When Regulus was 10 years old, he first heard the Hymne A LˋAmour. And he liked it right away. He was a hopeless romantic and believed that one day he would find someone who made him feel like the singer of the song and would be with that person for all eternity. His brother Sirius made fun of him for it.
When Regulus was 11 year old, Sirus moved to a boarding school. Regulus was afraid because Sirius was his only friend, and now Regulus had to stay with his abusive parents without him. Sirius told him that everything would be fine and that he would be back soon and nothing would change between them. When Sirius came back home during the winter break, everything had changed. He was no longer interested in his brother and spoke only about James, his new friend. Regulus decided to hate the boy who had stolen his brother forever.
When Regulus was 12 years old, he went to the same boarding school as his brother and met James for the first time. Regulus had sworn so much to hate him, but when he saw him for the first time, he immediately fell in love with him. But Regulus hated him even more. He hated him passionately.
When Regulus was 14 years old, his father beat Sirius so badly that he almost died. When their parents left the room, Sirius begged Regulus to leave home with him. Regulus wanted to, but he was not brave enough. In the end, Sirius ran away alone. He ran to James and never came back. And Regulus lost his faith in love because Sirius was the only person who loved Regulus.
When Regulus was 15 years old, he began to secretly meet James. He doesn't remember exactly how it happened. At first, they were just friends. Then they touched and at one point they kissed. At some point James told Regulus he loved him. Regulus loved him too, but he was never brave enough to return it. James understood.
When Regulus was 16 years old, Sirius found out that Regulus and James were dating. He completely freaked out and made James choose between the two brothers. Regulus wanted to fight for James, but he wasn't brave enough. James hesitated for a very long time, but in the end he chose Sirius. Regulus understood.
When Regulus was 17 years old, James got together with Lily. It was fine because James was happy and that was all Regulus wanted. He wanted Sirius and James to be happy. He never stopped loving them.
When Regulus was 18 years old, he drowned. He had always loved swimming, but he had swum too far out. As he filled the water in his lungs, he thought of Icarus, who flew too close to the sun out of high spirits, crashed and drowned. Maybe Regulus had been too high-spirited to believe that James loved him or that he deserved his love and now he was drowning.
He died with tears in his eyes.

When James was 17 years old, Sirius found out that James and Regulus had a relationship. He made James choose between him and Regulus. Regulus didn't say a word. James knew that Regulus loved him back, but he told himself that for Regulus it was just sex. In the end, he chose Sirius. It was the hardest and maybe worst decision of his life.
When James was 18 years old, he fell in love with Lily. They started dating each other. James was confused by this because he still loved Reulus. He loved him as much as he did in the beginning and he loved him as much as he loved Lily. He thought he had three soulmates, but people didn't understand. They said James could only love one person, but he was sure he could love Lily and Regulus. He had to try at least.
When James was 19 years old, Regulus drowned and James' world collapsed. He never got the chance to love Lily and him. He cried and screamed for several hours or days, he didn't know. He spoke to Regulus' star every night. Things between him and Lily were never the same after that. Even though she tried very hard, she didn't understand how James could love two people at the same time.
When James was 21 years old, he burned to death. He didn't know how it happened, but when he woke up, his bed was on fire. Lily was not lying next to him, since Regulus' death they no longer share a bed. As James burned, he thought of Regulus. He thought of Achilles and Patroclus. Regulus had once told him that the two loved each other so much that they were bound together even in death. James found it incredibly romantic. He hoped that he and Regulus would find each other again in death.
He died with a smile on his face.
