Resurrection

Harry wished to see his parents again once more, to speak with them one last time. Due to necromancy ritual, his wish was granted....

This is my second fanart inspired by GeMerope's amazing fanfiction In Willing Sacrifice. I really love the magical lore worldbuilding in this fic, especialy the necromancy related part, and I loved the scene with briefly resurrecting James and Lily by Necromancy there and wanted to draw a fanart based on it...The key aspects as well as colours I used are based on the magical lore the author of the fic created there so I try to briefly explain, hope it will make sense:). According to it, human beings have 3 parts that are comming apart upon their death, the body, the mind and the soul. In the Black Cosmos, the realm of the dead where the souls are residing after death, are present four moons, which are granting necromancers their powers, each of them over diferent aspect... The yellow orb on my drawing is Glory, one of these Four moons, which is the smallest one of them and grants power over all 3 aspects of the Art - the body, the mind and the soul.During the ritual briefly resurrecting James and Lily, their body, mind and soul were for a short time attached back together which I was trying to express in my drawing...The small blue orbs in front of their mouths are their souls and I coloured them blue because the moon granting power over souls is blue. The ghost like figures floating above their bodies are supposed to be their minds, I coloured them green ish because the moon granting power over minds is green...The aura surroundings magical circles/strings and chains attach Ing them together is coloured purple because according to the author's magical lore worldbuilding in this fic, the purple is the colour of the necromantic magic...
