She can love?

Regulus paced anxiously in the living room, waiting for his parents to arrive. He was surprised that they had agreed to come over and help him with Harry, but he was grateful nonetheless.

A few moments later, there was a knock at the door. Regulus rushed over and opened it to reveal his parents, Walburga and Orion. They swept into the apartment, looking around disdainfully at the messy living room.

Walburga immediately took charge, ordering a few house-elves around to tidy up the place. She then went over to Harry and took his temperature. "His fever is too high," she snapped at Regulus. "You should have called us sooner."

Regulus felt a pang of guilt, but he didn't want to argue with his mother. He watched as she gave Harry some medicine and then ordered the house-elves to bring in some ice water.

For the next few hours, Regulus watched as his mother took care of Harry with a surprising tenderness. She rocked him gently in her arms and sang him lullabies until he fell asleep. Regulus couldn't believe what he was seeing - this was not the same woman who had always been so cold and distant to him.

As the hours went by, Regulus felt his own fatigue and worry catching up to him. He was grateful for his parents' help, but he was also anxious for James to come home. He needed his husband's support, but he didn't know how James would react to seeing his parents in their apartment.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, James walked through the door. He looked tired and dirty from the renovation work, but when he saw Harry asleep in his mother's arms, his face softened.

But before he could say anything, Walburga turned on him. "You should be ashamed of yourself, James Potter," she spat. "Leaving your husband and child alone like this. You're childish and incapable of taking care of the youngest heir of the noble house of Black."

James looked taken aback by Walburga's sudden attack, but before he could respond, Regulus stepped in. "Please, Mum," he said, his voice shaking. "James has been working hard all day to help our friends. He's been nothing but supportive of me and Harry."

Walburga glared at James for a few more moments before finally calming down. Regulus could tell that there was still a lot of tension between his parents and James, but he was grateful that they were at least trying to get along for Harry's sake.

James went into the kitchen and started to cook a soup for Harry. He also made some butterbeer for the adults, hoping to ease the tension in the room.

As they ate and talked, Regulus felt a strange sense of relief. His parents were still distant and cold, but he could tell that they were starting to see him in a different light. And as they all took care of Harry together, Regulus couldn't help but feel hopeful that they might someday have a real mother-son relationship.
