“Hey, Adora.” Catra grabs Adora’s hand as they stand in front of the familiar door of Netossa, the magicat knocking on it shortly before as the blonde tenses, “It’ll be okay. They’re going to love you.”

“I’ve already met Netossa.” Adora breathes out shakily, “They’re going to think I’m crazy…”

Catra chuckles, “No, they won’t.”

“How can you be so sure?” Adora says in almost a whine.

The tone has the magicat shaking her head with a small smile, “Because.”

“That’s not an answer, Catra.” Adora visibly pouts out unhappily.

Catra turns to fully face Adora, her eyes focused on the blonde’s as she says, “If I wasn’t so sure about you, Netty would never have handed over that ring that’s on your finger right now.”

Adora looks down at the ring and smiles, she looks back up still with a little uncertainty, “You must have been very convincing.”

“I didn’t need to be when I was completely sure.” Catra returns, dipping her head a little so she can catch Adora’s eyes once more, “And right now… I am more than sure that I was right.”

The door swings open, Spinnerella stands in the doorway with hearts in her eyes, one hand on her heart and the other at her eyes, ready to wipe her teary eyes, “Stars. I knew you had it in you, kiddo.” She says almost sobbing, a soft look on her face when she looks at the pair in front of her, “Come on in, dinner’s almost ready.”

And before Catra or Adora can say anything, Spinnerella has spun around and gone back inside to finish getting dinner ready. As Catra shuts the door, they hear Netossa’s voice call out from somewhere in the house, most likely the kitchen, “Help set the table, guys!”

“Sure thing!” Catra calls back, grinning over at Adora, “You good?”

Adora nods and lets herself be pulled in by Catra.

Netossa stands there holding a stack of empty plates in her hands, noticing the pair enter the kitchen, “Ah, I see you actually went through with it.”

“Of course I did.” Catra grins, “I told you, I would.”

Netossa quirks an eyebrow up at Adora, “And you went also along with it?”

Adora nods meekly, “I did.”

“I think you mean, you do.” Spinnerella jests as Adora blushes, “Anyway, stop teasing them.”

“What? Me?” Netossa feigns innocence, “I was just asking perfectly nice questions.”

“Uh huh.” Spinnerella points a pair of tongs at her wife, “Go get the table set.”

“Yes, dear.” Netossa kowtows to her wife, quickly making her way to the dining room with her stack of plates, followed closely by Catra and Adora carrying various things as well. The older woman hears the magicat snicker and once she’s placed her stack of plates down, glares at Catra, “Don’t give me that shit. You’re just as whipped as I am.”

“Guilty as charged, Netty.” Catra replies with a mock salute, “Like you, I’d do anything for my wife.”

“Ooh, how does it feel saying ‘wife’?” Spinnerella asks excitedly as she appears with food, “How often have you said it to each other?”

“It feels…” Catra starts and then watches as Adora moves around to place the plates and cutlery in place as the magicat smiles and finishes her sentence, “Right. Really right.”

“How about you?” Spinnerella asks before realising she hasn’t actually introduced herself yet, “Oh, stars. How rude of me.” She wipes her hands on her apron before holding it out to shake Adora’s hand, “I’m Spinnerella. Everyone just calls me Spinny. And you’ve met my wife Netossa the other night.” She leans in and stage whispers to the blonde, “Don’t let her scare you, she’s all talk and no bite.”

“Hey! Spinny!” Netossa groans out as Catra laughs out, “You’re not supposed to tell people that!”

“Oh love.” Spinnerella presses a kiss on her wife’s cheek, “You don’t scare me.”

“Ugh!” Netossa groans again but succumbs, “I don’t want to scare you.”

“I know.” Spinnerella grins, “You love me. And I love you.”

“Yes. Definitely.” Netossa agrees before she turns to her guests, “Sit.”

Catra pulls out the chair for Adora, the blonde smiles with a nod, “Thank you.”

“My pleasure.” Catra replies softly as she takes a seat next to her before looking up at their hosts, “What?”

“Such chivalry.” Netossa smirks at the magicat.

“Am I upstaging you?” Catra asks cheekily and that earns her a playful glare before laughing, “I’m joking. You probably invented the whole thing since you two have been together since the time of the dinosaurs.”

“Hey!” Spinnerella whines out, “We are not that old!”

Catra just grins back, “If you’re older than me and Adora, then… you’re old.”

Spinnerlla ignores the magicat and turns back to Adora, “I’m sorry, we keep getting interrupted. As I was saying before, I’m Spinny and this is Netty.”

“I’m Adora.” The blonde introduces herself, “It’s really nice to meet you in person.”

“Likewise.” Spinnerella smiles back, “Okay, dinner is getting cold. So, let’s eat!”

They sit back in their chairs once they’ve finished dinner.

“Dinner was fantastic.” Adora compliments, “I don’t think I’ve had a proper home cooked meal in a very long time.”

