Stupid Weasley
3rd Person
As Y/n walks through the Great Hall doors she realises that not only has she missed the new first years sorting ceremony but she's also missed dinner. Shaking her head and muttering small curse words, she notices the mops of ginger hair and and a small smile plays on her lips as she walks towards them but as she gets closer, she notices some new faces opposite the twins that she's never seen before.
"Must be first years" she mutters under her breath just as she reaches them.
"Fraternising with the first years Weasley?" Y/n remarks as she sits down in-between the twins and notices their younger brother and his new friends.
"Ah mini Weasley is finally old enough to join his elders" she gives a cheeky smile towards him as she leans over to ruffle his hair and lightly giggles at the pure look of hatred plastered on his face.
"Who's that?" Harry questions to Ron quietly as he looks at the older Y/H girl who's just received a forehead kiss from the twin that's sat to her left.
Ron turns his head towards Harry after quickly 'fixing' his hair,
"Y/l/n. George's girlfriend". At the mention of her last name, Y/n takes her focus away from the twins who are talking about their new joke ideas and now fixates on the ginger haired boy.
"Ah can't believe I haven't even introduced myself, sorry about that. First names Y/n and you two?"
An apologetic warm smile adorns her face as her eyes flick between the two sat on either side of the smaller Weasley.
The bushy haired girl flashes a large smile towards Y/n as her right hand instantly reaches out towards her for a handshake and Y/n gladly accepts.
"Hermione Granger, pleasure to meet you".
"Likewise Granger, hope you don't mind me calling you by your last name, I do it with everyone"
Hermione shakes her head and quickly returns to the book she was reading before Y/n arrived. Y/n's eyes stay fixated on Granger for a little while before she realises she hasn't learnt the boys name. Turning her head towards the boy, she notes that he's already looking up at her and a shy smile is placed on his face but she catches that his eyes are filled with fear, a stroke of anger flows through her as her maternal instincts and protectiveness threaten to jump out.
"And you are?" Y/n warmly asks as to show the boy she means no harm.
"Harry Potter"
An audible gasp shocks everyone at the table.
"Harry Potter? THE Harry Potter? I've been sat here for 15 minutes and not one of you two even thought to mention the fact that Harry bloody Potter is sat infront of me? You disappoint me Weasleys." She rambles smacking both the twins upside their heads. The trio burst into laughter as both older Weasleys simultaneously rub the sore spot on the back of their heads.
As Y/n quietly complains to both Weasleys, Harry subtly taps Ron on the shoulder which also seems to gain Hermione's attention.
"She seems fun, I like her." Ron furiously nods at the two before looking to Y/n and George who are messing around and being 'mushy' whilst Fred has gained some other first years attention.
"She's absolutely brilliant, Mum loves her and treats her like her second daughter. Her and George have been dating since their first year, gets sickening watching them though sometimes."
"Talking about us Ronald?" The trios heads perk up at the Weasleys question. Y/n is now leaning into George and resting her head lightly on his shoulder as she messes with his rings that display across his hands, she is fixated on his rings but is still listening to her boyfriend and his little brothers conversation.
"Insulting you more like." A small chuckle leaves George's lips at his brothers statement.
"You've got some learning to do then little Weasley, that was just weak" Y/n mutters. Ron just scoffs but Y/n notices the little side smile Ron tries to hide and can't help but do the same.
Y/n's POV
We stayed seated in the Great Hall until it came close to curfew. I had grown comfortable resting on George's shoulder listening to the bustling conversations around us, some conversations between the older years were questionable but a lot were pretty pointless.
"Hey Love, we're heading back to the common room come on."
(If you're not in Gryffindor house - like me - then just roll with it please lmao)
I looked towards him and saw that he was getting ready to stand up and leave, I hadn't even felt George tapping me at first, I must've been too relaxed in my own world. He took his hands out of mine and stood up before helping me to stand as well, his arm wrapped around my shoulders keeping my tired self steady and led me out the Great Hall doors.
I had only just realised that the trio were walking in front of us with Fred leading them to their new common room, Percy had somehow joined us now as well, no clue where he came from.
"You alright love? Pretty quiet tonight."
"Missed dinner and just adjusting I guess, my hyperness will be back don't you worry." He quickly kissed me and nodded at my words.
Both of his arms were wrapped around me now making it quite difficult to walk at the same speed as the others and we probably looked like right imbeciles to the few stray Hogwarts students walking through the halls.
We reached the common room in no time, Percy muttered the password and immediately as the door swung open, he set off to his dorm room followed by Fred, Ron and Harry. Hermione stood in the common room looking lost and then I realised she didn't know where her dorm was.
"I'm going to kill Percy one of these days. One job he had. One job. Want me to show you your dorm, Granger?" She turned on her foot towards me and nodded eagerly, I chuckled and started walking her to her dorm room.
"If I'm correct, you should be sharing with other first years. Meant to make you feel more comfortable apparently. Ah here we are, your belongings will already be in there next to a bed for you, hope you have nice roomies." Hermione suddenly latched her arms around me in a hug and before I even had time to process, she had already let go. I gave her a warm smile and was just about to turn around to leave.
"Thankyou Y/l/n, Goodnight."
"Goodnight Granger."
I played with my hands as I walked back towards the common room, George was sat on the couch in front of the fire place staring at the crackling fire. He turned towards the noise of me sitting on the couch and snuggling up to him.
