia and Fleamont to raise the case to the Council, to get Regulus out of Nihil. Fleamont and Euphemia started right away, even before Sirius took the Black seat of the Council. James still remembered the amount of times he had to comfort Sirius after the decree as he cried himself almost every night, saying it was his fault. That he should have gotten Regulus out of there. That he should have brought Regulus with him to the Potters when he ran away. They were all there to fight for Sirius, to fight for his little brother.
“I, Fleamont of the Potter House, raise the issue of the banishment of the children of the Death Eaters to Nihil. As you all know, the Death Eaters and their family were banished two years ago, including their children. I currently pose the question of the morality of this situation. Some of them might have been coerced, especially the influence of the people you were supposed to trust,” James looked towards his father as he saw him smile at him. James was always thankful for the parents he had. His mother spoiled him ever since he was a baby, and his father always made time for him. His father always told him, Our family is always the number one priority, James.
“With the permission of Sirius of the Noble House of Black, I am here to tell you the struggles that he has to bear to show you the circumstances that the children of Nihil might have had,” his father continued.
He still remembered the day that Sirius ran away to the Potter house. It was around midnight when he heard a knock. When he opened the door, he saw Sirius pale, like he was about to pass out outside of his house. He called his mother in a panic as he dragged Sirius to the couch. James has never been more scared of losing his best friend then. Euphemia scanned him with her wand, a simple spell for the healers of Wizarding World. The horror and disbelief that Sirius went through kept him awake at night. His mother told him after she put Sirius to bed that the Crucio curse made him that way. He never let Sirius out of his sight until then.
“It is for the greater good, Heir Potter,” One of the heirs spoke up.
“I disagree,” his father argued as he turned towards the heir. “I believe that we are sending those children through unbelievable hell.”
“What do you suggest we do? How do we know that we, the people who are currently safe and sound, stayed safe if we let them out of the barrier?” Heir Longbottom questioned.
“I suggest that children chosen by the Council will be let into the barrier and stay under Hogwart.” Fleamont suggested. “We will choose four of the children of Nihil to come to Hogwarts for now. If the four go well, we will continue, however if they do not, then we will end it.”
James was not sure how this was going to go. After the suggestion of his father, some of them disagreed, some of them had a lot of questions. Understandably, some of them were scared of the suggestion as many of the Sacred Eight had family and children, heirs to the Noble Houses.
“Settle down, please,” The Council had gone quiet. “We will settle this case through a majority vote of the Council.”
“Those who disagree at the notion that the children of the Death Eaters are under unlawful and should stay in Nihil, please raise your hands,” James saw the amount of hands raised at the notion however he did not want to lose hope.
“Those who agree that the children of the Death Eaters are under mistreatment and should be given a second chance in Hogwarts, please raise your hands,” He saw Heir Longbottom hesitantly raising his hand. He saw Heir Weasley raise his hand as well. Of course, Sirius raised his hand at the chance that he could pull his little brother back through the barrier.
“I hereby announce that the children of Death Eaters and those who bore the Dark Mark will be brought back to Hogwarts.”
James saw Sirius’ eyes tearing up at the annoucement in the Council.
“The Council may now choose four children of Nihil.” The announcer said.
“I would like to vote Regulus Black,” Sirius raised his hand with an urgency and spoke for the very first time in this meeting with a passion coursing through him. His eyes never shined brighter as he saw hope in his eyes. To save Regulus once again. To get his brother back.