“You’re very welcome.” Spinnerella gushes out at the compliment, “We try to get Catra over at least once a month. It’s hard to pull her away from the lab when she’s got a slab of rock in front of her until it’s completely exposed.”

“Oh, that’s right.” Netossa agrees with a nod, “She barely ate or slept when she found that tiny dino that she rents out to that museum.”

“Guys… really?” Catra rolls her head back sheepishly, “I wasn’t that bad.”

“Yes. You were.” Spinnerella points her finger at the magicat, “If it wasn’t for Netty physically pulling you out of the lab and to our place to eat and sleep, you would have probably joined that dinosaur on that slab.”

“Would not have.” Catra argues defiantly.

“Tell me again that time you didn’t nearly collapse into a bowl of soup?” Netossa smirks, “Because I have that photo still.”

The magicat shakes her head, faux disappointment on her face as she says, “Spinny, I can’t believe you condone this kind of bullying against me.”

“Leave my wife out of this, kid.” Netossa warns with a smirk, “Or your wife is going to know a lot more embarrassing things about you that you probably never want her to know about.”

“Ooh… like what?” Adora sits up and acts very interested, much to Catra’s horror, “Do tell.”

“Nope! Nah uh!” Catra stands up quickly before turning to Adora with a grin, “I think you should discover all my… misadventures… slowly and not all at once.”

Adora pouts out but there’s a smile trying to break out underneath it all, “But why?”

“Yeah, kid. But why?” Netossa imitates the blonde with a grin and then laughs, the older woman leans against her wife, and then looks at Adora, “I think you should discover all her… secret misadventures on your own. It’s not as fun when it comes second or third hand.”

“Though, I think I should have the privilege of telling the story about the time Catra thought it was a good idea to celebrate new year’s surrounded by strangers that also happened to be swingers…” Spinnerella brings up with a shit eating grin as Adora’s eyes widen and Catra groans, “It was quite a story…”

“Seriously?!” Catra eyes Spinny, “You can’t keep boasting about meeting me for the first time at an elaborate swingers party that I was invited to by your then girlfriend turned wife.”

Adora’s jaw drops as she muses under her breath, “Why would she invite you if she already had a girlfriend?”

“Swingers, princess.” Catra shrugs, “Though… it did happen to turn out to be a good night.”

“Hm.” Spinnerella nods, “I’m also very glad that you didn’t partake in any of the activities once you realised where you were.”

“It was fucking hilarious!” Netossa roars out a laugh, “That’s what you get for being cocky on hitting on my friends.”

“I was not hitting on your friends!” Catra denies, “If anything, your friends are very… handsy.”

“You didn’t have to be handsy back, kid.” Netossa quirks an eyebrow up at her.

“Okay!” Adora interrupts as she quickly checks her time before she turns to Catra, “It’s getting late and I’ve got a 6am appointment at the clinic.”
“Oh, yeah. Shit, sorry, princess.” Catra quickly apologises before standing up and facing her hosts, “Thanks for dinner. It was… a blast.”

“Don’t be a stranger, Cat.” Netossa replies as they walk the pair to the front door, “Just because you’re married doesn’t mean you can skip out on our monthly dinners. And Adora, I expect you to be here too, drag her ass in if you have to.”

Adora laughs as Catra groans at the same time, the blonde nodding as Catra grumbles out, “Whatever…”

“It was very nice to meet you, Adora.” Spinnerella says as she brings the blonde in for a hug, “I’m so happy Catra married you.”

“It was really nice meeting you too.” Adora genuinely says as she looks at Catra, “I’m just lucky that Catra was so insistent.”

Spinnerella leans in and whispers into Adora’s ear, “Don’t be scared, dear. Our Cat really does love you. And she doesn’t love or like a lot of people.”

“I heard that.” Catra says flicking her ears around.

“Oh, hush you.” Spinnerella chastises before bringing the magicat in for a hug as well, “Take care of her.”

“Of course.” Catra nods solemnly, “I married her because deep down, I love her.”

“Ah, to be young.” Spinnerella sighs out happily.

“Hey! We are not even that much older than that rugrat.” Netossa cuts in before softening up when her wife presses a gentle kiss on her cheek, “Take care. Let us know when you get home.”

“Will do.” Catra replies as they say their final goodbyes and eventually leave.

“Are you sure you don’t need to grab stuff from your place?” Catra asks whilst driving the pair back to her place, “You don’t have to stay with me every night if you don’t want to.”

“I want to.” Adora quickly dispels any concern from her magicat wife, “But… I guess if we could do a detour to my place first…”

“No problems, princess.” Catra replies and then glances over at Adora who’s looking back at her, the magicat takes one hand of the steering wheel and intertwines her fingers with her wife’s, “I want you to stay with me too.”

“I know.” Aodra replies with a smirk, “Besides, I’d rather you not wreck my place since it’s still a rental.”

“Are you sure it’s not because of my soft and very comfortable bed?” Catra asks right back with a smirk of her own.

