Last chapter 26
Without any emotions in his eyes, he starres at his empty suitcase
without any purpose to fill it.
Scorpius rubbed his eyes and tried to get his mind somewhere else. He‘s leaving at the end of the day, it’s hours away but every second—his hearts feels more emptier—because he has to leave the love of his life behind and move on—but what if he doesn’t want to?
„Do you need help?“ his dad asked as he appeared at the door to his room
„No“ he answered. „I can do this“
He walked to his son and saw that the suitcase was completely empty. „You still have a few hours felt, your plane is leaving late at night, wanna eat something?“
„Yes, definitely“ he followed his father to the kitchen
Scorpius was about to say something when an owl came flying thru the windows and left a letter for Scorpius.
From: Marie-Angle-Healer School, USA, Brooklyn, New York
To: Scorpius H. Malfoy
Dear Mr. Malfoy,
We like to inform you, that there is still an open place for the Potion Master course. As we already told you, you can make the decision of who would be your partner during the years you study at our school. We accept late applications, otherwise you need to study without a partner.

„it’s the school, they want me to choose a partner who wants to study Potions“ Scorpius explained.
„Who‘re you gonna choose?“
„No one, I don’t know anyone who wants to study Potions“ he said. „I‘m just gonna study alone there, so, doesn’t matter“
Draco raised an eyebrow. „I know someone“ he said. „Have you ever considered that Albus might want to study Potions?“
Scorpius froze. „Yea—I mean, he never told me he wants so become an Potions master…and he probably doesn’t want to come to New York with me, right?“
„At the beginning of the year, I asked him what he wants to do and I suggested him Potions Master“ Draco said with a weird grin on his face
„You knew about it?“
„About what?“
„That they expect me to choose a partner“
Draco looked down. „I gave Albus the idea to become a Potions master in the beginning of last school year“ he said. „But I don’t know if he thought about it“
„That’s so silly of you to think that Albus would move to New York with me“ Scorpius said harsch to his dad. „I need to pack“
he went up stairs to his room and still looked at the empty suitcase
Suddenly he felt an urge to just grab everything he owns and throws it into the suitcase. All his clothes, books, and pictures that he kept over the years
As he throws them into it—one picture caught his eye and he picked it up again. It was a picture of Albus and Scorpius in the summer of their fourth year. They got drunk and walked around London with Eudora, Timothy and Sam. Albus thought it‘ll be funny if he picks up a street sign that was laying on the side of the street. He walked around with it the entire time.
In the picture, Scorpius is caring Albus on his back with the sign. That was great night and Scorpius suddenly felt tears in his eyes. These silence tears turned into a sob until Scorpius break down on the floor crying his eyes out.
He knew—leaving Albus is going to be hard, but he would throw everything away just to be with him
He wasn’t able to see clearly, but he surely felt his dads arms around him and pulling him into a tight hug

Ginny entertet the room of her son and saw him burry himself under his blanked. She puts a plate with pancakes and a glass of orange juice on his night stand because he didn’t came down for breakfast
She sits down besides him in his bed and placed her hand on his shoulder. „How‘re you feeling?“ she asked with a calm voice
„Like shit“ he answered
„I brought you breakfast“
„I‘m not hungry“ he said
„I understand“ she stood up again. „Call me if you need anything“ As she left the room, she saw her husband standing besides the door when she closed it. „He’s miserable“ she said. „I hate seeing him like that“
„I hate to say this, but this little Malfoy made Albus really happy“ Harry said. „I can’t believe he huts Albus so much“
„Scorpius is following his dream, I kinda understand him“ they walked down the stairs to the living room. „I really liked him, he’s such a nice boy“
„I don’t know-„
„Just because Draco is his father, doesn’t mean he’s just like him“
„I wasn’t gonna say this!“
„Than what were you about to say?“ she asked harsch. Ginny knows his opinion about Scorpius Malfoy, so there’s nothing much to say anymore since he’s gone now. „Seven years they‘ve been friends, they‘ve been dating for two years. I would be crushed too“
„I was gonna say that—maybe there is a way they could stay together“ Harry said. „Like, I don’t know, long distance relationship?“
„Oh come on Harry, that never works“
„They didn’t even try“ he said and sat down on the couch. „They could visit every Holliday, Albus could sometimes travel to New York to see him because he’s out of age, he can do whatever he wants, and maybe-„
„Wow“ Ginny said and smirked. „You really want them to be together?“
He exhaled. „I had my issues in the beginning, but I truly believe they‘re meant to be together“ now Ginny even smiled more. „They went thru so much together. I mean, can you remember when Albus got the letter that his friend had died? Even when Scorpius was as much as crushed as him, he still went to our house everyday to make sure he’s alright, thats really impressive“
There was a loud crash from their fireplace and as they stood up, Draco Malfoy was standing in their Living room. „So, what are we doing about this situation?“
„Draco, how is Scorpius?“ Ginny asked
„I haven’t seen him this miserable for a very long time…and it just breaks my heart“ he said. „How’s Albus?“
„The Same“ Harry said. „He didn’t even came out of his room once“
„Is there even something we can do?“ Ginny asked Curies

„So, You’re all done“ Eudora said as she helped Scorpius to pack his stuff
They were sitting on his floor and his whole room is almost empty now. „Thank you“ he said to her. „I‘m sorry I called you out of the blue but—I couldn’t do this alone“
„it’s really not that big of a deal, I’m just glad I could see you one last time before you‘re leaving“ she said. „have you spoken to Albus?“
„no“ he said looking at his hands. „I‘m afraid if I’m speaking to him, I won’t leave“
She nods. „I need to asked this now…why can’t you guys stay together again?“
„Long distance is not working, and I need to go to this school because its literally my life goal“
„Just take him with you“
Scorpius thought about the letter again. „he’s never going to move with me to New York“ he said. „His whole life—his family is here in England“
„Albus would do anything for you, he’s so in love with you i‘m kinda jealous“ she said and took his hand. „I see how you‘re feeling, I can’t even imagine how down Albus is“ He doesn’t wanna imagine it too.
„Eudora“ he said quietly. „I don’t want to leave him“ he said
„I know“
„No, I do not want to leave him…and if he loves me than—I need to talk to him, right now“
he didn’t know where the energy is coming from, but he ran down to the fire place of his living room

„How do we convince Scorpius?“ Harry asked as they all sat down in the kitchen, talking about their sons future when they heard someone appear in the fire place
Scorpius ran in the kitchen. „Where is Albus?“ he slaked out of breath
Draco smirked. „I’m his room“ Ginny answers
So he ran up the stairs. And in front of his door, Scorpius took a last deep breath before entering. He saw him under a pile of blankets in his bed He sat down besides him. „Albus“ he said quietly
He jumped up. „What are you going here?“ Albus asked
Scorpius missed does beautiful green eyes of him. „I wanted to talk to you“ he said
„You‘re making this way harder than it already is“ he said
„No, believe me, I don’t“ he exhaled one last time. „I got a letter from the school, they said I need a partner for my study’s, someone who’s willing to study Potions there“ he said. „Come with me“
It felt like the air in Albus lungs just couldn’t get thru anymore. „What?“ he asked. „With you? To New York?“
„Yea“ he said. „You‘ll be a little late but, they‘ll get you in“
„This is insane“ he said. „You really want me to come with you?“
He took his hand in his. „I want to spent the rest of my life with you“ his voice was quiet. „So please, my love, come with me“ He couldn’t believe what he’s asking him, it all seemed like a dream that Albus didn’t want to wake up from.
„Okay“ he said quietly „I‘ll come with you“
