Chapter 7

Luna phone started to ring its was Rolf

Rolf: "I'm glad I found something that interests you, Luna. My grandfather was quite the expert on magical creatures."

Luna: "Yes, I'm sure his book will be fascinating. Thank you for thinking of me, Rolf."

Rolf: "Of course, Luna. You're one of the few people I know who truly appreciates the beauty and wonder of magical creatures."

Luna: "I think it's important to understand and appreciate all living beings, magical or not."

Rolf: "I couldn't agree more. So, is it alright if I come over to your place to give you the book?"

Luna hesitated for a moment, but then nodded.

Luna: "Yes, that's fine. I'll be here all day."

Rolf: "Great, I'll be over in a few hours then. See you soon, Luna."

Luna: "Bye, Rolf."

Luna went around the house, cleaning up every nook and cranny, dusting off the furniture and making sure everything was in its proper place. She couldn't help but feel nervous and excited at the same time, wondering what Rolf's visit would bring.

As she finished up, she glanced at the clock and saw that Rolf would be arriving soon. She took a deep breath and tried to calm her racing heart.

Just then, she heard a knock at the door. Luna hurriedly went to answer it and found Rolf standing on her doorstep, a small smile on his face.

"Hello, Luna," he greeted her warmly. "It's good to see you again."

"Hi, Rolf," Luna replied, trying to sound casual. "Come in, please."

Rolf stepped inside, his eyes scanning the room. "You've done a great job tidying up," he remarked, looking impressed. "The place looks lovely."

Luna blushed at the compliment. "Thank you," she said, feeling a little shy.

Rolf then handed her a small wrapped package. "Here, this is for you," he said.

Luna looked at the package with curiosity, wondering what it could be. She unwrapped it carefully and gasped when she saw what was inside - it was a beautifully bound book, with intricate designs on the cover.

"This is amazing!" Luna exclaimed, running her fingers over the cover. "What is it?"

"It's my grandfather's book," Rolf explained. "I thought you might be interested in it."

Luna's eyes lit up with excitement. "I am! Thank you so much, Rolf. This is the best gift anyone has ever given me."

Rolf smiled at her, looking pleased. "I'm glad you like it. Would you like to have a look at it now?"

Luna nodded eagerly and sat down on the couch, flipping through the pages of the book. Rolf sat down beside her and they spent the next few hours engrossed in the book, discussing the various creatures and their habitats.

As the evening wore on, time just went very quickly Luna don't even realized

Luna: "It's getting late. Why don't you stay for dinner, Rolf?"

Rolf: "That's very kind of you, Luna. I would love to stay."

Luna: "Great, I'll start preparing. Do you have any food preferences?"

Rolf: "Not really, I eat almost anything. Luna, I wanted to thank you for letting me come here today. I've enjoyed our conversation and your company."

Luna: "You're welcome, Rolf. I had a great time too. It's always nice to talk to someone who shares my interest in magical creatures."

Rolf: "Yes, I agree. And if you ever need any help with your research, don't hesitate to ask me. I would be more than happy to assist you."

Luna: "Thank you, Rolf. I appreciate it."

Harry came home after a long day at the Ministry, hoping to see Luna and maybe have a good conversation with her. As he opened the front door, he noticed that it was slightly ajar, which was unusual. He stepped inside and was surprised to find Luna in the kitchen, talking and laughing with a guy he didn't recognize.

Harry walked into the kitchen and was surprised to see Luna laughing and chatting with a guy he had never seen before.
Harry cleared his throat, and both Luna and the guy turned around to see him standing there. Luna's face lit up when she saw him,

"Harry, you're back!" she said, looking up at him with a smile.

As he approached them, the guy turned to him and said, "You must be the famous Harry Potter," and offered his hand to shake.

Harry shook his hand awkwardly, still feeling a bit surprised and confused. He noticed that Luna looked different too - warm and engaged, instead of the distant and cold demeanor she had been showing him lately.