“Well, the bed is nice…” Adora starts before she squeezes Catra’s hand, “But sleeping next to my wife is pretty darn good too.”

Catra chuckles, “I love sleeping next to my wife too.”

“Are you sure you’re still okay with me not moving in all the way yet?” Adora asks biting her bottom lip nervously.

“Yes, Adora.” Catra replies, “Baby steps.”

The blonde laughs at that, “Wasn’t really a baby step getting married though, was it?”

“Well, at least I haven’t got you pregnant too.” Catra replies with a laugh, “The upside of being gay.”

“Uh huh.” Adora smiles back before she takes a breath in, “Do you think you’d want kids?”

Catra’s ear flicker at that, she concentrates just a little bit more on getting them to Adora’s place as she bides her time trying to think out an answer, “Honestly? No.”

“Really?” Adora says a little deflated, “Can I ask why?”

The magicat glances to the blonde who stares back at her with a look of infinite patience as Catra takes in a deep breath, “I… I don’t think I’m really… parent material.”

“Oh.”

“What about you?” Catra asks back.

“Well, it has crossed my mind every now and then.” Adora admits, “But, I’d never thought of it seriously.”

“How come?”

“Well, I’ve always thought that if I was going to have a family then I’d have to find the right person and be in the right place… financially.” Adora starts, she plays with her wife’s claws as she continues, “And… well, I never thought in a million years that I’d even find the right person let alone get married.”

“Are you disappointed?” Catra asks softly, scared to hear the answer.

“No. I’m not.” Adora replies with a squeeze to Catra’s hand, “I think… I think we should take things as they come. I mean, there’s no point pressuring each other for things that we just aren’t ready for or even know if we really want to.” The blonde purses her lips together, “I mean, who knows… things might change in the future.”

“Yeah.” Catra nods before she glances over to Adora again, “You think I’m the right person?”

Adora giggles, “You’re such an idiot.” The blonde leans in and presses a kiss on Catra’s cheek, “Of course you’re the right person. My right person. I did marry you after all.”

“Well, you’re my right person too.” Catra declares with a lot more confidence, “And… we’re here.”

Adora looks up and sees her place, “Want to come up with me?”

“Sure.” Catra says as she parks up.

“You got everything?” Catra asks as she grabs the duffel bag from Adora while the blonde stands in the middle of her place and looks around.

“I think so.” Adora replies as she keeps looking around, “I feel like I’m forgetting something…”

“Like…?”

“I’m not sure.” Adora frowns down and then snaps her fingers in recognition of what she’s forgotten, “That’s right… I’ll be right back.”

Catra nods as she watches Adora walk off to grab whatever it is she’s forgotten, the blonde disappearing into the wardrobe as the magicat slings the duffle bag over her shoulder and leans up against the door, waiting patiently. And when Adora returns, the magicat lifts her head to see her wife coming towards her with a smile and her hands behind her back, “Did you find what you were looking for?”

“Yes.” Adora smiles back happily as she continues to hold her hands behind her back.

“What have you got behind your back, princess?” Catra asks with a raised eyebrow.

“Oh, just something I’ve been meaning to give you.” Adora replies biting her bottom lip ad she brings her hands to the front to show her wife a small box in her hand, “I know it’s not like… expensive or even… pretty, but… it’s something I’ve had for a while and I think you should have it.”

Adora holds the small box out to Catra, looking at her hopefully, the magicat taking the item out of Adora’s hand and she lowers the duffle bag back to the floor and then opens it, she looks back up at her wife, “It’s… a ring?”

“Yes.” Adora nods but doesn’t elaborate more as she watches Catra take the simple ring out from the box and inspect it, the blonde then panics and then starts to ramble, “I know it’s not as nice as the one you got me but it’s the only thing I’ve kept from my childhood and… oh…”

Adora stops rambling when she watches Catra take off the ring around her finger and slide on the one that Adora had just given her, the magicat’s ears flick up and towards her wife, “Thank you.”

“You’re… welcome?” Adora replies, a smile tugging on her lips as Catra pockets her ring back in her pocket, “I hope it’s okay…”

Catra pulls her wife in and presses their lips together, and then breathes out, “You’re such an idiot. I love it.”

Adora pouts, “You can’t call me an idiot.”

“My idiot.” Catra grins as she leans her forehead on her wife’s, “And you are an idiot if you think I wouldn’t love anything you’d give to me. Especially something with such sentimental value.”

“Really?”

“Yes, really.” Catra confirms.

Adora beams up at her wife, pulling Catra back in for another kiss, “Mm… Can we go home now?”

Catra’s chuckles, “Aren’t you already at home, princess?”

The blonde blushes, “Can I not call your place home too?”

“You really think my place is home?” Catra asks genuinely and then nods, “Yes. I want you to think of my place as our home.”

“Oh.” A devious grin appears on Adora’s face, “So… I could do some… redecorating if I wanted?”

“You can do whatever you want, princess.” Catra replies sincerely, “Besides, my place hasn’t really felt like home until you came along.”

