Rubí Eyes
“Mr. Malfoy I’m sure you know why I called you here.” Draco stood in front of the head mistress his hands clenched in anger as Harry and Hermione glared at him.
“I have nothing to do with whatever happened to that fool!” Draco wrote angrily in his notepad and Mcgonagall’s lips formed a thin line as she read it. She was not pleased.
“Profesor he’s the only one with motive to do this” said Harry turning to Draco angrily.
“What happened” wrote Draco not knowing what the hell they were talking about.
“Mr. Weasley has been poisoned” said the headmistress with a weary tone in her voice. He’s in the infirmary now in a petrified state.” So that’s why he was here. Of course the first person they would point their fingers at was him.
Holding his head high he turned to walk away as they looked on unbelieving.
“Mr. Malfoy where are you going?”
“That fool does not interest me. This meeting is a sham so unless you any evidence proving that I did something I’m leaving.” Draco signed angrily as Hermione translated his words aloud.
“Mr. Malfoy if we find any evidence of you’re involvement in this there will serious consequences.”
He walked away ignoring her as his robes flared behind him dramatically.

Draco groaned as he searched through his trunk. He needed a new notebook as his old one was filled up already. Digging through his belongings he spotted a small box buried at the bottom of his truck hidden behind an old sweater.
His chest tightened and he pulled it out. His grey eyes widening in recognition. He grabbed it and ripped off the slytherine green wrapping paper. It was a golden necklace of a snake biting it’s tail in the shape of the letter D. The small snake had bright red ayes as he’d instructed the jeweler to use rubies for the eyes. Hanging off a long gold chain the snake stared back at Draco and he felt his eyes sting with tears.
He’d bought it during his sixth year, for Theo. He’d been given his mission by the Dark Lord and he’d never felt so alone. He’d lived for those moments with Theo where the world would disappear and he could pretend to be someone else. He’d bought it over the summer in hopes of giving it to Theo on the train to school.
He’d ignored Crabbe and Goyle as he’d gotten on the train immediately searching for Theo. He hadn’t even wanted to make their relationship public. He’d just wanted Theo to know how much their secret moments meant to him. Then he’d opened the door to Theo’s compartment and found him snogging some Ravenclaw girl he’d never talked to.
“Excuse me” said Theo annoyed “can you go we’re kinda busy.” Draco had stood there for a second blinking hard to keep from crying. Then he’d slammed the compartment door and walked away.
His mind raced to Theo. He’d seemed so genuine in Slughorn’s office and Draco turned to his empty bed. The last time he’d seen him Theo was in the common room. Why was he so concerned for Draco now? Why did he care about Draco’s suicide attempt when he hadn’t even bothered to visit. Why did he beg Draco for another chance but push him away when he wanted to kiss him.
Turning towards the door he walked out. He needed to talk to Theo. To understand what the other young man wanted. To finally put his feelings on the table. Maybe if he just gave Theo a chance?
He stepped into the common room to find Theo on the couch. His lip’s atop of Lavender’s Draco felt the box slip from his hands and hit the carpet as he looked at Theo. It wasn’t just that they were snogging disgustingly in public it was the way he held her. The way he looked at her without a care in the world. Like no one and nothing else matter.
“Don’t to talk to me in public” Theo had said angrily one night after sex. I don’t want people to get any ideas. “As far as people know we’re in the same house and that’s it!”
Theo pulled back from Lavender to find Draco staring at him. His face turned pale and Draco looked away.
“Draco, I -“
Draco ignored him and walked out of the door. He ran as far his feet would take him and it wasn’t until he was in the room of requirement that he finally broke down in tears.
