As Umbridge made her way to the front of the Great Hall, a hush fell over the students and staff. Everyone was eager to hear what she had to say, but no one could have anticipated what was about to happen.
"Attention all Hogwarts students and staff," Umbridge began, her voice carrying across the room. "I have some news that I believe will shock and surprise you all. As it turns out, Ambrosius Potter is not the son of Lily and James Potter. In fact, he is not even a halfblood."
The room erupted in gasps and whispers, as everyone tried to process what they had just heard.
"He is, in fact, the son of James and Athanasia Potter, a pureblood, and the son of an imperial princess from a different dimension."
The silence that followed was deafening, as everyone tried to make sense of the news. Some were in shock, while others were angry that Ambrosius had kept this information from them. The announcement sent shockwaves throughout the Great Hall. Everyone was in disbelief, excluding Ambrosius and his friends. He was dreading for this day that this toad of a professor released this information.
Umbridge stood at the front of the hall, looking smug and satisfied with herself. She had finally achieved what she had set out to do - expose Ambrosius for who he truly was. But her triumph was short-lived, as Hermione quickly pointed out the flaw in her logic.
"Even if his mother is from another dimension, she's still of imperial blood," Hermione said, her voice ringing out across the hall. "That makes Ambrosius the grandson of an emperor of a magical empire. He's still of noble blood, and he's still important."
“Yes, you don’t want to get in trouble with the Imperial Family now, do you, Dolores?” Snape sneered with an eyebrow raised. The boy might not be Lily's son, but he was her godson, he has a sense of duty towards the boy, no matter how much he hates his father now.
Umbridge's expression faltered as she realized the gravity of what she had done. She had not only exposed Ambrosius but had also potentially put Hogwarts and the wizarding world in danger by revealing his ties to a powerful magical empire even if it's from a different dimension. Their strength is still unknown.
Snape stood up from his seat and made his way towards Umbridge, his eyes narrowed in anger. "What were you thinking, Dolores?" he hissed. "Do you realize the consequences of your actions? You have put us all in danger with your reckless behavior."
Umbridge shrank back, realizing the severity of the situation. She had acted impulsively, without thinking about the consequences of her actions. Now she had potentially jeopardized the entire wizarding world.
Ambrosius couldn’t help but to sneer in glee. It was a small payback for the Blood Quill session. There was a part of him scared of grandfather, but as long as he has this identity, he might as well use it to put the toad in her place.
The Great Hall was now in chaos, with students and staff talking amongst themselves in hushed tones. Some were still in disbelief, while others were angry and demanding answers from Umbridge. It was clear that she had made a grave mistake, and now the consequences were catching up with her.
Ambrosius took a deep breath and stood up, his eyes scanning the room. He could feel the weight of everyone's eyes on him, waiting for him to say something.
"I know this news may come as a shock to many of you," Ambrosius began, his voice steady and calm. "But I assure you that my ties to the magical empire of my mother's origin do not change who I am as a person. I am still Ambrosius Potter, a student of Hogwarts, and a friend to many of you."
There were murmurs of agreement from the crowd, and Ambrosius continued.
"I understand that some of you may be angry or confused about my decision to keep this information hidden, but I did so to protect myself and my loved ones. However, now that it has been revealed, I am ready to face the consequences and move forward."
The room fell silent as everyone considered Ambrosius's words. They could see the sincerity in his eyes and hear the truth in his voice. It was clear that he was not defined by his blood or his family's history, but by his actions and character.
Umbridge hung her head in shame, knowing that she had made a grave mistake. She had let her jealousy and hatred for Ambrosius cloud her judgment, and now she had potentially put everyone in danger. She knew that it would be a long road to regain everyone's trust and respect, but she was willing to try.
As the Great Hall began to empty out, Ambrosius made his way over to Snape, a grateful smile on his face.
"Thank you for standing up for me, Professor," Ambrosius said, his eyes meeting Snape's. "It means a lot to know that you still have my back."
Snape nodded, his eyes softening ever so slightly. "You may not be Lily's son, but you are still family," he said quietly. "And I will always stand by my family."
With those words, the two of them made their way out of the Great Hall, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
The next few days were a bit chaotic for Ambrosius. News of his true heritage had spread quickly throughout the school, and many students were curious to learn more about his connection to the magical empire. Some were even a bit envious, wishing they had a similar connection to such a powerful and mysterious world.
Ambrosius remained steadfast in his resolve to be true to himself and not let his bloodline define him.
Umbridge, on the other hand, found herself facing the consequences of her actions. The Ministry was not pleased with her reckless behavior, and she was removed from her position as Hogwarts High Inquisitor. She was disgraced and humiliated, but she knew that she had only herself to blame.
