Jonathan's POV:

Steve just asked me what happy memory I chose for me to cast my patronus

"The time that I got a message from Hogwarts, that was the happy memory that I chose" I replied to his question

He nods

No really, that's the only happy memory that I have after living for 13 years I wanted to say, but didn't

"Jonathan, I'm about to be late for my next class, uh see you later?" He says while he started running away

3 years ago

I was laying on my bed, listening to music.

It was raining, I love the rain, it distracts me from hearing my so called dad and his friends in the living room

They were all drunk, and they were playing who can take more drinks.

I didn't care though, as long as I'm in my room and Dad doesn't call me then... I'll be fine, right?

A few minutes later i started hearing my Dad's friends leaving, with annoyance?

"Jonathan!" He yells at me as i flinched because of the sudden yelling

I stood up from my bed and started running down the stairs as fast as i can before He can complain

"Yes?" I asked

"Why are there only 3 bottles of Beer in the fridge?! I told you to buy 5 fucking bottles!" He yells angrily

"We're late for our electricity bills, dad" I tried to say calmly

"Okay?! And what did you just call me?!" He asks as he started coming closer to me

He bent over and took a piece of glass from the shattered bottle of beer and started approaching me, getting even near as he pins me against the living rooms wall

"I-I'm so sorry, don't, please, the other scar from yesterday hasn't healed ye-" I tried to say but was cut off when i felt the sharp glass making it's way down my wrist as i shut my eyes and clenched my teeth together

All of a sudden I felt the sharp glass enter my skin, it was so painful he dragged it do different positions against my wrist and stopped when there was enough scars, and blood running down my wrist

He let me go and went to his room as I ran quickly to the bathroom covering my wrist with my hands

When i entered the bathroom i started opening the drawers to look for bandages fuck, fuck i say to myself as i opened all the drawers and there was... Nothing

My room I tell myself, I always kept an extra pack of bandages just in case something like this happens

I started making my way upstairs and opened my room, i opened my desk drawer and saw the bandages

I rapped a decent amount of it on my wrist as it slowly absorbs some of the blood

It still hurts but i went to bed and tried to ignore the pain as i fell asleep

The next day i woke up getting ready to make breakfast for my dad, but he was probably still Asleep

I went down stairs and started making pancakes for breakfast, after that i went outside to grab the mails

I started reading them one by one, when i saw a message for- Jonathan Byers? Weird i never got messages from anyone before

I opened it and it said that it was from someone named Dumbledore, before k can even read it, my Dad sat on the chair in front of me

"What's that?" He says

"Nothing" i tried to say

"Give it to me, right now"

"It's nothing, I'll throw it away"

"I said, give it to me!" He yells

I let a sigh out and gave it to him

As he opens the message and started reading it, he lets out a loud laugh

"What the fuck is this, Hogwarts? Magic school?" He let's out a laugh

"What is this bullshit?" He asks me

"I don't know, i just s-saw it in the mail this morning" I replied

He started tearing the paper apart and threw it in the trash can as he finishes his breakfast

Hogwarts? Magic school? I think to myself as curiosity takes over me

That night i couldn't sleep, i was busy thinking about the message, what was it really about?

Magic? I'm not that stupid to believe that, some kids are probably just trying to pull a stupid prank on me-

As i shut my eyes i heard a noise coming from the window and i opened my eyes

There was at least 50 owls outside the house and a few on my window, they all had mails on their mouth

I'm hallucinating, Jonathan snap out of it I said to myself, they started dropping the message on my window and on the roof as they all left and flew away

I pinched myself trying to process that it was real when i felt pain

I opened my window and took a letter and sat back to my bed

I opened the message and it was the same message from earlier

Dear Mr Byers,
We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

From: Prof. Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore

This was all real? What? But, Magic? I don't even think that exist and even if it does i can't do any magi- as i tell myself

A big wizard with a long beard suddenly knocked on my door as i gasped

This is real

I opened the window and he enters inside

"Merlin that father of yours is very much just like other muggles" The wizard says

"Oh, Byers, I forgot an introduction, I'm Hagrid, I'll be taking you to Hogwarts" Hagrid tells me

"But, why me? I don't have anything to do with magic" I replied

"Yes you do, young one, as soon as you get your wand, you'll see-" He says but was cut off

"Fuck head, who are you talking to?" My dad says as i hear his footsteps coming closer

Shit "You need to hide, Hagrid" I tell the wizard

"Don't you worry, Byers" He says as the door opens

"Who the fuck is thi-"

"Petrificus Totalus" Hagrid casts a spell as he points the wand at my dad and it froze him

Wow

"Don't worry, he'll defrost at about an hour, we should get going now" Hagrid says as I nod

Hagrid has brought me to a place called "Leaky cauldron, at London"

I didn't even know how we got here
Hagrid just told me to hold on the apparition?

Hagrid casted a spell on the wall of the Leaky Cauldron shop as the wall begins to open

I still can't believe this

There we're other wizards?

"Hagrid" a wizard waves at him

Hagrid waves back

"Hagrid? We're exactly are we?" I asked him

"We are in Diagon Alley, to buy your supplies for Hogwarts"

"But Hagrid, i don't have money with me" i said

"Professor Albus, Dumbledore, took care of that" Hagrid says as i nod

We went to the exit of the Leaky Cauldron as i saw an alley full of Wizards and kids

Everything is so magical here

"So? Where do you wanna start?"

"Huh?"

"What do you want to buy first? Wands, Robes, Pets?"

"Uh, the pet one is fine" I say as he led me to a store named The Magical Menagerie

I saw owls, cats, toads and more

"Go ahead and pick one, Jonathan"

I nod as i entered the store, as soon as i saw a gray owl... I knew that that was gonna be my choice

"I'll go with the uh- gray owl, Hagrid" i say

"I'll take care of it, why don't you go to the wand shop and get yourself a wand?" Hagrid tells me

I didn't know the directions but i just nodded

After asking some wizards they lead me to a shop named Ollivanders

I knocked at the door at started walking towards the reception

"Hello?" I say, there was no one in the reception

As a wizard out of no where started approaching me

"Oh, hello there young one" the owner says

"Hi, i would like to buy a wand, please?" I hesitated i didn't know what to say

"Follow me, let's test out some wands"

After a few minutes of testing the wands a lot of them doesn't work properly on me, but we finally found me the perfect wand

"Thank you" I say as i started walking out the shop and saw Hagrid waiting for me outside the shop
