Valka was holding Hiccup when Cloud Jumper took her that night. As a result Hiccup is raised at the dragon sanctuary.
Oswald the Agreeable crashes his ship at the sanctuary with his two children. Seeing how peacefully Valka has been living with the dragons, Oswald decides to stay and raise his children in the nest.
Dagur, Hiccup and Heather grow up as siblings. With Dagur being the teasing but protective big brother. He is especially protective of his little sister Heather. All is right until Oswald is killed by dragon hunters. Which after causing Dangur to have a meltdown, also causes him to become even more protective of his remaining family.
Flash forward to the time the second movie takes place. And the kids want to see where they come from. But will their parents' home villages be ready to accept them with the siblings being more dragon than human? How will Stoic react to finding out his son is alive and that he was raised by the very creatures he hates.
No ValkaxOswald. They have a sibling relationship. Hiccup calls Oswald uncle while Heather and Dagger call Valka aunt. Everyone in their family knows how to speak dragonese after living with them for years. With the kids being more fluent in dragonese then Nores.
