"Huh yunjin! Wake up" Her mom's word echoed throughout the whole house. She groaned and reached for her phone. 9:08 am "iam awake" she shouted back at her mom who was probably cooking breakfast
She reluctantly woke up and finished her morning routine before going down the stairs. Her mother handed her a piece of paper
"what's this?"
"Grocery list, bike over to the market square it's for tonight's dinner"
"Why can't eunchae do it?" She replied already walking outside knowing arguing with her mother wouldn't work
"Because it's her first day of vacation and.." her mother's voice faded as she started pedaling away.
It was a 10 minute ride to the market square. But it wasn't boring because she loved the sight of the countryside even though she had been here for almost 18 years she couldn't seem to grow tired of the beauty the countryside held.
"Yunjin!" A woman from the car passing by exclaimed.
"Huh?" she looked back to see whose voice it belonged to who but lost balance as she was about to crash into a electrical post, she swerved left to avoid the impact but fell into a ditch.
"Shit.."
"Yun, are you okay?"
That voice she could recognize it everywhere,so sweet and melodious.
As her eyes adjusted to the sunlight hitting her eyes she could take in the sight of kim chaewon,her neighbour who she had like a massive crush on, chaewon who grew even prettier than last year, chaewon who always managed to fluster yunjin, chaewon who had her hand extended for yunjin to take.
"Yep, iam like super great what about you?"
"Iam good" she chuckled at the sight of the tall awkward teenager.
Yunjin's heart skipped a beat as the face of chaewon lit up as she chuckled. Atleast she laughed because of me.
"Yunjin dear are you okay?" Chaewon's mom who had her sunglasses perched on her head came rushing towards yunjin checking for any injuries.
" yes iam fine, are you guys here for the summer vacations? " yunjin asked changing the topic of her wellbeing
"Yes your unnie here missed the countryside so much she insisted we come back for the summer although we suggested she should go alone since her father had to work,she was about to cry saying it should be a family vacation" her mother fussed
"Mom don't embarrass me in front of yun i need to maintain the cool unnie image right yun?"
"Yeah,but it is cool if you care about spending Quality time with your family unnie"
"it is indeed cool the fact thatyou care about spending quality,anyways where were you going dear?"
"To the market square for grocery shopping" yunjin said
"Can i come with?" Chaewon asked.
"That will be troublesome for yunjin"her mother intervened
"Oh it's alright miss kim" yunjin assured
"Are you sure?" Miss kim asked again
"Yep it's alright i would appreciate the company" yunjin reassured
"Don't trouble yunjin" miss kim said to chaewon
"Ofcourse now go" chaewon shoed her mom away
"Alirght iam going, be careful and look out for cars we'll meet later ok?"
"Alright ms kim"
"Bye mom" chaewon waved
"Well then hop on" yunjin said getting on the bike looking back at chaewon
The ride was silent, the comfortable one. Yunjin hoped the beating of her heart wasn't too loud as chaewon rested her head on yunjin's back and wrapped her hands around yunjin's waist after all she is a dumb teenager in love.

"How's life lately at the uni,unnie?" Yunjin asked on the ride home too curious to stay shut.
Chaewon's body stiffened "it's been good,the classes are going great my marks are great too" her voice was distant but yunjin didn't press on further.
"How's shiro?" Yunjin asked hoping to lighten the mood.
And it seemed to worked as chaewon rambled about new tricks he learned and their conversation flowed easily. Before they knew it they reached their houses.
"Unnie let me walk you to your house" yunjin said putting the stand of her bicycle down.
"Ok yun" chaewon replied taking yunjin's hand.
Oh shit. Yunjin internally panicked although they had held hands countless times that didn't change the fact Chaewon's touch managed to fluster yunjin everytime, even from the faintest touch.
"Do you not have a lover yet yunjin?" Chaewon asked
Keep calm yunjin. It's only a question don't blurt out the fact you can't seem to love anyone because no one compares to you
"Nope, no one's worth of Having a crush on here at least none that i know of"
"Are you perhaps an anti romantic yun?"
"I hope not"
"Oh right you want that 'the one' romance thingy, so cheesy"
"You say that like it's a bad thing, is it?"
"no, It's just that it amazes me you have that much faith in love" chaewon said sighing
"Why unnie,you don't believe in that sort of thing?"
They reached Chaewon's house
"The answer to that question is for another time"
"Alright unnie bye.." yunjin watched chaewon walk into her house and stood there for a little longer wondering the answer to that question

