First Day of (Muggle) School
Harry woke up on 1 September to Chaos. Both Petunia and Vernon were rushing to get things ready for Dudley's first day of school, that day being Harry's first day too was pure coincidence. Still, they didn't want Dudley to have to say that a disheveled boy not in uniform was his cousin. So, they gave the least possible effort to make Harry presentable. They were so busy that they didn't bother Harry aside from that. Petunia didn't even force Harry to cook breakfast. That, coupled with the dream he had months prior, left Harry in a good mood at the ride to the school.
It couldn't have been 5 minutes in the school day when Harry found the subject of The Dream. Cautiously, he approached.
"Hi! What's your name? I'm Harry!" he said.
"Hi, Harry. My name's Hermione. Do you want to sit together?" she answered.
"Sure!" Harry replied.
After five more minutes, the teacher, Mrs. Foreman, told the ~30 children to settle down. Then, she began an activity to introduce everybody to each other. By the time that was over, Mrs. Foreman began teaching the children their first subject for the day, Mathematics. Throughout the day, Harry and Hermione became fast friends. At the end of the day, 3:45, both were sad to have to leave the other, but glad that they would see each other for five days of the year, for 10½ months.
