Remus sat alone at the bar, nursing his whiskey and trying to come up with a new idea for a story. He had come to Paris to find inspiration, but so far, he had only found loneliness.
But then he heard the sound of a saxophone coming from the stage, and his mood lifted. The jazz music was like nothing he had ever heard before, and he found himself swaying to the beat.
And that's when he saw him. A tall, handsome man with dark hair and bright eyes, swaying to the music just like he was. He was wearing a sharp suit and a fedora hat, and he moved with a kind of grace that Remus found mesmerizing.
Before he knew it, he was making his way over to the man's table, feeling a surge of confidence he had never felt before.
"Mind if I join you?" he asked, gesturing to the empty chair.
The man looked up at him, a hint of a smile on his lips. "Not at all. I'm Sirius."
"Remus," he replied, taking a seat. "You're quite the dancer."
Sirius grinned. "Thanks."
They talked for hours, sipping cocktails and laughing at each other's jokes. They discovered they had a shared love of literature and music, and soon they were exchanging recommendations and discussing their favorite writers.
As the night wore on, they left the jazz club and began to wander the streets of Paris. They walked along the Seine River, marveling at the city's beauty, and then they climbed the steps of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, where they watched the sun rise over the city.
They sat down on a nearby bench, feeling the chill of the early morning air. Remus shivered, and Sirius took off his coat and draped it over his shoulders.
"You're too kind," Remus said, smiling at him.
Sirius shrugged. "It's nothing."
They sat there for a while, watching the city come alive around them. And then, without warning, Sirius leaned in and kissed Remus softly on the lips.
Remus was taken aback at first, but then he melted into the kiss, his heart racing with excitement. They broke apart, breathless and smiling.
"I've wanted to do that all night," Sirius said, his eyes shining.
Remus chuckled. "I had a feeling."
They sat there for a while longer, talking and laughing and kissing, until the sun was high in the sky and the city was awake.
As they walked back to their respective apartments, they exchanged numbers and promised to see each other again. And as Remus fell asleep that morning, he knew that he had found something special in Sirius, something that he had been searching for all his life.