"We're having the kim's over for dinner tonight, come help prep" Yunjin's mom said
Yunjin obliged
It had been two days since they arrived. Yunjin didn't see much of chaewon since yunjin was helping out harvesting at their orchard.
"Stop stealing my snacks unnie!" eunchae exclaimed walking in the kitchen and sitting on one of the wooden stools
"I didn't even eat it!" Yunjin replied while chopping the vegetables
"Liar, who would eat my precious soya sauce salted chips and those were the last of them!" Eunchae complained
" i swear i didn't eat it"
"I think it was dad his hands were littered with salt flakes" her mother piped up
"Ughh i swear to god dad always eats my snacks even though he says he doesn't like them i wish he'd stop lying. Daddd..." eunchae stormed out to search for dad
"Was it really dad?" Yunjin asked her mother
"It was me, don't tell her though the chips were worth facing the wrath of eunchae"
"But you said dad ate it"
"Same thing" her mother said
Yunjin snickered at her mother's action and felt sympathy for her dad.
"So Chaewon's back in town when are you gonna ask her out?"
"Mommmm, come on you said you'd stop asking about it" yunjin flushed at the memory of being drunk and caught sneaking in by her mom to which she cried about her sad unrequited crush on chaewon, although she got a very bad hangover and two weeks of being grounded. She was glad her mother kept her secret safe.
"You gotta ask her someday, you're a very popular girl iam sure you'll get her and chaewon also has a lot of suitors from what I've heard better make a move,she isn't gonna be around forever"
"Oh come on mom i don't think she even sees me as a potential love interest"yunjin said to her mother whining
"Well you gotta try"
"Someday mom and i promise you'll be the first one to hear about it" yunjin replied hoping her mother would be content with her reply.
"Okay but better do it fast"

The bell rang and yunjin came down to greet the kims. Her breath was stuck in her throat. Chaewon was wearing a white flowy dress so simple yet so mesmerizing.
Chaewon waved at her as their parents exchanged greetings.
"You're salivating" eunchae said before joining her parents to greet the kims
"Wh-h-at..." yunjin replieda little too late flustered at the comment and from Chaewon's beauty.
They had finished dinner, chaewon and Yunjin were in her room,their parents were drinking wine downstairs conversating away and eunchae had gone to bed early.
Chaewon had sneakily taken a bottle of wine and they were talking while drinking. It didn't affect yunjin much. Being a heavyweight drinker had it's benefits because she could perfectly engrave this memory in her mind chaewon in her bed her knees folded to her chest and looking down at yunjin who was laying on the bed. The led lights highlighting her bare face. Yunjin had never seen anyone prettier
"Unnie are you going to give me the answer to the question i asked you the day before yesterday" yunjin looked up with expectant eyes
"Okay" Chaewon's voice was so soft and fragile. Yunjin feared it would break at any time.
"It's alright if you don't want to-"
"I want to, yun."
"Ok"
"I met someone at the university"
Oh. that's alright,It's not like she's entitled to you she has no reason to be.
"She was perfect,she listened to me, paid attention to me when i though no one was, helped me through the hardest times of my first year. I couldn't help but fall for her and my feelings were reciprocated surprisingly"
That's not surprising. Anyone would be willing to love you atleast i will
"I heard rumours saying that she gets bored easily and always goes back to her first girlfriend. I thought rumours are rumours and decided against it thinking i could change her and everything was perfect she was a great girlfriend, but before my last exam i saw her kissing her ex" her voice trembled and yunjin could see tears on the brink of flowing and immediately embraced chaewon into a hug
"Unnie it's alright you deserve better i know you do" Iam willing to do everything she couldn't.
She pulled back to wipe her tears. Their eyes met and they were so close yunjin's fingers wiping the lone tear.
"Yun will always love unnie right?"
Yunjin gulped.This is bad chaewon must be drunk.she needs to stop whatever this is
"Yes unnie..."
Their faces were extremely close yunjin could see Chaewon's glassy eyes and the texture of her lips so soft and smooth, her cute button nose and the smell of her strawberry scented lipgloss
Before she knew it chaewon closed the gap between them sealing their lips together. Yunjin met her with equal fervour slightly pushing down on chaewon untill she was lying down both of legs slotted between yunjin's. Both of them pulled back for air. Yunjin had never seen such a beautiful sight before.
Chaewon's lips were plump due to the heated liplocking session, her dress hiked up to her thigh looking at yunjin with the most beautiful expression that looked so fragile and looked as if she had to be handled with utmost care if not she would break into million little pieces. So yunjin did exactly that took her time exploring Chaewon's with care and slowly made her way down towards the exposed collarbone littering her neck with soft kisses along the way.
"So pretty unnie" yunjin murmured her hands hiking upwards under the dress. Chaewon's hand rested on yunjin's neck.
"Chaewon come downstairs we're going!" Ms kim's voice reached Chaewon's and it seemed like she sobered up shaken out of whatever trance she was in and yunjin noticed quickly scrambling out of bed to help charwon up
"Uhhh i think mom is calling me. Iam gonna go"
"Yeah sure I'll see you tom-"
The door slammed before yunjin could finish her sentence.
"Fuck.."
