Obi-wan & Ahsoka - De-aging (Star Wars)

Okay, thinks Cody as he walks into the General's office and sees Kenobi and Tano the size of cadets. How do I wrangle both who hate the healers into med bay?

Before Cody can even think further, the General has Force grabbed his blaster from the holster and jabbed it into General Skywalker's side.

"You," he growls at Skywalker, lips curled in disdain, rage molten in his eyes.

Cody has never seen his general filled with such rage but he takes it in and is mesmerized. His face is one he's seen plenty, especially on slaves - someone who has seen another commit unspeakable atrocities. He does not move, for fear of startling the General. The look in his eyes speaks of a hardened warrior and it makes Cody's heart break. So young, for a natborn.

General Skywalker breaks the silence, his eyes stormy and filled with confusion along with hurt, "Obi-wan, it's me, Anakin. You're safe here."

The General's eyes, do not move from Skywalker but Cody can feel how he is assessing the situation through the Force, letting it guide him in a way so instinctual instead of practiced that it surprises him. The General does not back down, only seeming to push Tano behind himself to make himself a shield for her. Cody has always been a little uneasy around Skywalker. The times he has diverted from the plan on a whim have harmed his Vod more than protected them. He does not protect his men like Obi-wan always has - even at a detriment to himself. And so, with how uneasy his General is, he lets the situation unfold without interrupting.

The General scoffs, a hard edge in his tone, "Unlikely, considering you're a Child Killer."

And that makes Skywalker's eyes go wide and his face pale, "What?"

"Your Force presence is permanently tainted with it - I can taste it. I would know; I've seen and killed many bastards like you in the war."

Cody is feeling a little sick around the edges of his mind at the information. He pulls himself together and speaks, very much not wanting more information but asking for it anyway, "What war, sir?"

The General's Force signature brushes against his mind and he opens the shields that he had taught him after Ventress had accessed his mind. He has nothing to hide from the General. His General is still rigid in his posture, the blaster still steadily jabbed in Skywalker's side but he seems to relax in the touch of their minds, seemingly trusting him.

"Melida/Daan," he says. "There's been a civil war there for generations. The children wanted peace but the adults weren't sated enough on their bloodlust. So they turned on their own children and have killed many of them." He pauses for a moment, letting them digest that and adds on bitterly, "And the Jedi could have ended it but my Master decided his attachment was far more important and so left me there to fight without my weapon and left the children to die."

The room was absolutely silent. Cody wanted to strangle his General's Master all over again. He knew it had been bad in his early years as a padawan and had even mentioned something along those lines happening but to see it, made something in him break. He was about to respond in order to get the General to at least back away from Skywalker and closer to him but Skywalker just had to put his foot in his mouth, "Master Jinn would have never done that!"

And, oh, that made the General scrutinize Skywalker with disdain, poison dripping from his lips as he replied, "And yet, he did. Left me as a slave for months before rescuing me, too. The man was not a good one, though he believed he was the pinnacle of all things good."

Skywalker looked absolutely shattered by that remark, Cody wasn't sure which part though. The Little Commander had hugged the General from behind and gently nibbled at his ear. It seemed to ground him from his thoughts and he calmly said, "Now, it would be a good idea to never cross my or the youngling's path again, Child Killer. There are worse things than a quick death, one that you would rightly deserve. Get out, before I change my mind."

Skywalker miraculously did not protest, taking his General seriously, and scrambled quickly out of the room, fear and anger in his eyes. Once the door clicked shut, the General offered him back his blaster and in a weary tone said, "I apologize for taking your weapon. It seemed the only option at the time."

With that, he settled down on the bunk and gathered the Little Commander, who seems about 4, into his arms. She giggles and gave a growl, showing her tiny pointy teeth and says, "Obi!"

He smiles affectionately down at her and it startles Cody to see him so open with his emotions. He takes a moment to center his swirling emotions and thoughts and says, "No apology needed, Sir."

A pause.

"Give me the sitrep," he orders and it sounds like his General but he can see that this version of Obi-wan has given this command too many times for his age. No doubt Helix would want the General in the med bay, just by the way he looks gaunt and tired, his clothes filthy, but most likely he will refuse, even if this version is different, younger.

"All due respect, sir, I'd like to look over any injuries you have first."

The General's face sours at the thought of medical and it makes Cody almost smile - just a twitch of the lips. Tano pipes up, "Both!", wiggles out of Kenobi's arms and snuggles down next to him. She gives a big yawn, large canines showing, and seems to drift off to sleep.

Cody nods in assent at the compromise and Kenobi does as well.