“I’ve literally only been there like… 2 nights.” Adora reminds the magicat.

“Best 2 nights of my life.” Catra replies with a grin, “And I can’t wait for you to make your mark on it.”

“Okay.” Adora nods, “But… just be prepared…”

“Hm?”

“You better get ready for all my stuff then…” Adora laughs out, “You’re so going to regret marrying me and letting me take over your place.”

“Don’t think so.” Catra grins, “Not sure if you noticed, but my place is pretty sparse. My lovely wife’s touch would do it good.”

Adora leans in and kisses Catra with a chuckle, “Well… I’m just warning you.”

The magicat rolls her eyes, “Okay, I’ve been warned.” Catra presses one more kiss on Adora’s lips and then says, “So, should we get going?”

Adora nods, “Okay, oh let me.”

Catra brushes Adora off as she grabs the blonde’s duffel bag and slings it over her shoulder, “You can grab your other bag over there.”

The blonde turns and grabs her backpack and then the pair head out.

“6am, huh?” Catra turns over in bed to ask her wife with a yawn, “How far is your office?”

“It’s not too far from here actually.” Adora replies turning over to reply to Catra, “I looked at the bus times and we’re only half an hour or so from the clinic by bus.”

“And… what time is your bus getting to the stop? And how far is this stop?” Catra asks in rapid fire, “Are there even buses around at that time?”

Adora giggles at the last question, she reaches out and pets over her magicat’s ear, “When was the last time you took public transport?”

“A really long time ago.” Catra replies, “I’ve… I’ve never really felt safe using it. Being… non human and all…”

“Oh…” Adora pauses her petting for a moment before resuming her rhythm, “I didn’t know that was a thing… I’m sorry.”

Catra shrugs, “The operators are mostly fine. There’s a few that aren’t so… well, they’re vocal about letting me or other hybrids on.” Adora eyes soften, shaking her head a little angrily at what she’s hearing, as Catra continues, “And if it’s not the driver, it’s the other passengers.”

“Cat…”

“Trains are fine. The drivers of those don’t care as they stay in their own little space.” Catra says, “And there’s always the segregated carriages for us, hybrids. So, it’s not generally too bad on the train. The bus has always been… complicated.”

Adora pulls her wife in for a soft kiss, sighing out and trying to keep her emotions in check, “That’s sucks, babe.”

“Babe?” Catra grins, happy for the lilt in conversation, “How long have you been waiting to say that to me?”

Adora shrugs nonchalantly, “It just came out. You don’t like it, babe?”

“It’s fine, princess.” Catra smiles back.

“Hm…” Adora thinks hard about it and comes to the conclusion, “No, babe is too… generic.”

“Uh huh.”

“Yes.” Adora declares as she furrows her brows and thinks harder before she looks into Catra’s eyes, “How do you feel about me calling you… kitten?”

“No. I’ve heard that too many times and not generally in a good way.” Catra replies scrunching up her nose at the option.

“Okay, not kitten.” Adora looks up again in thought before she suggests the next one, “How about… tiger?”

“Tiger?”

“Yeah.” Adora nods and then runs her hand along her the strips on Catra’s arm, “Because, tigers have stripes. Like you have. And you’re kind of like a tiger…”

“Tiger.” Catra repeats in thought and Adora nods again.

“Plus it’s kind of badass.” Adora supplies with a grin trying to get her point across.

“You think I’m badass?” Catra asks incredulously.

“Totally.” Adora replies as she leans her forehead against Catra’s, “Total badass, tiger.”

“Ugh… fine.” Catra begrudgingly agrees, quietly happy with the nickname, clearing her throat as she goes back to her original question and train of thought, “So, how long is it going to take you on the bus to get to work?”

“About an hour.” Adora turns over and grabs her phone, swiping around until she lands on the transport page, “I need to be at the bus stop by 5am.”

“5am…” Catra repeats, “I thought you said it was half an hour…”

“It is, but I want to get something to eat and drink before work too.” Adora replies, “So, it’ll give me a buffer and I don’t have to rush.”

“So… you’re going to be at the bus stop for 5am?”

“Yep.” Adora confirms, “Mm… better get sleeping then, huh?”

“You’re nuts.” Catra replies with a shake of her head.

Adora glares back at her bleary-eyed, “I am not. I have to get to work.”

“Tell me again why you didn’t just drive your car over?” Catra asks confused, “Aren’t all your… tools and stuff in there?”

“I won’t need them at the clinic, tiger.” Adora replies with her eyes shut, “The clinic has basically everything anyways. I just have to be there on Monday and Wednesdays.”

“What for?”

“Consultations and coverage really.” Adora replies.

“And you’re going to take the bus to work?”

“Yes.” Adora giggles this time as she confirms yet again.

“Fuck. Let me drive you then.” Catra says and Adora opens up one eye to stare at her wife, “It’s sketchy at 5am. Even if it is a Monday.”