"Luna, who's this?" Harry asked, gesturing to the guy.

Luna's smile faltered slightly, and she looked back at the guy before turning back to Harry. "Oh, this is Rolf. He's a friend of mine, and he came by to give me some books about magical creatures."

Harry nodded, but he couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled in his stomach. He didn't like the idea of Luna spending time with some guy he didn't know, especially when he wasn't there to keep an eye on things.

Ron was still in the kitchen with them, chatting with Luna and Rolf. Rolf put a strand of hair behind Luna's ear, which Harry couldn't help but notice.

Harry couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy at the way Luna was gushing about Rolf, but he tried to push it aside. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Rolf. Sorry I wasn't here to greet you properly. I had to rush back to the Ministry for some important work."

Rolf nodded understandingly. "No worries, Harry. Luna has been a wonderful host. She even invited me to stay for dinner. I hope you don't mind."

Harry's jaw clenched at the thought of Luna talking about him to some guy he barely knew. He didn't like the way Rolf was looking at Luna, like he was trying to impress her or something.

"Well, Luna, I'm starving. What's for dinner?" Harry asked, trying to steer the conversation back to more comfortable territory.

Luna smiled and gestured to the pot on the stove. "I made spaghetti bolognese."

Harry's stomach rumbled at the delicious aroma wafting from the pot. He took a seat at the kitchen table, and Luna served him a heaping plate of spaghetti.

As they ate, Luna and Rolf chatted animatedly about magical creatures and their habitats. Harry tried to join in the conversation, but he couldn't shake the feeling of jealousy that was creeping up inside him.

Rolf raises an eyebrow " And I must say, Luna is quite the cook. This pie is delicious.

Harry forced a smile "I'm sure it is."

Luna smiling "Rolf helped me with it. He's quite skilled in the kitchen too."

Harry to himself " Great. Just what I need, more competition."

As Harry listened to their conversation, he felt a pang of jealousy and anger. He didn't like how Rolf was looking at Luna, and the way he spoke to her made Harry's blood boil.

As dinner winds down, Harry offers to help clean up, but Rolf insists that they have it under control. Harry watches as Rolf and Luna work together, clearing the table and washing dishes. He can't help but feel left out, like he's not a part of their world anymore.

After dinner, Rolf said his goodbyes. Rolf hugged Luna tightly. Thanks for having me over, Luna," Rolf said, pulling away from the hug. "I really enjoyed myself tonight."

"I'm glad you did," Luna replied, a soft smile on her face.

Harry cleared his throat, feeling like he needed to say something. "Yeah, it was nice to meet you, Rolf."

Rolf turned to face Harry, a sly smile on his face. "Likewise, Harry. It's always a pleasure to meet the famous Harry Potter."

Harry's eyes narrowed slightly, not liking the way Rolf was looking at him. "Yeah, well, I'm just a regular guy."

Rolf chuckled. "I doubt that very much."

As Rolf turned to leave, Harry couldn't help but feel relieved.

As Rolf left, Luna turned to Harry. "Did you like Rolf?"

Harry's friends "No, I don't like him. Luna, I just don't like the way that Rolf looks at you."

Luna "What do you mean? He's just a friend, Harry. He's interested in creatures and books, just like me."

Harry "I know that, but I still don't like it. And the way he hugged you before he left, it just seemed like he was trying to mark his territory."

Luna "What are you talking about, Harry? Rolf is just a nice guy. He's been nothing but friendly to us."

Harry "I don't care, Luna. I don't trust him. And I don't like the fact that he's flirting with you right in front of me."

Luna "Flirting? Harry, you're being ridiculous. Rolf is just being himself. And I can't believe you're getting jealous over nothing."

Harry "It's not nothing, Luna. I just don't like the way he's looking at you. You're my girlfriend, and I don't want anyone else to try and come between us."

Luna "No one is coming between us, Harry. Rolf is just a friend. And if you can't trust me to have male friends without getting jealous, then maybe we have a bigger problem."

