Kokichi's POV
My original plan was to use Kaito. Kaito was always supposed to be the one to take me out. I never wanted Shuichi to have to be put through losing more people, even if it's just me. Unfortunately, things didn't turn out that way. Shuichi found himself in the hanger with me.
I figured someone would try to save him, I was right. Maki tried to save him. She hit me with a poison arrow during the process. She also hit Shuichi. I'll never understand why but when Maki went to shot me with another arrow, Shuichi jumped in its way and tried to save me. Because of this, Maki desperately needed a anecdote for the poison. Shuichi knew there was some in his lab so Maki ran away to go get it.
When Maki got back I stole her anecdote and pretended to drink it. I didn't want Shuichi to die so I wanted to give it to him. My goal here is to create a mystery so unsolvable that even monokuma can't figure it out. Hopefully a mystery like that will end this game. I don't want anyone else to die. I didn't want anyone to die. Maki eventually left so I handed the anecdote to Shuichi.
"Here take it, you deserve to survive." I said handing the anecdote over.
"But you deserve to live too."
"What have I done here that's worth me making it out? You've solved every trial, they need you." I smiled.
"Fine." Shuichi took the anecdote and took a large sip but didn't drink all of it.
"You have to drink it all for it to work Shuichi. Gosh, do I have to do everything for you?" I walked over and grabbed the anecdote, holding it up to his mouth.
"No, I can do it myself." Shuichi took back the anecdote and put it up to my mouth.
"What are you doing?" I looked at him.
"Either both of us die or neither of us do." Shuichi said shoving the tiny bottle even closer to me.
"Shuichi, I have everything planned out in my head and this is not a part of it!"
"If I make it out of here, I want you with me." Shuichi grabbed my chin and forced me to drink the rest of the anecdote.
"Shuichi you're going to die! The anecdote said you needed the full bottle! You know if either of us dies Maki dies too!"
"We won't die, I just have a feeling." Shuichi shrugged.
"God you hang out with Kaito too much. How am I supposed to carry out my plan if neither of us die Shuichi?"
"I have some ideas." Shuichi smiled and took the lead.
Shuichi snuck out of the hanger and remembered a pink paint can he saw in Angie's lab. We used the hydraulic press to squish the paint and recorded a video to make it seem as though I had gotten squished instead. Shuichi and I hid in the exisals while the investigation was happening. In the end Shuichi managed to confuse everyone while still sticking, partially, to my original plan. Without Shuichi or me there to solve the trial, no one was able to figure it out.
We successfully created the unsolvable trial and even better we made it out alive. Monokuma didn't let us out just yet though. He told us that if we were able to find out who the mastermind was, he would finally let us leave. So we did just that. We went out searching for clues to solve the last class trial.
When we finally figured out it was Tsumugi the whole time we also found out that there was a whole nation watching us on the TV screens. Luckily for us everyone voted to end Danganronpa. That meant that everyone needed to be executed. We accepted our fate. Shuichi came over to me at the time of our execution and held my hand.
"If we're going out now, I want it to be with you." Shuichi said, I saw a small tear fall down his cheek. I squeezed his hand tightly. Himiko came to me and and held my free hand. Kaito went to Shuichi's free hand and Maki followed. We all stood there ready for what was coming for us.
Kiibo finally stopped but we were still alive. A rock fell above us without hitting us, making it hard to see around. I could feel Shuichi's hand still in mine. Himiko had let go however, I reached in her direction and felt her hat. She felt me move her hat and reached her hand out to have me help her up. As soon as Himiko got onto her feet I turned and hugged Shuichi as tight as I could. We made it out alive, together.