“Oh, you don’t have to.” Adora closes her eye again, “I’ll be fine. There’s no point you being up so early if you don’t have to.”

“Yes. I have to. You’re my wife and I promised to protect and serve you.” Catra declares, “I’ll drop you off at your work before I head to mine.”

“Protect and serve was not part of our vows, Tiger.” Adora laughs as she opens both eyes this time and stares at Catra with a grin, “You really don’t have to drive me, tiger. I’ll be alright.”

Adora’s words do nothing to sway Catra, who simply shakes her head, “No. I’m taking you to work in the morning.”

Adora sighs, “Are you sure? It’s really early…”

“I’m sure.” Catra says with an air of finality, “And… maybe we can get some coffee and something to eat…”

“Mmm… you really know how to treat a girl.” Adora jests with a giggle as she brings Catra in for another kiss, “Okay, I’m only letting you do this because of the free breakfast.”

“Whatever you say, princess.” Catra grins, pressing her lips against Adora’s once more before turning over and grabbing her phone, “Let me just set my alarm. Where is this clinic?”

Catra wakes up earlier than her alarm, turning over and shutting it off before looking over at the warm body laying next to her and smiling down at Adora’s form, she turns on her side and just… watches.

Adora’s alarm goes off at 4.15am, the blonde slowly rouses as Catra reaches over to turn it off, the blonde smiling as she pulls her wife down and on top of her, making her magicat yelp a little in surprise as Adora wraps her arms around her torso, bringing her wife in for a hug.

“Morning, princess.” Catra whispers out, gently lowering the phone back down onto the bedside table and then nuzzling into her wife’s neck, “It’s early.”

“Mhm.” Adora hums out happily as she cuddles Catra in her arms, “Sure is.”

“Time to get up and get ready.” Catra says as she presses a soft kiss on Adora’s neck, “Also… we don’t have time for shenanigans if you have to start at 6am.”

“This is the first time I’ve hated started early in my life.” Adora grumbles into Catra’s chest, “Maybe I should call in sick…”

Catra laughs, “No. I’m already up.”

Adora pouts.

“And knowing you, I’m sure that you’re not that kind of person to do that to your coworkers unless it was really bad.” Catra pushes herself up as she grins at Adora knowingly, “Do you want to shower?”

“Guess I should.” Adora sighs out dramatically, “What about you?”

“Yeah, not going to happen.” Catra says as Adora stares back surprised, the magicat grabs Adora’s hand and rubs it over her chest, “Fur takes a while to dry.”

“When was the last time you showered?” Adora asks a little concerned.

“Yesterday. Before we went to Spinny and Nets place for dinner.” Catra replies, “I’m surprised you didn’t notice.”

“What was I doing?” Adora tries to think back.

“Princess.” Catra says bringing the blonde back to the present, “You’ve got your alarm set for 415am… aren’t you going to get ready?”

“No.” Adora grins as she pulls Catra back into her, “That’s just my first alarm.”

“You’re what now?”

“My first alarm.” Adora replies with a smile.

“How many alarms have you got?” Catra asks as she tries to reach for Adora’s phone to turn off the other ones.

Adora shrugs, “3 or 4.”

“Uh huh.” Catra hums out as she flops down on the bed next to Adora, the blonde’s phone in her hand as she turns off the rest of her wife’s alarms, “How long does it take you to get ready?”

“Half an hour.” Adora shrugs with a grin, “Which means… we’ve got half an hour…”

“Less than.” Catra says as she shows the time to Adora.

“Can you do it in less than half an hour?” Adora quirks an eyebrow up at her wife.

“That’s… that’s not the problem.” Catra replies with an eye roll.

“Then... what’s the problem?” Adora asks with a smirk, “It’s not like you have a problem with getting it up.”

Catra rolls her eyes and then yelps when Adora flops herself on top of her magicat, “What are you doing, princess?”

“Well… if you’re not going to make a move…” Adora leans down and presses kisses on Catra’s cheek, jaw and neck, “I’m going to have to do it myself.”

“You’re going to masturbate in my bed again?” Catra deadpans.

The question makes Adora chuckle, “Well, if you’re not up for it… then I guess I’ll have to do it myself.”

“Uh huh.” Catra says flatly, an incredulous look on her face, “What’s gotten into you, princess?”

“Hopefully… you.” Adora replies as she leans down for more intense kiss…

“Catra! Hurry up! I’m going to be late!” Adora calls out from the front door.

The magicat growls out, she’s still trying to dry herself off from the last minute shower, grumbling under her breath, “Yeah, yeah. Don’t get your panties in a twist, princess.”

“Can’t get them in a twist if I’m not wearing any.” Adora replies with a smirk watching Catra’s jaw drop upon hearing that before the blonde laughs, “I’m wearing underwear, tiger. I don’t even own panties.”

“Same thing.” Catra shrugs before draping her damp towel over one of her dining chairs and grabbing her keys, “Got everything?”

“Yeah.” Adora nods as she opens the door and the pair head out.

