James x Remus (idk what happened)
James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter were lounging in their dorm room after a long week of classes. They were passing around a bottle of fire whiskey and smoking cigarettes while chatting aimlessly.
Suddenly, Sirius brought up a sensitive topic. "So, guys, I overheard some rumours in the Great Hall today," he began, taking a swig from the bottle. "Apparently, some people are saying that Remus and James are secret lovers."
Remus's face instantly turned red with embarrassment while James rolled his eyes. "Oh, please. Don't be ridiculous," he retorted. "Just because we're close friends doesn't mean we're dating."
Sirius, on the other hand, had a sly smile on his face. "Are you sure about that, Prongs? Because I've seen the two of you mooning over each other's essays more than once."
Remus felt his heart skip a beat. He had been harbouring feelings for James for a while now but had never mustered up the courage to tell him. James, on the other hand, had no idea about Remus's feelings but had started to see him in a different light.
Peter, who had been quiet up until now, spoke up. "What about Star Chaser, though? She's been flirting with James all year."
At the mention of Star Chaser, James's eyes lit up, and he blushed. "I guess she is kind of cute," he admitted, taking another swig of fire whiskey.
Sirius scoffed. "Cute? That's all you can say about her? She's a total babe! Just look at those curves," he said, making exaggerated hand gestures.
Remus sighed, feeling a pang of jealousy. He couldn't help but compare himself to Star Chaser and feel inadequate.
James noticed his friend's downcast expression and put a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry, Moony. You're still my favourite werewolf," he said, trying to lighten the mood.
The four friends continued to argue and debate late into the night, their conversation ranging from their latest pranks to their favourite Quidditch teams.
But Remus couldn't shake off the feeling of uncertainty and jealousy that had settled in his gut. Would James ever see him as more than just a friend? And what about Star Chaser? Was she a threat to his feelings? Only time would tell.
