Chapter one
Regulus was late to work, somehow he had slept through his alarm and ended up getting out of bed at 9:30 instead of 8:00. This sadly happened a lot, to the point where he would set his alarms hours in advance so by the time he dragged himself out of bed he would have more than enough time to throw on some makeup, get dressed, style his hair and contemplate eating breakfast to eventually just leave it and rush to work. Regulus didn’t really like work, i mean sure he worked with his best friend, barty crouch jr. and always got a free snack and drink from the owner of the shop, amelia bones, because he was ‘basically a stick and needed all the food he could get’. He ran through the door 25 minutes after his shift had started to be met with a smirking barty.
“oh come on you where late again!”
“yes barty i was late again now are you going to serve this customer or not?”
“come on mate you cant keep showing up late amelia will chuck you before long”
“yes well she hasn’t had she?”
barty sighed and turned to the guy at the counter, he had fluffy brown hair, tanned skin, circle glasses and was very attractive
“wait actually can your colleague serve me?” the stranger asked. Regulus felt his heart beat drop as a smiling barty turned to him
“come on reggie, the nice man wants you to serve him!” He said as regulus shot him a look that clearly wished him a painful death
“hello sir how can i help you today”
“Hey thanks! what did you friend say your name was?
“Regulus.”
“Hello regulus! well i was just looking round the shops and happened to notice you and think that your rather good looking, so…instead of some coffee could i have your number”
Regulus felt his heart stop as he heard bart spin round, knocking a mug of the countertop in the process.
“i- sorry sir but i am only here to serve you, is there anything else you would like?”
“oh come on reggie don’t be a spoil sport!”
he said grinning
“i can give you regulus’ number sir!”
“oh- thanks you! and please call me james” said the stranger, who was apparently called James, as barty handed him a slip of paper.
“no problem james, reggie will be sure to text you back~” he said waving before james walked out of the shop”
Regulus turned to look at barty, feeling his blood boil rapidly, he cowered slightly but kept his head high
“what. the. fuck. did. you. just. do.”
“oh come on reg! besides i know you find him fit, i could practically hear you heartbeat double when he walked in”
regulus sighed as he picked up his phone, james had texted him
Unknown- hello regulus!
You- hi.
Unknown- so…seeing as i have you number saved onto my phone, how would you feel about meeting up tomorrow?
You- fine.
Unknown- Great!!!
how about we meet outside your shop at 6???
You- ok.
Unknown- ok! its a date
You- no
Unknown- Fine, a mate-date
You- ok
Unknown- Nice! bye bye regulus <3
You- bye.
Regulus looked up to see barty smirking at him once more
“i have done great deeds today”
“your dead to me”
“sure i am, anyway our shifts ended so it’s time for us to head back to our apartment”
“i’m ignoring you all day”
“love you reggie!” he yelled as he walked out the door
“i love you to…”
Regulus heard bartys noises of celebration as he followed him out the shop.