“What time do you finish?” Catra asks as she parks up in the parking lot of the vet clinic.

“My shift ends at 2pm.” Adora replies as she unbuckles her seat belt and takes a look at the time, “Oh, crap! I’m going to be late!”

Adora grabs Catra bye the collar of her jacket and pulls her in for a kiss, the magicat laughing at the blonde as she tries to get out of her car quickly, “Have a great day, princess.”

“I love you, tiger!” Adora calls back as Catra waves to her, watching until her wife has made it inside before putting her car back in gear and driving off.

“Adora?” Starla from reception pops her head inside one of the rooms that Adora’s currently in as the blonde checks over a small dog, Adora looks up, “Your… wife… is in reception.”

“Thanks, Starla.” Adora nods, ignoring the look on the other woman’s face, “I’ll be right out after I finish up with Molly here.”

Starla nods and shuts the door, Adora turns back to the owner, “Molly, looks all good.”

“What did her blood tests come back with?” Molly’s owner, Bruce asks, “She’s been limping a little when she walks.”

“Her blood work came back fine. The limp is from the fur around her paws being a little overgrown. I’ve clipped the fur around them back as she was slipping and sliding all over the place.” Adora replies lifting the dogs paws up to show him, “You’ve just got to keep on top of that, especially if she’s on slippery or tiled floors.”

“Was that it?”

“She seems to be walking better now.” Adora tells him, “Easier for her to walk. She was struggling before but she seems to doing better now. See.” Adora places Molly on the ground and the dog happily walks around the room inquisitively sniffing everything as her owner smiles, “She’s all good to go.”

“Thank you, Adora.” Bruce says as he clips the leash back onto Molly’s collar, “I’ll do better to keep on top of her paws.”

Adora nods with a smile, turning around to wash her hands before she goes to open the door for Bruce and Molly to head out, “Bye guys!”

Bruce waves back as the blonde pops her head out and sees Catra, her wife, a beaming smile on her lips as she stares at her magicat who sees her and grins, walking over with 2 cups of hot drinks and a paper bag in her hands.

“Hey Adora.” Catra rasps out holding out a cup towards her, “Coffee?”

“You are a life saver!” Adora grins widely as she eagerly grabs the cup and takes a sip, “Ahh…”

Catra smiles back, “I aim to please.”

Adora giggles, “Don’t I know it.”

“I totally do know it.” Catra replies with a smirk, leaning in and speaks softer, “Pretty sure I pleased you multiple times this morning…”

Adora shivers, closing her eyes and recalling their morning in bed together, before opening them and finding the paper bag in her wife’s hands, “Ooh… what’s that?”

“Oh, this?” Catra holds up the paper bag with the same smirk on her face, “Breakfast. Hope you like breakfast wraps.”

“Gimme, gimme!” Adora makes grabby hands for it as Catra hands the bag over to Adora, the blonde quickly pulling out the food and unwrapping it before sinking her teeth into it, the ensuing moan reminiscent of the sounds the blonde made earlier in the morning, “Stars… that is so good…”

Catra takes a sip of her own cup to hide her grimace upon hearing that sound come from her wife, “Okay… well, I guess I better get back to work.”

“Awe, do you have to?” Adora pouts out, not caring if anyone else can hear them, “It’s only 7am. What time do you start work?”

“Uh… whenever I want really.” Catra shrugs.

Their conversation is interrupted by Starla tapping on Adora’s shoulder, “Sorry, Adora. But your next patient is here.”

“Oh, right.” Adora says in realisation that she needs to get back to work, “Give me 5 minutes, would you?”

Starla nods, “No worries.”

“Thanks, Starla.” Adora says as she turns to Catra, “Uh… I better get back to work.”

Catra watches amusedly, “Yeah, you better.” She holds her hand out for the unfinished breakfast wrap, “Are you going to finish that?”

Adora pulls her breakfast back protectively, “No way!” and then stuffs the whole thing in her mouth, almost choking before managing to chew and eventually swallow it down, “See. All gone!”

“You’re ridiculous.” Catra laughs, “Okay, I better get going, princess.”

“Okay. Bye tiger.” Adora leans in and kisses her wife and then yelps when she feels Catra’s tail whack her in the ass and glares playfully at her, “Will I see you tonight?”

“Yes.” Catra replies before groaning out, “Ugh, I have to go shopping with Scorp tonight…”

“Do you… can I come?” Adora asks nervously.

“Uh, yes.” Catra replies a little uncertainly before the thought of having Adora there while she finds herself a new suit makes her smile and then she repeats a lot more confidently, “Yes. Come.”

Adora blushes, “Catra…”

“Stars…” Catra chuckles, “You’re such an idiot. I’ll meet you at your place after I finish work, don’t eat dinner.”

“Okay.” Adora nods, “Wait, why?”

“Because Scorp and I are going to grab dinner before we go clothes shopping.” Catra replies matter of factly, “We usually hit up a steak house or something beforehand.”

