Back to Hogwarts

He walked with the professor, practically jumping to keep up with the older man's large strides. He didn't mind though, his mind occupied by the moving pictures and changing stairways. Half focused on memorizing the route and memorizing other details to write in his journal, it didn't occur to him to also pay attention to other people, and he nearly walked right into the short professor, Professor Flitwick. He whipped his head around, trying to step around him while also avoiding stepping on Professor Snape's shoes, and ending up nearly falling against the wall, turning midway to catch himself and to also apologize to the diminutive man, "I'm sorry sir I wan't paying attention," spilling out of his mouth as he propped himself against the wall. Blinking as he tried to process what had happened, he was suddenly aware of Professor Flitwick waving his wands in front of his face, while Snape melted into the shadows to wait for him. "-ou alright young man?" the question filtered slowly through his head, and he nodded, bracing his forearm against the wall and pulling himself up. At Dauntless, it would have been a spectacle, to see a budding fighter getting tripped around like that. "I'm fine sir," he assured, shaking his head in a particular dog-like fashion he'd picked up from Hughe.

It happened in less than a second. Harry hadn't been paying attention, and before Severus could say anything, the boy had, with superhuman yet almost mechanical-like reflexes, stepped around his colleague, an apology spilling from his mouth even as he nearly bashed his head into the wall. The boy shook his head like a dog, looking vaguely like he hadn't even processed the entire thing, before shrugging off Filius's mother-henning and walking away.
