finally.
"Hey Siri, I'll be ready in a minute...whoa..." Severus stopped walking as he came out from the back of his apothecary.
Sirius was in full Black regalia, looking every bit of Lord Black of the Ancient and Most Noble House of Black as possible.
"ah, yeah hi Sev" Sirius said...he looked both excited and nervous
Severus fixed him with a glare "you're being weird, and you're dressed all Lordy...what the fuck is going on"
"c'mon I'll explain over lunch...let's go catch up I haven't seen you in forever"
Sirius grabbed his hand and apparated them straight to a private room at The Orchid on Lanesborough...it was a mixed muggle and wizarding neighborhood
"what the fuck Siri, you could've warned me before we apparated straight here"
Sirius shrugged and smiled at him...his smile didn't quite reach his eyes
"okay Sirius you're really freaking me out and before we sit down you are telling me what the fuck is wrong. You're dressed like you're about to go into a business meeting, you're clearly nervous and scared about something. Are you trying to tell me you're dying or something? because I am totally at a loss...I thought we were just going to catch up."
"well, yes I am nervous...we are catching up, but I do need to talk to you...I just need to...c'mon let's just sit down" Sirius sat down and took his hand "what do you want to drink..."
"I'll have some fire whiskey and some answers Black"
Sirius opened his mouth but nothing came out...
their drinks showed up and still Sirius just kind of fidgeted nervously
Severus stared back and waiting.
Sirius gave him a half smile and Severus just raised his eyebrow and waited.
Severus slowly sipped his drink and let him sweat. In all the years he'd known Sirius he'd loved him deeply and he knew Sirius had something big to tell him. Severus couldn't imagine what for the life of him so he just waited.
"Severus I've realized some things over the years and well...y'know...we're friends. Good friends. We've been friends forever....and I've never seen you date anyone...and I sometimes date but I don't and I wondered why"
Severus just sat still looking at him wondering where the fuck he was going with this...
Sirius paused
"I realized I'm in love with you, it's never worked with anyone I've never wanted anyone because I am yours...my heart is yours can I court you and earn your heart in return?"
Severus froze.
Sirius looked like he could die.
This was everything Severus had ever wanted...but did he want to be courted?
He had never dated because nobody could ever compete with what he felt for Sirius, what was the point? But now it was Sirius asking.
"you are an absolute ass Sirius Black"
Sirius paused and looked panicked "huh?"
"yes"
"you're sure-"
Sirius was completely cut off as Severus grabbed hold of him, the same way he had grabbed him in so many fantasy's before, and pulled him in for a deep kiss
just as it was getting good Severus paused and pulled back
"wait, no" he looked Sirius in the eyes "no you definitely cannot court me...nope"
"I'm really getting mixed signals here, but seriously Severus just give me a chance"
"you absolute piece of shit I have loved you for years, I can't imagine ever not loving you - what the fuck took you so long to figure this out?"
"sooo...we're boyfriends but not courting? sorry I'm really confused...I came here as Lord Black to officially begin courting you because you're it for me Severus...I want to be with you"
"pureblood courting contracts have chastity clauses and I have waited for you for a lifetime...I need you in my arse yesterday. We'll figure out what bonding ceremony we want to do after...but first things first. You, me, my arse..."
