Bride vs Mammoth
Everyone was seated and awaiting the first round. Medusa, Phosphorus, and Humanite were all seated in various places to avoid suspicion. Medusa's eyes wandered, seeing alot of big names: Black Mask, Penguin, Count Vertigo, Tobias Whale, Queen Bee, etc.
Suddenly, Roulette's face appeared again on the screens.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we're starting things up with a new contender! Hailing from places unknown, she's new tot he arena but I'm sure everybody recognizes her! Behold, the Bride of Frankenstein!"
Everyone cheered when Bride entered the arena, her outfit mainly her iconic one, minus the jacket.
"And her opponent! He's big, mean, and will be sending you to extinction! A combatant with 5 wins and 2 losses! One of H.I.V.E Academy's top graduates, Mammoth!"
The floor started shaking as two massive feet stomped their way to the arena. A massive, behemoth of a man wearing a sleeveless black bodysuit with metal studs and shoes. His light brown hair was unkempt and wild like an ancient barbarian. His stomps kept shaking the ground as he got in Bride's personal space.
"I'm gonna open those stitches back up." Mammoth in a raspy, deep voice that would intimidate a normal person, but Bride gave him a deadpan, bored look.
"The tension is extremely high, folks!" Roulette announced, "Let's see if this newcomer is as good as we're hoping! Get ready, fighters, and........fight!"
-Back in the Truck-
"So how long do ya think he'll last against her?" Flagg asked, wanting to make a bet with the others.
"I don't participate in gambling," Khalis responds, "but, maybe he'll last .5 seconds."
"I don't know, Mammoth is a tough guy. He might last longer than that." Flagg countered......ony for him to notice how worried Nina looked. Flagg decided to drop the bet and walk over to Nina, placing a hand on her shoulder, "Bride will demolish that guy, have confidence in her."
"I do.......but some of these fighters are some of the most dangerous thugs, I just don't want her to get hurt." Nina responds, which Flagg definitely agrees with. The undefeated Champion was Atomic Skull, one of the few people who even Superman finds dangerous.
"I won't deny it, those guys are dangerous, but so is Bride......" He takes a deep breath, "Hey Nina, there's actually something I need to talk to you about....."
Nina gave Flagg a confused look before simply nodding and returned to watching Bride's fight.
-Back with Bride-
Mammoth swung his massive fist.......only for Bride to dodge and slugs the enormous bruiser in the chin, causing Mammoth to collapse.
The entire crowd was struck with such silence a pen would drop and everyone would hear it.......until they all stood and applauded with extreme excitement!
"What an unexpected twist!" Roulette announced loudly, "The Bride took Mammoth out with a single blow! She's on her way to the next round folks!"
-Back in the Truck-
Everyone in the truck practically cheered!
"I knew she could beat him." Khalis states calmly.
"Alright Bride!" Nina shouted with excitement, "She'll win this entire thing by herself!"
Outside the truck, G.I.Robot stood in front of the secret door to enter the truck, his scanners on high alert.
-A few buildings away-
The recordings of the various villains entering the building were being watched by a shadow who was stalking the rooftops. He's been tailing MetaBrawl for awhile, listening to rumors of it returning again.
Worse yet, they must've send in their top combatants, one of them being the undefeated champion, Atomic Skull.
The figure stepped out of the shadows, revealing himself to be Richard 'Dick' Grayson, the first Nightwing and founder of the team Teen Titans, and currently, the vigilante Nightwing. He wore a domino mask, a full body, black bodysuit that covered everything except his head, and finishing the look was a blue bird on his chest.
Something that really grabbed his attention was Doctor Phosphorus, the villain Batman took down 15 years ago and there were no records or reports of his escape. This was serious.......
Nightwing immediately put his index finger to his ear.
"Bruce, it's Dick......I got some news you're not gonna like......and might need to call the League." Nightwing stated to Batman.