Harry "I do trust you, Luna. It's him I don't trust. And I just don't want to lose you."

Harry and Luna were done with their baths, but the tension in the room was palpable. Harry knew he messed up by expressing his dislike for Rolf, but he couldn't help the way he felt. Luna was angry at him for not liking her friend, and Harry was jealous of the way Rolf looked at her.

Suddenly Luna spoke up first, her voice laced with anger."So what about your friendship with Ginny, Harry? That's okay? But you don't like Rolf?"

Harry could feel his defenses rising. "What about Ginny? We're just friends, Luna."

"But you didn't mind when she was flirting with you at Hermione's birthday party. You looked so comfortable with her," Luna retorted, her eyes flashing with anger.

"That's because we're just friends, Luna. I didn't want to make a scene and ruin Hermione's party," Harry replied defensively.

Luna crossed her arms, her expression stubborn. "Well Rolf, he's my friend, and I won't apologize for that. Harry you're unfair, Rolf is just a friend. He's kind and respectful towards me, and he's always been supportive of my interests. I don't see why you're so bothered by him.

Harry" It's not just him, Luna. It's the way he looks at you. I can tell he likes you more than just a friend. And I don't like it."

Harry felt frustrated " I know you love me, Luna. But I can't help feeling jealous when Rolf is around. And it doesn't help that you're always defending him."

Luna" I'm not defending him, Harry. I'm just saying that you're jumping to conclusions about his intentions. And it's not fair to judge him like that."

Harry getting defensive "I'm not judging him. I just don't like the way he acts around you. And it's not like I'm not allowed to feel jealous"

Luna's eyes flash with anger as she glares at Harry. "Maybe we should just break up," she says through gritted teeth.

Harry's heart drops at her words. "What? No, Luna, I didn't mean-"

"Don't even try to backpedal now, Harry," Luna interrupts. "You don't trust me or my judgment. You don't like my friends. And you can't even be honest about your own feelings."

"I am honest about my feelings," Harry protests. "I just don't like the way Rolf-"

"Rolf is a good person," Luna cuts in "You, on the other hand, are always second-guessing me and trying to control who I talk to and what I do."

"That's not true," Harry says, his voice rising with frustration. "I just want to make sure you're safe-"

"I don't need you to protect me, Harry," Luna snaps. "I can take care of myself. And I don't need someone who doesn't trust me or respect my choices."

Harry's heart sinks as he realizes how much he's hurt Luna. "I do trust you, Luna," he says softly. "I just don't want to lose you."

Luna's expression softened as she spoke,
"It's not only that, Harry, everything is wrong between us. We don't belong together."

Harry's heart sank as he heard her words. "What do you mean, Luna?" he asked, his voice laced with confusion and hurt.

Luna sighed and looked down, "Rolf is not the problem, Harry. It's your past with Ginny. My insecurities are getting the better of me."

Harry's frustration grew, "Why are you bringing Ginny between us again? I thought we had moved past this."

Luna shook her head, "I'm sorry, Harry. I just can't help but compare myself to her. I feel like I can never measure up to her."

Harry's heart ached as he heard Luna's words, "Luna, you don't have to measure up to anyone. I love you just the way you are."

Harry's heart sank as he watched Luna's eyes fill with tears. He had never meant to hurt her, but he could see now how his past with Ginny had been affecting their relationship. "Luna, I'm sorry," he said, reaching out to touch her hand.

But Luna pulled away, her voice choked with emotion. "I can't help but feel like I'm just a rebound for you, Harry. A consolation prize after Ginny." Her eyes flashed with anger as she continued. "And Ginny always seems to be there between us, like a shadow. Do you even realize how much that hurts me?"

Harry felt a surge of frustration. "Luna, I've told you before, Ginny and I are just friends now. And I don't see her as a threat to our relationship."

Luna shook her head. "It's not just about Ginny, Harry. It's about how you never noticed me before. Even when we were in Hogwarts together, you never acknowledged me. I was always just the weird girl in the corner."