“You… you eat before you go shopping for clothes?” The suggestion is completely foreign to the blonde, “Why?”

“Well, if you fill up before you go clothes shopping, the clothes you get will feel better when you’re wearing them on event days or nights.” Catra simply says, “Otherwise any clothes we get will be form fitting and we won’t be able to enjoy any food during said event days or nights. Trust me, I’d rather be comfortable and stylish than the opposite.”

“That’s actually pretty smart…” Adora hums out.

“Because it is smart, princess.” Catra smirks.

“Adora!” Starla calls out, “Your 5 minutes is up. Patient is in your room.”

“Thanks Starla.” Adora sheepishly replies as she quickly leans in and kisses Catra once more, “Thank you for breakfast. I’ll see you later. Love you.”

“I love you too, princess.” Catra grins back wildly, “Okay, I’m out of here. Lest I get attacked by your next patient…”

Adora grins as she watches Catra exit the clinic before quickly turning back and getting back to work with a spring in her step.

“Hey guys!” Scorpia greets the pair, waving wildly at the same time and nearly taking out a few people at the same time, “Oh gosh, I’m so sorry…”

“Scorp.” Catra greets back with a nod, “I’m starving.”

“Oh, I hope you’re hungry, Adora.” Scorpia grins at the blonde, “I’ve booked us a table. Are you guys ready?”

“Yes.” Adora beams back, squeezing Catra’s hand at the same time, “I skipped lunch so yeah, definitely hungry.”

“Awe…” Scorpia coos upon seeing Catra holding hands with Adora, “I still can’t get over the fact that you guys are actually married.”

Catra can’t stop the smile that comes on her face at hearing Scorpia say the word, married, squeezing Adora’s hand back in return, “Believe it. Those greens, which I will no longer partake in ever again, really did something to me.” She looks at her wife fondly, “And I’m so lucky she said yes to me.”

“I hope me and Perfuma will be just as happy when we get married.” Scorpia gushes.

“But you’re already happy, right?” Adora asks.

“Yes. More than happy.” Scorpia says as she leads them to the restaurant.

“Then it really shouldn’t change once you get married.” Catra shrugs, “I mean, you’re already living together. You practically do everything together. I don’t think putting a ring on it is going to change how you already feel about her.”

“Awe, Wildcat!” Scorpia wraps both of them in a hug, “Married life really has changed you…”

“No, it hasn’t.” Catra denies, “Can you put us down so we can finally get dinner?”

“Oh, gosh, right.” Scorpia puts the pair down and they make their way inside for dinner.

Perfuma and Scorpia’s Wedding

“I do!” Perfuma says as she pulls Scorpia in for their kiss as everyone laughs and cheers when they are finally married officially.

“Way to go, Scorp.” Catra pats a beaming Scorpia on the shoulder as she watches the pair walk down the aisle and into the crowd of well wishing friends and family, her scorpini friend pulls her in for a bone crushing hug, “Oof… good on ya, big gal…”

“Thanks Wildcat!” Scorpia says with tears in her eyes.

As soon as the bride and bride disappear into the crowd, Catra stalks down to find her own wife, who happens to be standing with Glimmer and Bow, talking animatedly about something with happy tears in their eyes.

“Hey Adora.” Catra wraps her arms around her wife.

“Catra!” Adora turns around and pulls her wife into a happy embrace, “That was so beautiful.”

“It really was, wasn’t it?” Catra agrees with a nod.

“Yeah, Catra.” Glimmer snarks teasingly, “It was really beautiful… what was your wedding like to Adora?”

Catra growls out playfully, used to the jibes and back and forth with the sparkly woman, “Our wedding was so amazing and beautiful that no one except a few people witnessed it.” She smirks at Glimmer, “So… when are you and Arrows getting hitched?”

Glimmer blushes and Bow looks away, making a humming noise.

“Oh, he hasn’t asked yet…” Catra surmises with another grin, “Come on, Arrows. What are you waiting for?”

“Uh…” he looks around for an exit, maybe a hole to swallow him down, “Soon. Just… I can’t do it here for obvious reasons.”

“Totally.” Adora agrees.

“Yeah, because I will claw you if you steal Scorpia’s and Perfuma’s thunder today.” Catra warns, her claws unsheathing threateningly as she also reveals her teeth, “And don’t think I’m playing around here…”

“Guys!” Scorpia says as her and Perfuma come back to meet the group, “Thank you so much for coming to our celebration!”

“It was so beautiful.” Adora gushes.

“Totally was.” Catra chimes in.

“It was lovely.” Glimmer wipes a tear from her eye.

“I totally loved it.” Bow beams, “Everything is so… perfect!”

“Oh, thank you guys!” Perfuma laughs, brushing it off like it didn’t take a lot of preparation as a few waiters start to bring out drinks on trays, “Drinks everyone! Grab a glass so we can do a toast.”

