A Hero's Kindness
The tour......was actually pretty good! The Halls held alot of.......stuff, and Flash was actually a good tour guide.
"Alright, now we come to the Hall of Heroes, where we'll see the memorabilia of legendary heroes; Starman, Sandman, the Crimson Avenger, Hourman, the first Black Canary, the Legacy of the Flash and Green Lantern, and even the legendary team, the Justice Society!" Flash explains as he wheels a now sleeping Khalis through, "If there any questions, please feel free to ask!"
While some of the others were uninterested in asking, Nina raised her hand with childlike excitement.
"Miss Mazursky!" Flash acknowledges.
"Is it true that Wonder Woman fought alongside the Justice Society in World War 2?" Nina knew Diana was an immortal warrior, she just wanted to hear about it.
"Most definitely, when Diana learned about the war, she didn't hesitate to leave Themyscira and help those in need!" Flash explains, "She soon met the Justice Society, each one a worthy hero in her eyes.'
"Why the fuck did she believe she needed to leave paradise?" Bride decided to ask.
"She thought Hitler was actually Ares in disguise. While she did help end the war.......she was disheartened by the fact Hitler was a normal, at least by the fact he wasn't a superhuman......total nightmare if he was......human and she.......couldn't get back home." Flash's looked disheartened before he cheered up, "But thanks to Superman, GL, and yours truly, we were able to find the island......only for Diana to come home while an insane sorcerer by the name of Felix Faust, forcing her to find pieces of a key......that would release Hades and end all of life."
"Jeez, and I thought I was ruthless," Phosphorus commented, "I mean, I blackmailed people, for sure, but that's just evil."
"Got the right, gaslight!" Flash responded, only to hear Phosphorus growl, telling Flash to not call him that again, "So.......anyway, with our help, Hades was stopped and Diana saved her family.......only for her to be banished for bringing us on the forbidden island....."
Nina's eyes became saddened, understanding exactly how Diana's feels by being exiled for something that was out of anyone's control.
Birde's also slightly saddened, she and Diana weren't friends in any way, she respected the warrior princess and her iron grit.......was no different than her......Diana already telling Bride about her......unique birth.......and in no way did Bride believe Diana deserved such treatment.
"Alrighty, let's turn this from sad and deary to all the more cheery!" Flash announces, "Next up will be the Tech labs, and you guys definitely will love it!" Flash turned and started wheeling Khalis forward with Nina, somehow still excited, kept pace with Flash and started asking many questions he seemed all too happy to answer......like he's actually having a good time instead of faking it......
"My, my," Bride heard Medusa say, "he actually is as charming as they say."
"Oooh, go get beheaded again!" Bride insulted poorly as she walked quickly. Everyone started following.......but only Phosphorus stopped when he spotted something familiar......a portraits of the Justice Society's past enemies; The Brain and the Brotherhood of Evil, Cult of Cobra, Eclipso, Ultra Humanite (he hates talking about it), Solomon Grundy (he doesn't remember much), Icicle......and The Shade?
A thought crossed his mind.......has the Justice Society tried to kill him as well? Phosphorus already killed him twice......but is he really dead? Phosphorus put that thought into the back of his mind and joined the others.
-At the Tech Labs-
When everyone entered the Tech Labs, Humanite and Phosphorus definitely liked what they saw. So much tech, and from various origins; man-made, extraterrestrial, interdimensional, and even futuristic!
They soon heard what sounded like a blowtorch at work. Phosphorus, Humanite, and even Nina went over to see the source, which they saw were two dark-skinned males, one dressed in an biker outfit and......a T on his face, and the other appeared to be half man, half machine. But what caught Nina's attention was what the two were working on.
"G.I.!" Nina yelled in complete excitement, seeing the team's robotic friend, his head attached to a new body.
"Friend Nina," G.I. greets as he raises his hand in a greeting gesture, "I am happy to see you and our other friends alive and well!"
"Folks, allow me to introduce two of the greatest minds to fix up your friend," Flash addresses, "You guys already know Cyborg of the Teen Titans and Mr. Terrific, the 3rd smartest man in the world."
"Hey there," Mr. Terrific says as he holds out his hand to shake, which Nina was more than happy to shake, "your friend is something special, despite being an automaton from the golden ages, he's quite sufiticated. We could've made him a fancier body, but he was insistent on his usual body."
"Indeed, G.I.Robot's body was G.I.'s," G.I. confirmed, "and he'll always desire his body."
"Yeah, he was even insistent on us building him the exact way he was built," Cyborg explains as he finishes welding G.I., "never imagined how much hard work this Tech took to make him. I'm honestly impressed."
When Cyborg finished welding G.I., the war automaton started walking, which he had a perfect stride.
"How do you feel?" Nina asked, interested to know how her friend feels.
"G.I.Robot has not felt this mobile since he was first built." G.I. then extended his hand and his rifle came out, "G.I.Robot is slightly saddened from his rifles being empty of ammunition."
"Oh yeah," Mr. Terrific responds, "Batman was......insistent on G.I. being harmless."
"Uh......he's not here......is he...." Phosphorus asked nervously.
"Even if he's not, he's probably listening in or teleports out of nowhere." Cyborg explains.
"It's a habit of his," A voice sounded from above, making everyone look up and Nina's eyes lit up as brightly as they did when she met Wonder Woman as Superman descended from above, "Sorry for being late, Atomic Skull wasn't too coroperate in his incarceration. Anyway, it's nice to meet you all."
As Superman extended his hand, instead of Flagg, who was the leader, Nina shook the Man of Tommow's hand with excitement!
"Mr. Superman.....or do you prefer Kal-El, or any of your other nicknames.....I'm sorry I'm rambling, it's just so amazing to meet you all in person!" Superman chuckled at the girl.
"It's alright, I've had to listen to Flash describe how the Speed Force works in his speed talking." Superman says to help make Nina less nervous, "And I suppose that makes you.....Nina, correct?"
Nina was at a loss for words, simply nodded frantically. Bride was close to laughing as she watched her Angel Fish be so flustered yet excited, it was adorable.
"Well, I'm hoping the League can count on the Commandos to keep fighting the good fight." Superman says with his usual charm and positivity. Bride rolled her eyes while Nina was beaming with excitement that Superman of all people sees them as heroes!
Wonder Woman then strode in.......her face in a steely glare.
"As much as I would like to ask if any of you are enjoying the tour, the trial is ready to commence......" Diana explained, gaining everyone's confusion, but Bride's rage.
"A trial!? We helped take down that MetaBrawl shit with you! And we have to go back on trial!?" Bride stomped over to Diana, both women staring eachother down, eyes staying unblinking due to their willpower.
"Not that kind of trial....." Diana exclaimed, not tearing her eyes off of Bride, even as her patch-work rival's fave turned from rage to downright confusion, "this will be Erik's trial."
The Creature Commandos, except Flagg, Humanite, and Medusa's, were wide-eyed and shocked.
"Dun dun dunnnnnnnnn!" Everyone just guessed Onomatopoeia was just as shocked as they were.