Harry felt a pang of guilt. He had to admit, he had never paid much attention to Luna before they started dating. But he had grown to love her for who she was, and he wanted her to know that. "Luna, you have to understand, I was dealing with a lot in Hogwarts. I had Voldemort after me, and I was trying to keep my friends and family safe."

Luna's eyes grew colder. "I know you had a lot on your plate, Harry. But that doesn't excuse the fact that you never once noticed the girl who was always by your side. And then you moved on to Ginny so easily, without even considering me. Did you ever appreciate me, Harry? Did you ever think about how hard it was for me to be taunted and bullied every day, while you were off with your friends and your girlfriend?"

Harry is stunned by Luna's words. He never realized how much she had done for him, how much she had cared for him, and how much he had taken her for granted.

"I...I didn't know, Luna. I'm sorry," Harry said, his voice choked with emotion. "I never meant to hurt you."

"That's just it, Harry. You never meant to, but you did," Luna replied, her voice quivering with anger and sadness. "You never noticed me, you never acknowledged me, and you never appreciated me. I was always just the weird girl who talked about strange creatures and wore radish earrings to you. But to me, you were everything. I cared for you, I looked out for you, and I always tried to be there for you. But you never saw me, Harry. You never saw me."

Harry hung his head in shame, realizing how blind he had been to Luna's feelings. "I'm sorry, Luna. I really am. I should have appreciated you more. I should have noticed you. I should have seen you."

"But you didn't," Luna said softly, her tears now flowing freely. "And now, I can't help but feel like I'm just a rebound to you. That I'm here because you can't have Ginny. That I'm just a substitute, a second choice. I don't want to feel like that, Harry. I don't want to be the leftover, the afterthought. I want to be someone's first choice, someone's priority."

"Luna, you are my priority," Harry said, reaching out to touch her hand. "I care about you, and I don't want to lose you. Please, don't break up with me."

Luna's tears flowed freely as she continued speaking. "I was so insignificant to you, Harry. Not even a single gift I sent you on your birthday at Hogwarts was worth keeping. Every vacation, I sent you a copy of my dad's magazine to read because I knew you were living with your uncle and aunt, feeling alone. I wrote you letters, Harry, but when school started, you rarely talked to me."

Harry felt a pang of guilt in his chest as he listened to Luna's words. He knew he had not been the best friend to her in the past, but he never realized how much it had hurt her. "I'm sorry, Luna. I didn't mean to make you feel insignificant "

Luna wiped her tears with the back of her hand, but her eyes remained red and puffy. "It's not just that, Harry. Even after everything, I tried to support you when you broke up with Cho, but you moved on to Ginny. Did you ever appreciate me, Harry? All those bullies taunt me. I had to suffer alone because the famous Harry Potter was busy with his friends and his girlfriend, Ginny. I had no friends at that time, Harry."

Luna's eyes bore into him, filled with hurt and anger. "Do you know how many times I cried myself to sleep because I thought you didn't even care? Every time I sent you a letter or a gift, hoping you would notice me, and every time you ignored me, it felt like a knife in my heart. And now, after all this time, you suddenly see me? Why now, Harry? Why only now?"

Harry looks away, unable to meet her gaze. He knows Luna is right, and he hates himself for not seeing her worth before. "I don't know, Luna. I guess I was just too blind to see it. But I do now, and I'm sorry."

Luna looked at him, her tears finally drying up. "Maybe we need some time apart, Harry. So that we can both figure out what we want and whether we're truly meant to be together," she said, her voice soft but resolute.

Harry felt a wave of panic at the thought of losing Luna. "No, Luna, please don't go. I can't bear the thought of not having you in my life," he said, his voice choked with emotion

Luna's tears had dried up but her eyes still glistened with unshed tears. Harry looked at her helplessly, his heart breaking at the sight of her pain.