Everyone grabs a glass as they watch the newly married couple take the stage set up off to the side, waiting in anticipation of what the pair want to say when Catra, out of nowhere pulls out a microphone from her suit jacket and turns it on.

“Ahem, everybody?” Catra speaks into the microphone as the venue staff quickly set up the stage with a standing mic as everyone turns to the magicat, “Uh, thanks. I guess as Scorp’s best person, I’m supposed to make a speech or something.”

“Do you have a speech, tiger?” Adora whispers into Catra’s ear a little nervous as she waits for an answer.

Catra nods with a small smile on her lips as she turns back to see everyone looking her way, “Okay, where was I? Right, a speech. So, here it is.” Catra smiles at her friends on stage and then starts to speak again, “Scorp, you’re one of my best friends. And usually I’d pawn this type of thing to Traps to do, but I fear she’d make some kind of cyborg to deliver it.”

“I totally would!” Entrapta shouts out from somewhere in the room, garnering laughter from the crowd.

“Which means, I’ve got that job of delivering this speech.” Catra continues, a smile still on her face, “Scorpia is a true believer in love. And for her to meet and fall in love with Perfuma who is as much or more of a true believer in love, well, that’s… that’s incredible.” The pair nods and hold their glass up to the magicat, “And I have to say, it took them a while to get to where they are now, but, stars, if I had to hear Scorp gush about how perfect and amazing Perfuma was one more time and then not act on it, I think I would have had to literally lock them in the tunnel of love together until they figured it out.”

That gets a laugh from the crowd as the newly married couple rolls their eyes at Catra.

“Anyways, I wish them both the best and that they’ll love and cherish each other for the rest of their lives…” Catra takes a moment, “And now I sound like the celebrant… anyways, to Perfuma and Scorpia!”

To Perfuma and Scorpia!

“Hey Wildcat!” Scorpia and Perfuma join the pair on the dancefloor, “Come have a drink with us!”

“Nah, I’m all good, Scorp.” Catra chuckles.

“Oh, come on, Cat!” Perfuma chines in, “Just one!”

“Ugh fine.” Catra rolls her eyes as 2 drinks get shoved into her and Adora’s hands as the lights go darker, “To you guys, I guess.” Catra toasts and slings back her drink.

“Cat! Wait!” Adora tries to stop Catra from sculling the drink after tasting what was given to them and her eyes widen upon seeing Scorpia and Perfuma essentially coming to the same conclusion.

“What’s wrong, princess?” Catra grins dopily back at her wife, “Oh, are you going to drink that?”

And before Adora can move her drink away, Catra’s snatched it up and sculled it too, “Stars… Catra…”

“Wildcat… we got our drinks mixed up…” Scorpia sheepishly admits as Catra’s eyes go wide, “Uh, how are you feeling?”

“Good? I guess… why?” Catra replies feeling strange and then sees the looks on her friends and her wife’s face and comes to the realisation, “Let me guess… greens?” the group nod in unison, “Well, what’s the worse that can happen now? I mean, I’m already married to Adora.”

“You better take her home, Adora.” Perfuma softly suggests to the other blonde.

Adora nods, “Okay, come on, tiger. Let’s go home.”

“I don’t know what’s the big deal, princess.” Catra complains as Scorpia assists in getting the magicat to an awaiting car, the magicat turning back to her friend, “I mean, what’s the worse that can happen…”

The next day…

Catra wakes up in her bed, alone.

She looks around for Adora, before flopping back down on it.

“Adora?” Catra groans out, “Are you here?”

Adora comes back into the bedroom and smiles at her wife, “Morning, tiger.”

“Morning, princess.” Catra replies as Adora seems to be staring at her face, “What? What’s wrong?”

“Oh, I can’t believe you got a face tattoo!” Adora tells her wife.

“What?!” Catra jumps up and out of bed, her fingers on her face like she might be able to feel it, “I got what?!”

Adora watches with a chuckle as she watches Catra run to the bathroom, “How is it, Cat?”

Catra comes back from the bathroom with a predatory look on her face as she quirks an eyebrow up at her wife, “You tricked me.”

“You should have seen your face!” Adora starts to laugh before Catra tackles back down onto the bed, the blonde shrieks out in laughter as her wife tickles her, “Stop! Stop! Catra…” she can’t stop laughing, “Please! Mercy! Mercy!”

“Uh huh.” Catra leans in and presses a kiss onto her wife’s lips.

“I got you good.” Adora smirks.

“Yeah, you did.” Catra rolls her eyes, “But… I got you good last night…”

“How much do you even remember of last night?” Adora asks.

“I remember everything clearly up to the part where I drank those two drinks.” Catra recounts and then she smirks, “And…” the magicat reaches for Adora’s shirt and pulls it off, “I also remember getting you good, real good last night…”

Adora face blushes at the memory of last night’s bedroom activities.

“And… now that I sort of remember it…” Catra rubs her cheek against Adora’s, “So… let me relive it without the greens…”

“Oh, stars!” Adora moans out as her wife recreates what happened last night.
