Wilted Star
Platinum blonde hair...brick wall covered in moss...a place so dark you can't see anything...
Cyrus writes it down immediately in his dream journal before he forgot, not that he could. He could almost smell how bad it would be in that dark place, wherever it is.
He makes his way over to breakfast, as if nothing had happened. "Morning Cyrus," Remus chirps, a little uneasy seeing a snake wrapped around his throat like a scarf. He's setting a tray of bacon, eggs and toast down in the center of the table, with a pitcher of grape juice and a smaller one of pumpkin juice, for the adults and Charlie.
He sits down, waiting for the others to do the same thing. They note his quietness, but let's him be. As it's either because he had calmed down quite a bit after the cleansing, or it's because he had a not-so-great dream. They guess it's both.
"You excited to get back to school?" Xenophilius tries to make the conversation light. Cyrus shrugs his shoulders. "You worried about what people are going to say about your new appearance?" he nods. "And Dumbledore. I mean, if I go back to school like this, he's sure that we know about him, so what if he decides to try something?"
Then we'll kill this man you speak of. Cyrus gives her a bit of bacon, showing his appreciation towards her and her protectiveness.
Truthfully, Remus would love to see the face Dumbledore makes when he realizes that his plans are ruined. He would also love for him to die due to snake biting reasons.
"Don't you worry about that okay? You two just focus on schoolwork and being kids, let the adults focus on that." Remus gives him a warm smile. "Speaking of homework, either of you finished your summer homework yet?"
How boring.
"Kinda," Cyrus answers for the both of them. "We've been helping each other. Things have actually become easier since the cleansing. I can actually focus on my work, and things aren't as hard as it used to be!" He says excitedly.
"I suggest you don't wear those snake earrings in class now-or the snake either," Cyrus' fingers brush the metallic silver that winds around and through his ear. The other strokes her smooth scales. "Probably a good idea to just keep it in your pocket during your classes." he knows it's true, but that didn't mean he'd have to like it.
Putting his plate on the sink, he made his way toward his bedroom, closing it so he can get ready for the day.
It opens again, Luna steps in, sitting on the bed. "I had a dream last night." she starts off with. "Mum, I saw her face. Except she looked sad and wilted. I heard her screaming." Cyrus goes to sit next to her, letting her head rest on his shoulder. "I had a similar dream actually. I didn't see her face, but I saw her hair and some place dark. Do you think she's in trouble?" He knows the answer yet asks anyway. She nods immediately. He sighs.
"I wonder how we can find her. I have a suspicion Dumbledore has something to do with it."
She gets up, patting him on the back, leaving so he can get dressed.
He puts his hair in a simple ponytail, wanting to finish off his homework so he can have plenty of free time, as well as get into some of those books he had gotten yesterday. The snake on his shoulder just seems interested in whatever he's doing. Glad that she's out of the glass box.