"I'm sorry, Luna," he said softly, "I never realized how much my past with Ginny was affecting us."

Luna shook her head, "It's not your fault, Harry. It's just that I can't compete with the memories you both created together."

Harry looked at Luna with sadness in his eyes, "But we can create our own memories, Luna. We can make new ones that are even better than the old ones."

Luna looked at Harry with a mixture of sadness and desperation, "But can we really, Harry? Can we really make new memories that will replace the old ones?"

Harry "It's not like that, Luna. You're different. You make me happy in ways Ginny never could."

Luna.scoffs " Happy? Is that what you call it? You can't even stand up to her when she flirts with you right in front of me. You just let her, like it's no big deal."

Harry defensive" It's not like that, Luna. Ginny's just a friend."

Luna's voice is raising "A friend? Harry, you two were each other's firsts. How can I compete with that? I'll never be able to replace her in your heart."

Harry frustrated "You're not replacing anyone, Luna. I love you for who you are, not because of anything Ginny and I had."

Luna voice breaking "Then why does it feel like I'm always second best? Why does it feel like you're settling for me because she's not an option anymore?"

Harry pleaded " Luna, please. I don't know what to say. I don't want to lose"

Luna's voice was trembling with anger as she spoke. "Do you have any idea how it feels, Harry? To love someone so much and watch them happily kissing and fucking someone else right in front of you? To see the person you love giving themselves so freely to someone else, while you sit there waiting for a scrap of attention?"

She paused, taking a deep breath to steady herself. "I regret loving you, Harry. I regret waiting for you all this time, hoping you would notice me. I regret giving you my heart when you were giving it away so freely to someone else."

Harry felt like his heart was being ripped apart as he listened to Luna's angry words. He had never wanted to hurt her, but he knew he had done just that. As Harry's frustration grew, he couldn't contain his emotions any longer. He slammed his fists on the table and stood up, towering over Luna.

"How can you say that? How can you say you regret loving me?" Harry shouted, his voice echoing off the walls of the small room they were in.

Luna flinched at the sudden outburst, but she refused to back down.

Harry ran his hands through his hair, pulling at it in frustration. "I can't change the past, Luna. I can't change who I was with or what we did. But I can promise you that I love you, that I want to be with you. I can create new memories with you, ones that are just ours," he pleaded.

"Why can't you understand? I can't change the past, Luna! I can't go back in time and undo what I did with Ginny. I wish I could, but I can't. And now, you're punishing me for something I can't even control!"

"You're not right for me ,Just like Rolf said"

He felt a mix of anger and sadness welling up inside him.

"What are you talking about, Luna?" Harry asked, trying to keep his voice calm despite the turmoil inside him.

"I'm talking about the truth, Harry," Luna replied, her voice dripping with venom. "Rolf is right, you're not right for me. You never were."

"You think I'm not right for you, Luna?" he spat, his voice laced with anger. "What makes you think Rolf would be any better? Just because he hasn't been with anyone else?"

Luna's eyes blazed with fury. "It's not about that, Harry! Rolf appreciates me for who I am, he doesn't run after every pretty face he sees like you do!"

Harry felt a wave of guilt wash over him. It was true,

"Luna, please," he pleaded, his voice cracking. "I know I've made mistakes in the past, but I love you. I need you. I can't lose you. just...I can't change the past. I can't go back and be someone else. I can only be me."

Harry's heart broke at the thought of losing Luna. He knelt down beside her and took her hand, his eyes pleading with hers. "I'll do anything, Luna. I love you. Please don't give up on us," he begged.

"You're everything to me. Please, don't let my past ruin what we have. Don't let it drive us apart."

Luna: "I don't want to lose you, Harry. I don't want to give up on us. But I need time. Time to heal, time to work through these feelings. Can you give me that?"

Harry: "Of course, Luna. I'll give you all the time you need. I'll be here for you, always. I just hope that someday, you'll be able to see past my mistakes and see the man who loves you with all his heart."
