The Move

Well, now that you know what secret buck is hiding under his sleeve you may start to understand more why the fallout happens. Here he was, sitting on Eddie's couch with the tablet in hand. Was Eddie serious? Was he leaving Buck like everyone else did? Fine then, all Buck can do is be happy for him. Right? Chris had made him promise not to talk to Eddie. Buck could try to convince Eddie to talk to Chris, maybe nudge him in the correct direction. That's not his job though, is it. His job is to sit and help Eddie find a good house. One with seemingly good bones, and no terrifying back stories of murder. A house with a lovely backyard and enough rooms for Eddie, Chris, and.. guests. Something that slightly resembled the house Eddie was leaving behind in L.A. That's what he did, Buck helped. He stuffed all his emotions, all of his feelings deep down into the depths of his mind and heart never to be heard by anyone but himself.

Buck was fine. Eddie informed Bobby first, Bobby glanced at Buck. Why did he do that? He was fine, he didn't need Bobby worrying about him this was about Eddie. Then at dinner in the firehouse later that night Eddie told everyone else. Maddie and Athena had joined them for dinner, even Josh tagged along. Buck had made sure Josh knew he was always welcome because Josh was family. Even if they didn't spend much time together Josh did so much for him and Maddie purely from the kindness in his heart. Of course Josh was welcome. Instead of asking questions or trying to deter Eddie from this decision everyone looked at Buck. He was fine. Why were they looking at him. He smiled and continued to eat, changing the topic when no one could move on from the move. Buck spent his time at Eddie's house. Helping Eddie pack his house away. The last room being Christopher's room. Buck stood quietly in the doorframe when Eddie had enter the room. The two hadn't said much the entire day. What was there to say? Everything was too raw, too pure. He couldn't stand this. Buck couldn't take much more of this. But Bullet, bullet could. Bullet can handle people leaving. Bullet can be quiet and help. Bullet would give everything to Eddie. To the 118. To anyone who needed anything. So instead of being Buck, today buck would be bullet. Someone he thought he'd never have to be again. Buck would be Bullet. Just this once.

Hershey PA, 2009.

The building was more, calming, then Evan had expected. There were cars buzzing around and soldiers walking back and forth. People training, Sargents yelling. Evan could get used to this, he was used to this infact. The screaming the fighting, he did that his entire life so this would be a run in the park for him. He took a step forward his head held just enough to see. He didn't hold his head in confidence but refused to bow his head in shame. So he walked, his duffle back sling over his shoulder. His dog tags testing neatly on top of his fatigues. Evan was too of his class in BUDS, SQT, and SERE. He had started his training at 16. Being his own guardian came with it's perks, and hardships after all. He never intended to emancipate himself at first, but then the accident happened and he couldnt stop it by that point. He had been on his own at 16 and finished highschool by getting his GED. He was smart, but he needed to be deployed as quickly as possible. He wanted to travel as far away from Pennsylvania as he could. The navy would give him that, and that's all he cared about.

Evan soon joined a team at 17. He had signed up to be in the SEALs after all. His commander was thrilled to have him, buck was top of his class in everything and always showed great strength. Cautiously bulking when he had the chance and never letting himself get rest unless necessary. Evan was the perfect machine for the Navy. He could switch his emotions off completely and become a turret if needed. Being the demolitionist came with its perks. He could blow things up and new how to take any bomb or explosive device apart. He was perfect for the demolitionist role, Evan adored puzzles and could easily get a puzzle finished with one hand tied.

Evan soon learned everyone's names in his team. 16 people total. He bunked with a guy named Xavier. Xavier was normally referred to as 'Mad Dog' because Xavier was easily angered. Somehow Evan had crawled his way into Mad Dog's heart so he had to bunk with him. Mad Dog was the teams best sniper and always agile on his feet. He was smaller then most of the men on the team, standing at about 5'5 and weighing 250 from pure muscle. Mad dog was undeniably Evans favorite when he first joined because mad dog would listen to his rants without complaint, sometimes adding onto the information Evan shared.

Then there was Casey, she was the best damn medic Evan had ever met. Ralph wasn't terrible but Casey had a way with her hands that was incredible! Evan had only a couple scars from the things Casey stitched up because she was that good. Everyone called her Needle. Ralph on the other hand wasn't as steady, but he was extremely good under pressure and had a good eye for danger. Everyone called him Hay. No one ever really explained to Ralph why he was Hay, but it's obvious. Ralph and Casey were partners in crime, Casey was his Needle in a hay stack. Get it?

Then there's Mad Dog's partner Teddy, He was the other sniper for the team. Teddy was an amazing shot, almost as good as Mad Dog! A few more years and Teddy could probably be the best. Everyone called Teddy, Guru. I never got the full story on it but apparently he came from a very hippie background and was one of the only people Mad Dog allowed to hug him, so everyone assumed he had "tamed the beast" aka, mad dog.

Finally we have Keith and Mya. Everyone would call them Mom and Dad. Kieth, aka Mom, was our commander. He was always the mediator for our shenanigans but didn't like to yell unless it was mission related. Lutenit Mya, aka dad, on the other hand was always up to yell at us for our bullshit. She was the only one allowed to call us out on shit really. If anyone else tried to do it I'm not sure any of us would listen. I loved my little crew, they made me long for love and family. Mad Dog and Guru got married about two years into my time with the SEALs. Needle and Hay were engaged and had a baby on the way. Kieth already had two kids with his wife, Coraline. While Mya and her wife just owned cats. They were my family for as long as I can remember.

I bet you're probably wondering what name I got. Oh boy is that a story to share. Evan Buckley, 19, demolitionist for SEAL team 5. Everyone called me Bullet.
